How do you dispose of “pregnant” batteries? You could be seriously injured one day. Be careful. Batteries like that should be in a fireproof sleeve. Sand works too. Don’t handle it roughly. Also you should film in Landscape mode when you do long videos. It looks better on TVs and computers. You can crop in for the shorts.

It happens because as the battery ages and the chemical reaction that generates power can't complete fully, or if the separation between the cells in the battery somehow leaks. If you keep charging and discharging such a battery, the gas will increase, and eventually it will explode when the pressure cannot be contained.

I got my battery replaced this past March. Phone will last me another year or so from now. I like the iPhone 14 Pro but not enough to justify upgrading from a phone I put $50 into not even a year ago.
