Long Range PoE+ Switch vs POE Extenders

- Both long range POE+ switch & PoE extender can achieve 1500ft PoE continuous run over cat5e or cat6 Ethernet cable. Technically, both devices are using the same long range chipset. The long range PoE+ switch provides data exchange, but PoE extenders don't have any switching function. In this video, you will see when you should pick the long range POE+ switch and when you should go for PoE extenders.

Please slow down your cadence of speech at the Key Points so we can better understand what you want us to know!
Thank you so very much for taking the time to present such valuable information to us; it is badly needed, as there are a LOT of YT vlogs that are LONG on 'theory', but SHORT on Real World Practicality; you provide us with Real World Solutions in an understandable paradigm!

You might want to consider offering up your presentations for download from your business website, pre-classified and categorized for easy access to your viewers, for a reasonable cost: this way, Field Techs can easily obtain valuable solutions SPECIFICALLY for their individual uses, rather than having to search through your many VLOGS on your YT page; "Time is Money" and if you offer a quality product which provides badly needed quality information at a reasonable price, I do believe there are some people, including myself, who would avail ourselves of your products. I have a question for you....I have 2 cámaras beyond 200 mtrs from poe+ switch which they link but no data packages sent/received. I'm using a POe+ switch with 30w budget per port and I was.wonderinf if I could use one of those extenders by the camera when using already POe+ or do I have to change to normal POE standard and attach the extender on the other end of the Line. I don't want to have problems with the wrong setup .
Certainly, you can use the PoE extenders to double the range to 200mtrs and boost the signal strength. These extenders are compatible with PoE, PoE+, and UPOE standards, and they can provide up to 60 watts of power when used with a PoE++ switch or injector.

I have a question Sir.
I installed 5 ip cameras in a factory,later on they told they want have their nvr at admin block,which almost 300 metres apart from the factory.What should i do?

One more question: since the distance between the recorder to the gate jus over 150 meter more or less. I put 4 1-port gigabit extender repeaters to connect the whole cable so as to strengthen the signal. Do you suggest that I may flip all those repeaters from the recorder to the camera but only leave one repeater to the camera? Please advise. Thanks, David
It will not work if you connect the NVR to the end of the cable because your NVR is not PoE powered device (PD). So the PoE switch or PoE injector will not send the power from another end. You should add the PoE splitter before the NVR.

Had a question about these. I currently have a reolink Nvr. I currently have one port running to a tp link Poe switch which has its own power supply. Plugged into that is 3 cameras. The reolink assigns the 3 cameras there own ip address. Can I use the extender to make longer run to my switch and still run my 3 cameras off the Poe switch just farther away? Thanks for the videos.
I guess it is the PoE NVR right? You attached a PoE switch to one of the PoE ports. Those three cameras obtain the IP address for reolink NVR. You will need another PoE extender to repeat the network (not power). www.fastcabling.com/product/poe-extender/
@@Fastcabling yes, it is a Poe nvr. And yes I attached Poe switch to one of Poe ports on nvr. the 3 cameras obtain ip for nvr. I guess my question is will nvr power the extenders or do I need a injector? And then will injector work with my Poe switch at end that cameras plug into? Thanks for your help.
Hi, I would like to know can the Hikvision Switch power a Ubiquiti Nanostation M2 antenna?

My devices are about 300m apart, can I just used the long range switch without the long range extender for connectivity?
The extender must be included to extend the range over 300 meters.

Less than 250m. However, the network speed will be compromised.
@@Fastcabling speed is not my priority concern as long as signal connectivity is there. Because I am unable to add an extender in between cables since they are concealed within reach.
you can install the PoE extender near the end device and use a short patch cord to connect them
