  • neurocare’s Dr. Trevor Brown interviews Dr. Leslie Sherlin, a psychology professor, sports psychology consultant and counsellor, and neurofeedback clinician who heads the International Society for Neurofeedback Research.
    In this episode, they discuss Sherlin’s work with with Red Bull’s No Limits athletes and measuring peak performance brain activity as well as working trialing Neurofeedback with minor league Baseball players. He also discusses his research on Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, using Low Resolution Electromagnetic Tomography (LORETA) to understand brain activity in these conditions. The conversation also covers his work within law enforcement, exploring the impact of expressive arts therapies on physiological health.
    While discussing the promise of neurofeedback and brain training, they speak about the relatively slow adoption rate of these technologies within the broader healthcare landscape.
