It makes sense. Christmas is always a nostalgia thing, and now that the kids who experienced Christmas in the 90s are adults and decorating their own homes it makes sense they want it to be as reminiscent of their youth as possible.
I was born in 1994 back, then christmas was more magical and amazing than it was now. My family and I would meet up with my relatives at my grandma's house, and we would eat Menudo and Thamales and we open the presents at midnight then Christmas day we go to my grandma (from my dad's side) and we open more presents and just watch movies and hang out.
Christmas is always more magical when you're a child and all of your loved ones are still living. I feel this way about Christmas in the 80s. My parents, and all of my grandparents, have passed away. 😢❤
@jenniferhansen3622 My grandparents passed away, and after that, all my family members and relatives drifted apart. Last year, for Christmas, I didn't do anything. I just hung out with my step dad and mom. They don't celebrate holidays anymore, so my step dad smoked a chicken in a smoker, and we had that for lunch and dinner.
@@isaacgonzalez4139 I still do Christmas the way my mom did. Lots of homemade appetizers and cookies and treats. Homemade soup and hot sandwiches for Christmas Eve. A big dinner Christmas day. I am married and have grown kids so I enjoy Christmas with my little family, but I miss my parents and grandparents!! My siblings live far away. Still, I make it special for my little family. We play games, and watch movies too. 🥰
My mom had a huge collection of Dept 56 Christmas houses and extras that I inherited when she died. There were so many pieces that I never had enough room to set them all out. About 18 years later, I held an "Anti Garage Sale" in which everything was free. I invited family members and two of my nieces took the collection. It made me happy that the collection would continue to bring joy to my family. P. S. Almost all of my ornaments are glass, which I consider the prettiest of ornaments.
Maintaining traditions isn’t tacky, it’s nostalgic. Let’s stay positive ❤

I think Nov 1st is a good time to start decorating so that you can enjoy the hard work you’ve put in for more than 4 weeks

Merry Christmas Eve. 🎁 🎅 🎄
So cool!
Its not the 90s without Bubble lights
Those large glasses are back from what I see lol
Tinsel wasn't 90s.... we had it 70s....
The girl talking about it even said it's a 50s and 60s thing, she just likes the vintage aspect of it
No more white lights so boring
