I have the Maui 44g2 - love them. Sold my Evox 12s. I take them to all my events, 200 people or less. The subs are a little heavier than I would like, but they are still much lighter than my QSC KS118s (I'll prob sell those next).
Sold the 12s!
Can you share more info on how they compare to the Evox 12?
You will not be disappointed in hearing them
Can't wait
I been rocking the 44 Deeze since april last year. Took me a few gigs to tame them but wowza! They are power horses that are meant to be played loud! I crank both main and sub all the way up or 3 quarters to be conservative and as long as you stay green and yellow on your channels, they will rock! Some songs like : the Motto, Woman, will make them red limit flash but thats when you know you can drop the trim or channel bass a smidge.
I used a nidty db meter from amazon (40 bucks) and it was blowing 110 dbs (real practical versus 132 in the specs) close and about 95 dbs about 30 feet away … what blew me away is mic clarity as well! Especially from a far, you can hear the mic loud and clear everywhere! And the sound profile is soooo sexy! You gonna love them! I transport one bass at a time with my costco foldable cart and keep my chiropractor visits and big wheel throws exercises up at the gym and that seems to help! Those 4 tweeters are sooo money! Can’t wait for your video
This is a great point. During the night you gotta keep your eyes on the sound, it fluctuates and can cause the limit light to go off. Love hearing you are enjoying them. I'm excited to take them out this season
That’s great! You’re going to need a pair of them. I love my 44’s the bass is mind blowing!😊 you will not be disappointed. I got them when they first released back at Namm a few years ago. I know DJ Jay Book loves his too.
If I love em, I'm def gonna pick up another one!
44 G2 are beautiful sounding, in design and are incredible by default. I think for us wedding guys the 28s are plenty, but the 44s are great for larger weddings without a doubt. How they compare to the 32 should be fun and interesting. Will be fun to see if LD comes out with a 44 G3
I agree. The G3s crushed my season last year. They should be good for most of my gigs. It will be nice to have a system that can really handle larger places
@@AaronStrawn YES. Trust me they are a beauty to listen to. Casters imo are a definite 44 G2 subs. They are BIG and Niice!! They hit HARD!!
The biggest sleeper made by Ld systems is the true column array , the Ld Curv 500ts. It, like the Bose L132, reaches the back of a room without an issue. The bass is deep and clean for a 15inch and you can separate the 6 piece top into 2 seperate mini columns. I just picked up my second Bose L132 because like you I’m anal about my equipment and just having the one just throws my set up off visually. Let me know if you ever had the opportunity to check out the Curv 500ts. ( Negative is the sub is not as portable as the sub 2Bose).
They should take them out to shows, would love to see these
@@AaronStrawn I put mine in a lit column so that it actually hides the speaker (obviously not the sub though)
That I ask aaron if the sound it's gonna be better with 2 ld maui 28g3 and extra sub 15 alto ts 215s because I trust him 76% 😅 little joke it's crazy person with humor anyway I'm the only person for cyprus FUN of hem thanks aaron
❤
Just ordered the 28g3's myself...44's not quite in the budget yet lol maybe next year! Super intrigued by them though so I'm looking forward to your thoughts on them!
You won't be disappointed. G3's are stellar. Once you get them, get into your garage or a large room and just work with your controller, mixer, to get them loud enough and sounding good
I can't wait to see it. But I am still partial to Bose. I just did a JROTC military ball with my Bose F1systems and everyone came up and said ( wow! Not only is it loud and clear, but I feel it too!). LOL
If you ever get a chance to try them, i would love to hear your thoughts. Ah yeah, I was also hiding a sub 2 under the booth. 😂 i know that you would have done the same. LOL even though it didn't need it.
Those subs have 2 10" right? I've seen them at GC, maybe need to fire them up. My only issue is they are an old system. Not saying it can't kick ass, just older tech. No BT, app..
I am trying to decide between Maui 44G2 or spend a little more for RCF Art 932 with 8003. Basically point source or column?
I like columns because of their ease and portability, less cables..that's just me.
@@AaronStrawngreat to hear! Keep almost buying these because I want them so bad then I cancel the cart because 5g for 2 makes me shit myself. Your DJ Barr Interview gave me PTSD btw lol great job
Can’t wait for the video!! I would also like to see the Maui 28 G3’s vs the Maui 28 G2’s…….at some point. I’m holding out till 2025 to see if there will be a Maui 44 G3 in the pipeline.
From what I've read and seen, the G3's are a major update from those G2s. Especially cause the G2s had two 8" subs and the G3 has a 12. I think cause the 44 G2s are still selling out, there's no rush for a G3. I'm with ya, was praying for an announcement at Namm for that
Hi Aaron, I have 2 of the 44g2's they are great and I love them. The subs are super heavy but man they sound great.
do you use the castors to move them around?
Same here. I have the casters but kind of regret getting them as I feel like I don’t get much use of them since I have to lift up to put in my SUV. I think the casters are beneficial for people with trailers to roll in and out of gigs instead of carrying and rolling.

