I haven't had a display case before, but I've been collecting anime figures and they've been getting crowded. This seems like a perfect fit for me, and hopefully, I don't have to wait too long. The alternative I was looking into was IKEA's MALSJO, but the aesthetic was a bit too "old/traditional" for me and the borders were wide. The price isn't also too bad in comparison to MALSJO, although I think shipping + customs to East Coast Canada will probably raise the price. Also, I have to ask, what's that box you've got that's sitting on top of the MONO? I was thinking of getting something similar since I need to hide my figure boxes somewhere.

If you live on the east coast I'm pretty sure the shipping will be crazy. Just to estimate the shipping for this I added the sixth165 to my cart which is about the same measurements and weight as the mono and it was $92.03 to ship to New York
This shouldn’t be the case for these. These will ship to you from the US, not from Singapore like the other cases. I’m not sure logistically how it works but I was told the price will not be that high. If I get any more specifics I will let you know!
I love the idea of the MONO, but they really fumbled with the unflattering (flat) frontal light. They could've come up with a way to make the shelves height-adjustable while retaining diffused overhead lighting. The other thing is the shipping/delivery. Yes, they advertise a much shorter lead time, but it's not very clear what the real time is. From the look of their description, they will only ship that particular batch once all 200 units have been sold, which could take that full 2-week window or longer. From there you have the 8+ weeks to arrive in the West Coast; and finally to the consumer. 3+ months is certainly better than 12-24+ months like the regular Moducases, but I would've hoped for a much better and shorter lead time. If the case had better lighting, I could stand to wait; but even in the background of your video you can see how flat it is compared to your full-sized Moducases.
Fair points! Hopefully the process will improve with time in regard to the shipping. I should be getting the final product parts here shortly and will be doing an updated review of the final version that’s for sale. The dimmer will help make the lights look better. I’m sure people will find a way to do horizontal lighting in these if they want. That comes down to preference.
