I take “the more that you say the less I know” more as a reference to her being guarded and him taking her by surprise and disarming her. Also I think that aligns with the “wreck my plans” part. She wasn’t planning on falling for him.
Yes this! I think Joe was a big green flag in the beginning and exactly what she needed at the time. She wrote 2 albums just about falling in love with him.
Fun fact: Taylor wrote this drunk in under ten minutes and decided to write Evermore! She knew this was the track 1 when she wrote it!
wait, how do you know this?
i haven’t heard this story about Willow before. I only knew Tis’ The Damn Season was written alone & drunk after working with Jack & Aaron while recording Long Pond Studio Sessions.
Taylor says this song is how falling in love feels like a magic spell being put on you
Taylor knows how to write a catchy song and she uses it deliberately to make it an ear worm. She knows exactly which songs she wants to be singles and she writes them to impact radio. It’s very purposeful. She often repeats phrases but uses changes in dynamics to make it sound fresh.
So shipwrecked wines can be very valuable. They go on auctions and sell for tens of thousands of dollars; a shipwrecked Heidsick from 1907 sold for over a quarter of a million. You might say they're priceless - especially those lost in the current, still undiscovered.
I like to think that's where priceless wine lyric comes from. 😌
wow i never knew that🤯
Love this. There’s a lot of ships with Joe songs, I always imagine a wine bottle thrown from an old ship but I had no idea about any actual history
Actually, Taylor says "that's my man" 13 times, which is her lucky number!
I think the “lost in your current like a priceless wine” is a play on words with current like the water waves and currant like the fruit which can be made into wine
The complex flavor of more quality wines are often lost in most peoples pallet, notes of currant are one of those, thus why she says the “lost” part of the lyric as well.
When Travis was at the concert in Sydney, she pointed directly at him, that's my man. ❤
LOVE THE EDITOR!!! 😂😂😂
To whoever edits these videos, I love you😂
Lost in your current like a priceless wine reminds me of some really high end champagnes being kept underwater in the sea as part of the process. There was a shipwreck that was discovered a century later and there were many crates of champagnes onboard and they were really good despite such a long time having gone and some were sold for hundreds of thousands of euros and now some champagne houses age their wine undersea and they are very rare and served at very special occasions.
The two of reacting to Taylor together is my very favorite. Your chemistry is undeniable and you both bring such complementary perspectives to your analyses. I basically want you two to do all your videos together! 😂❤
Side note you two look so happy and I’m happy for you 💕
Just here to say I love you guys, and David…of course.
You're so fun and SO lucky to be hearing this all for the 1st time. Willow is one of my faves!
I found this description on the Genius site. It is a great site for looking up any artist, their music, lyrics, and more! Love your Taylor videos!
Swift shared during a UA-cam chat for the music video:
‘Willow’ is about intrigue, desire, and the complexity that goes into wanting someone. I think it sounds like casting a spell to make somebody fall in love with you (an oddly specific visual)
You should totally react to Speak Now World Tour
Its been almost 2 weeks! You haven't posted the suprise songs and the Midnights era reaction?! 🥲😭
Midnight's video premier's 3/8/24. I see the midnights thumbnail video but not available just yet.
@@bearbait2010 oh yeah i see it now. 8/3
We need an evermore album reaction. Please please pretty please!!!!!
"wreck my plans = rearrange my guts" me🤭
The collabs are amazing!!! 🥰
great reaction yall! love to see your collabs :)
You should do an album reaction to debut next pleeeaaasssseee!
Now I'm jealous. I also vibe only with music and rythm when listening to songs. I just need to go and read lyrics separately when I want to know more, what the song is about. But this is damn hard for me, I'm not English native and she uses so hard poetry for me to understand it at least partly. And you have such handsome lyrics explanaitor 😉
Love this song
Also loved this video!!
She slightly changes lyrics or the way she sings 🎤 them
In my opinion, the repetitive lyrics just indicate the importance of the lyric. The more it’s repeated, the more it’s important.
I love the editors every time there's a Joe reference 😂😭
I love your insertion of Taylor/SacredHeartJesus with her message for us. On point much? Classic. One note on repetition of verse: I think some of the best songwriters do it with slight changes. Stevie Nicks, James Taylor, Bruce Springsteen, etc. They riff -- and yes -- the slight deviations are incredibly significant or they are in the vibe of the musical moment.
Please react to cowboy like me, i think its one of her best songs
What she wants is it big enough love that it changes her whole life that the magic just takes over
Are you going to react to the midnights era soon?
I think she repeats lyrics that there's a lot of imagery to. She still has just as many new lyrics, but it feels like with some of the more imagery heavy lyrics she repeats them more, almost like an instrumental break to just let your mind wander. It's not the best on first listen when you are very committed to understanding the lyrics, but after it becomes a great, pretty place for the mind to wander when it's on in the background. Or the repetition serves to strengthen the emotion it is portraying. Maybe the repetition of "that's my man" is to convince herself, maybe convince others, maybe to comes to bring it down to reality. Idk why she does it, or if this is right, but it usually feels pretty natural to me. I only have 1 or 2 songs that I really don't like it in.
She wanted it to be like a witch spell that's probably why it repeats a lot
My dogs named after this song
Where is Midnights eras tour reaction?? Please!!!!
You both should react to Lana’s poetry
Bait & Switch is a manipulative action.
Can you react to Lea Michele:
Roots Before Branches (Full Version)
Sweet Child of Mine
Battlefield
I know you’re on a TS kick but PLEASE IM BEGGING U to react to halsey’s IICHLIWP album🖤❤️❤️🔥
Peoples reactions to TS vocals I find so interesting because it's clear that they post production edits, not because its hard to believe its possibly but quite literally they altered. Fascinating
It wasn’t a repeat
Seems to me almost all contemporary music repeats way too much, in particular pop and country. It's a formula to get the earworm in the chorus stuck in your head.
Can you please react to Beyoncé AOL session from 2008
Danny, you need to watch more actual videos rather than listen to lyric versions. Yes there are times when she repeats lyrics but not necessarily to pad a song out, it’s more of a note that you heard and should have understood it the first time. Taylor’s vocabulary is immense, it’s why she’s so good at storytelling, most English Literature teachers don’t have her vocabulary and she’s been doing this since she was 13 (so just over 20 years) and her vocabulary back at 13 was incredible to say the least. Like I say, watch some videos and the visual clues you get will explain the lyrics 😉
You know this is a Collab and they both made very clear multiple times in the video and AAAALLLL the other collabs they're watching the music video on Danny's channel, right?
@@Glee10Anos yup, I’m subscribed to both and have been for some time, I first discovered Audrey around this time last year
My deep dark secret is that i dont actually care for willow except as its performed live at the Eras tour.
Id be really interested in watching 7Bananas reaction to Would've Could've Should've though, even though it is a bit repetitive.
Personally, I’ve always complain. That song is repeat repeat repeat words throughout. So it’s been a pet peeve.
The thing is, her ex she was with for 7 (6?) years IS famous. It’s Joe Alwin - an actor who is bigger now than he was 6 years ago. Because of Taylor. He was all “I don’t like the limelight boohoo me” and now he’s milking the shit out of the breakup and the new album she’s releasing
Is he milking it though? I’ve just not seen anything that explicitly says that and as far as I can tell he isn’t a bad person. That’s just my opinion though
I think 💭 this song is about her relationship with the Illuminati. Also Invisible String
Okay, grandma, let's get you to bed
😂😂😂