@@cesarreyes200 ua-cam.com/video/tnNXMeAWW6c/v-deo.htmlsi=2WkedshFM81hbsYE
@@cesarreyes200 that’s what I’m thinking too. I’m curious to see if they’d both fit on my rock n roller cart
Ya, boy! Get it!
I got it!
When is the video dropping regarding the 44 G 2’s ?
Soon. I’m about half way through the editing
44 g3 i think would be the one for me but doesnt look like there will be... like to see the 44 g2 v 28 G3
I was hoping for one announced. I'm not sure if anyone can get that 15" sub under 70 pounds
Will you have to return them after making the video or are they gonna let you keep 'em? Either way, what a sweet deal!
I get to hang on to any products I review for them. Companies set aside products specifically for reviews
Would love to know which ones are the best for the 500+ guests to consider.
@@TheOnlyDjMikeStone i don’t think any column could cover those numbers. You’d need more than 2 for sure
wehre is the new video mate? I am holding on the buy of my new speakers....
It’s comin!
I hear a lot about sound throw distance and falling off of speakers as the people count starts to increase in some versus others. Always looking for analytical feedback.
I’m not smart enough to give that kind of feedback. I think other channels have done analytical work on these speakers
I want to see that comparison. Does anyone have problems with the 44’s clipping or limiting out ?
I have the same problem with 2 ld 28g3 same times when I play half volume for 3 hours but when I take extra the sub 15" now it's OK i push more power on the main no in the sub volume of 28g3 and full in 15" and the sound 3 times more stronger
Pro32 /Sub2 is a little lighter :) You will see. Hope you have a good chiropractor!
Lol, just swing a board at my back, I'll be good!
Can't wait 🎉
Same!
Speakers!!!!
You knew it was happening!
@@AaronStrawn and I love it !! Gear nerds unite!!
Again bro. I just want the J8s. Lol.
Go get em!
LFG homie!
It's happening!
Weight vs Value compared to a top and bottom like the LD ICOA AND ICOA SUB .
Def covering the weight. It's what I am most curious about
May have said this before, but the sub didn't feel like 80lbs when I picked it up at Harvest of Sound. Maybe its the shape that made it seem lighter than my 181.
@DJLazyKid icoa 12 bt top and icoa 15 bottom total would be 1300 USD compared to MAUI 44 at 3000 USD
ICOA 15 AND ICOA 18 SUB in white 1600 USD.
So my concern would be if the convenience is worth price against the bigger system.
Weight wise i would also like to find out.
@@mixx_factory There are a lot of factors to consider for anyone in the market. I'm pretty much sold, but have other necessities to handle first.
If you love the 28s, you will really love the 44s
I do. Can't wait to pump them
Lbs, and SPL
Done!
zero reasons to do anything but the Bose L1 Pro 32's.
EV 12’s is the truth! True wireless!
Can I fit a LD 28 G3 in a car?
I can fit 2 in my Nissan Rogue
Damn you. I just bought the 28 G3s. Don't make me want the 44s. They are too heavy for this old guy.
You will love the G3s, and if you keep following me I will make you broke lol
@@AaronStrawn but I will have a heck of a lot of fun.
Just get some Bassboss speakers and never have to second guess your speakers ever again lol.
I never heard them but I have few red flags 🚩
1) So much marketing... Too much.
2) Priced almost like top brands Meyer / Danley / EAW / L'acoustics etc. You can get a lot of options at this price point used or new, active or passive. So bassboss not on the first place in the list. Almost any professional speaker will sound good - it's not a rocket science
3) Weird design. Ok for the clubs but a bit strange looking for weddings
@@djfreesoul I own them and they are everything they say they are. And compare to the big boy brands 100%
I agree with a lot of what you're saying here. They are not my fav design. They're pricey too. But I do here great things about them. Maybe not for the mobile world
Amy thinks: hmmm, Maui 44´s = bigger subs = Aaron HAS to go to the gym = more muscles for me" 😉
The 44´s will blow away the Bose - if we look at dB. But the 44´s are getting old, if EV´s RD-department isnt´working on a new Evolve 70 (Ev 30´s=10", Ev50´s=12" and Ev70´s=15") then they are simply stupid letting LD 44´s and those ancient yr2015 RCF Evox12´s run with all the 15"-customers. I hold on to my tops+subs, much more versatile for me, can use as 2.2, 2.1, tops alone, etc. And even the worst crap in-house-system sounds better if I bring a sub, goes from mixer to sub, set a fx 120Hz x-over and from the subs xlr out into the house-system, haven´t seen a column-array system that versatile yet.
lol, see?? It's a win for everyone!
I love your insight here and agree. EV has a shot here to takeover. They did with the Everse 8, maybe they can do it with a 15" sub column
The 44’s are great. They are my go to since March 2021 for 75% of my events. They have over 150 weddings on them and still rocking! Enjoy bro.
Love hearing that!
Too expensive shit.
Columns are more expensive because of their ease and portability. I don't have an issue with the price tag.
