Interesting hearing Glenn before Purple. I got to meet him in Los Angeles in the early 90s. He was generous enough to talk with me for some time and patient enough to answer all of my annoying questions. Great guy, great memory! Thanks, Glenn.
These cats were great. What a jam. That last snippet of Black Cloud (Following Me) is prompting me to dig that album out and crank up the dial to eleven.
Fantastic footage of the lads!! Way Back To The Bone was the opening number when I saw them live in Annapolis in 1973!! Just weeks before Glenn left for Purple....I always said they would've been huge if Hughes hadn't jumped ship!
Thankyou Dave for the great upload I really enjoyed your time and effort, been a Glenn Hughes fan but never heard any trapeze before its excellent, I just subscribed all the best from 🏴
I was at this show !!! I was a sophmore at UTA. I saw Trapeze many times but this was the only time I saw the classic trio lineup. I remember being a little dissapointed in Leslie West that evening. THANKS FOR POSTING !!
VERY VERY GOOD......................................................................................................................................................
Love it. What a great band they were. Surely they would have hit the big time if G had stayed. Must have been a tough call at the time though, I'm sure.
i sooo love degraded media especially when it is classic rock n fuckin roll baby!!!!! rock on Glenn my friend... saw you in august or september i dont rember
Nope , Deep purple fell apart in 75 and Hughes briefly rejoind Trapeze in 76, iBelieve he left again in 77 to be replaced with Pete Goalby on vocals ( bass i dont know)
Thanks Paul, did not know this and great info. Saw Glenn just a couple of weeks ago in Valkenburg The Netherlands where he did a tribute to Purple’s 50th anniversary of the Burn album. The man still got it. Regards JP
@@JPSTINGRAY62 I saw them in Zoetermeer and agree that Glenn stil has a great voice , the band was very good also I am happy to have had the opportunity to enjoy this part of the Deep purple legacy with one of the original members In the early eighties when i was a young and handsome man a friend had a copy of the dead armadillos live in Texas album of Trapeze with Pete Goalby on vocals which was also a great album I
@@sandyboggs8099 I did not know that , i know the album last concert in Japan was recorded in 1975 and presumed that was their last gig , but its ofcourse possible they played more gigs after that , only not in Japan Well march 1976 leaves 9 months left to play with Trapeze
Much as I love Glenn (seen him live twice), him dating Linda Blair when she was 16/17 and he was 25 was kind of... odd. Though she also dated Rick Springfield when she was 15. I don't know why she kept going for much older guys.
Dave Holland on the drums
Legend trapeze ❤

Not before Purple, after. 1976
@@GaryLangEngr I didn't know he did work with Trapeze after Purple. But it does say 76. Thanks for that. I used to be a deep purple encyclopedia.
I remember seeing that LP of a Willis on the cover or something
Glenn said he was going to play funk
I got Medusa.

What a band, seen em many times back in the day. They were gigs when you could see the band not video screens and inflated prices
