You ever just feel like you need a change in life? That was me x10!! Work wasn't it, my city stopped feeding my spirit and I just felt like God was calling me elsewhere. After praying about it ALOT, I feel like Mexico City is the perfect place to step into for this next season of my life. It's super scary and 100% giving delusional but I'm so excited to see what God does during my time out there. Here's to the start of something beautiful 🤧✨

This is crazy Mexico has been weighing on my heart so heavy all of 2023. I have family in Mexico City and my dad was born in Mexico so I have a right to citizenship. The fact that you are courageous enough to go to Mexico on faith is truly inspiring as a fellow follower of Christ. I am connected to Mexico because that’s where my heritage is. I can’t help but feel like I don’t belong in the US. Not only that but the world is so much bigger than the US and there is so much opportunity outside of the US. School being one of them. I can’t afford college in the US but if I move to Mexico I could go back to school! I am saving up to move to Mexico City hopefully within a year. Bienvenidos a mi México lindo🇲🇽

I moved to Queretaro Mexico in 2019. Best decision of my life. I stopped taking sleeping pills and losing my hair. I love this city.

Ocean, mountains, friendly people great food, international airport, city vibe yet not too overwhelming, clean, great weather, 1 hr flight to CDMX...the list goes on. I just got back from my vacation there 2 days ago. I wish I could go back. When I can work. completely virtually, I will move there too!

Everyone is totally welcome to Mexico City, provided they respect the rules and our culture.
A piece of advice is trying to spot abusive people who will charge you more only because you're a foreigner or don't speak Spanish. Befriending Mexicans will be quite useful because they can help you avoid this kind of abuse.
Also, get familiarized with the seismic alert sound and earthquake evacuation protocols.

Another terrific video, I love that you touched on gentrification as well as broached the water issue. I am constantly trying to remind people of the issues some of us are making worse by jumping on the bandwagon of those who come with $$$ and the oh it is so cheap to live in Latin American countries without realizing our cheap is substantially higher that what is natural for the locals. We need to be more mindful especially my sistahs and brothers who have seen gentrification and how it has torn apart many black neighborhoods in the US. Sure cleaning up and making areas more aesthetically appealing brings jobs, to some folks who are native to the areas, but, that doesn't mean folks should accept the prices that are dislocating the local folks. Harlem, Brooklyn and other areas in NY are prime examples of gentrification in the US. I really can't blame the original local folks from wanting foreigners out. I am not saying it is just the fault of the foreigners making things worse, the property owners are just as much at fault be they locat or outside investors. Yes the landlords should want to recoup what they invest, but, not at the cost of gentrifying an entire neighborhood. Greed is everywhere, but, we should all be mindful of our contribution to being part of the problem and trying not to be part of the bigger problems. When I visit Mexico, I try to live, mostly where the locals live, while staying mindful of areas deemed safer for all. As far as learning the language I have an old brain and though I have take several courses, somehow I haven't retained much, but, I do keep trying to do what I can and I do plan to try harder, but, I can barely remember why I walked into a room sometimes. LOL! Anyway keep up the great work you are doing to stay informed and educate yourself about Mexico cities and the country in general.

Girl, you’ve got to take a trip to San Miguel De Allende!!! There’s a lot of diversity there because of expats who retire from the U.S & Canada and its beautiful 😍

We found ours through a housing Whatsapp group chat! There are lots of groups on Facebook and whatsapp. We went through a standard paperwork and income verification process to get the apt; but because we're foreigners, they did charge us an extra months worth of rent for the security deposit

Mexico city is probably not what you think it is. Pollution is bad, very much so, and earthquakes are something to be considered. Not the best place to live in my country. Hope you won't regret it. Sincerely.
