When they initially broke up in 2009 I figured they'd be back in about 5 years. I was substantially off on my prediction but as a massive fan since 1995 I can't believe it's actually going to happen. It almost feels unreal. And not to get too greedy, I'd love a new album to coincide with the shows along with shows in the US (which would probably be at festivals). Keeping my fingers crossed but, for now, I'm absolutely thrilled!

Why? those two dudes are horrible musicians. We need Gem and Andy. Oasis sounded so much better live once they got Andy and Gem. All those riffs, solos and second guitar fills could finally be played live once Gem came into the picture. Anyone saying they need to bring Tony, bonehead, and Quigs back is purely saying it for nostalgia reasons. I don’t mind if they wanna toss bonehead in there to play some simple bar chords but we need Gem in there as well.
@@kperez83 i do agree, Andy and Gem, from a technical standpoint, were the most real musicians out of all them actually lol. I think the nostaligia is an important part though. LG has already been playing all the hits on his tours already (most recently with Bonehead no less). I hope it wouldnt be just the 2 brothers and a bunch of new hired guns, the Gallaghers are Oasis but it still wouldnt be Oasis to me. I think at minimum Bonehead should be in there because I think people do want the visual nostalgia of the personnel from the first 2 albums, being Oasis most important albums. Of course, us die hards like stuff from their post 2000s as well

They need Alan White to be a part of it to get the peak-oasis sound and feel

Noel went looking for some of the demos to be on the Definetly Maybe 30th anniversary album. Perhaps he uncovered a number of unreleased songs that are good enough for an Oasis album. Alternatively, Noel said he was goimg to record an acoustic album next, but recently announced a rocking album instead. Perhaps we are going to get an Oasis album plus concerts. If they are getting back together, does that mean hell froze over and that the Toronto Maple Leafs are going to win the Stanley Cup next year?

I'm glad I'm in Canada because buying tickets to the UK would stress me out, still hoping for a North American tour eventually if a reunion is announced
I don’t think the ticket situation will be too bad, especially if the rumored nights are real. From what I see Wembley holds a lot of people so 10 nights will be a lot. Not sure about Heaton Park though

Noel said he would only do OASIS again for the money. Kind of sad really. Who know what the Announcement will be. The website will crash tomorrow. The online UK newspapers will be all over it. Any line up of OASIS will sell out in minutes. If there is no new music who cares. Who want to see Noel and Liam on stage but not friends. Don't be Sad OASIS split up. Be happy that OASIS happened in the first place.
I get where you're coming from, hopefully they are doing it for the right reasons. Either way it'll be cool if they've patched things up

Noel has said as much on a few occasions now, but without fully stating it. Which would be a bit much even for them two.
Liam just ‘says/shouts’ the words down the mic now and constantly tries to give it ‘attitude’ with literally ever word. Which itself is annoying, and a bit of a caricature of himself.
It’s sad to watch.
I am a big Oasis fan and for me Noel G is the most influential songwriter (I write music as well) and probably my favourite musician of all time, BUT, despite all this, I do not consider an Oasis reunion is necessary. That ship has sailed a long time ago. Oasis had reached their peak and fulfilled their potential ages ago, there is no unfinished business there (or at least it shouldn't be one). People remember the Oasis from the '90s, at their peak, when Liam had a great voice (I cannot stand his voice now to be honest, I much more prefer Noel's) and when Noel could play lead guitar, which he can't anymore as himself stated several times during the recent years, as since he's gone solo he only strums chords, he's not a guitar hero anymore (well, many would claim he never was). So my point is: that Oasis so many people miss is long gone and it will never be back. I suspect a reunion, if indeed happens, will be seen like a disappointment on the long run, or even like a sad event, despite the initial mega hype which it would certainly generate.
Absolute nonsense. Oasis are more popular now than they were in 2009. They’ve gained popularity since they broke up because of social media so there’s an entire generation of kids dying to see them back together. Both Liam & Noel have had number 1 albums as solo artists so clearly they’ve still got it. People absolutely love them & rightly so. Are you saying because they won’t sound like they did when they were 25 that they shouldn’t perform anymore? Try telling the Rolling Stones that.
@gettobythesea Yeah, this is exactly what I'm saying, mate. You seem to care about the success part and their bank accounts, whereas I, as a simple fan, am only concerned about the artistic part, which we all know it's gonna suffer.
Who knows what a 2025 version of Oasis will sound like, they also have Gem to tackle the leads if Noel plays rhythm. I don't think they can re-capture the magic completely but it could still be cool.

No one wants to see a crappy reunion. Especially as the backing band’s gonna be Noel’s band. His bass player wasn’t even in Oasis. Who wants to see a band reunite with hardly any original reasons, purely to pay for a divorce? No thanks.
Noel's band has Gem and Chris Sharrock in it who are former Oasis members. If a reunion does happen, I'd imagine Andy Bell would be back on bass
