@@chiquita683No, backpacks are bad for neck and shoulders unless you're using a waist strap, but only hiking backpacks have those. Plus they make your back sweaty in warm weather, ugh. The point of messenger bags and modern briefcases is that they should be lightweight, so no they should have no effect on your back.

That’s me at 8:59 minutes. I did not post that picture to ask for colour advise. I posted that picture on the forum to ask if the denim jacket is ok on me😬
Honestly scheduling a lot of things is a game changer -- watering plants, washing towels, swapping bedsheets, replacing your Brita filter. Massive life upgrade when I just started putting everything into my GCal as a recurring event.
It's true briefcases look more sofisticated and aesthetic but the bagpack gives more confort, so if you asked me what I would choose, definitely,I would choose confort over style.
On wallets, a certified RFID wallet is recommended to protect your cards from getting scanned. Mine is made out of buffalo hide and is near indestructible; as well as looking great!
Ashley, some people think that if you're on the shorter side (I'm 5'7"), a large contrast of tone between your shirt and pants can make you look even more short. They say go with a more subtle change of tone, so it won't break you up in the middle. What do you think?
My colleague-a new hire-has a leather backpack, and not only did I appreciate it, but a fellow female colleague complimented him on it. I'm sure you'll do just fine with it.
Hello. I'm Todd from Prince Edward Island, Canada. I am new to your videos, but have, very quickly, become a fan. I think your videos are inciteful, and your presentation is wonderfully enjoyable and .... "to-the-point". I thought this one was particularly good. My Grandfather once told me (after some questionable style choices in the 80's) "Styles change. Style doesn't" (He was "very" British). I get the impression you are of the same mind. Thank you for your content - Todd
Ok I need your help! Me wife & I are going to Italy for 12 days and we’re leaving in 3 weeks. 4 different cities, 4 different hotels. What type of baggage should I bring???
I just can't get behind the no-socks look. To me, it is no different from wearing sandals, which you've repeatedly railed against. I get that you're more covered up than when wearing sandals, but it still feels like you chose not to get fully dressed. Plus, I don't want any of my skin-even if just the periphery of my ankles-rubbing against my leather shoes. I hate wearing socks and shoes because I live in a warm climate (where women have a monopoly over indoor thermostats), but wearing shoes with no-show socks isn't a viable alternative for me. And I get the reasoning behind thinking backpacks have no place in the office, but I just don't agree with it. Just because students use backpacks doesn't mean nobody else should be allowed to use them. Why should a shoulder bag be considered anymore stylish than a similarly styled backpack? A backpack is far more functional and ergonomic. I get that women often like to wear un-functional things like heels because they prioritize form over function, but most men would rather prioritize function over form, and a respectably designed backpack shouldn't be considered a style faux pas simply by nature of it being a backpack. Then again, I also think Velcro should be acceptable on adult shoes, so maybe I'm just a lunatic who should be locked away. I agree that rolling up shirt sleeves looks good, but it's such a hassle. Is there something that specifically makes it look better than just wearing short sleeves? Perhaps psychologically it looks more revealing-like you're seeing something you're not normally supposed to be seeing?
not feeling the ankle thing. That's just me. I've seen it done well but it's not my style, my peers don't dress that way either so it kinda looks weird.
Showing the ankles is not stylish at all, it's weird. And sadly, some people do fail at rolling up their sleeves correctly. I firm know why because it's simple, but some get it wrong.
Nooooo ankles!!!! So disgusting! If you’re not wearing shorts, or sitting and your ankles are showing, I’ll lose all respect for you. (I am a random internet dude though)
Pay absolutely no attention lads. Dress for yourself, not other people. I mean, look at what she's wearing! Would you really take fashion advice from her?
I was rewatching Black Panther yesterday and thought about you and Chadwick. (she was his personal stylist for those who don't know) Thank you for your style tips Ashley, I know you do this because you love it and just want men to dress better. Don't mind the criticism in some videos, it's just a bunch of crybabies.
Mss Ashley, the exposed ankles does not look good at men's fashion, in any situation, nowhere, never. Long pants-regular socks Short pants and sneakers-low socks. Long pants, no show socks and those silly loafers, moccasins, boat shoes - NO NO NO
I'm so glad I discovered your UA-cam channel. You give precise information and it is much appreciated. The only thing I would disagree with is your use of the guy with the cigarette in one of your examples at 10:12. I really think it detracts from the outfit.
Hi good day Ms Weston...a warm greetings to you from Philippines. I've been watching your channel for a quite some time now. Ms Weston...could you please give us some tips of do's and don't of what clothes and shoes should be wearing for a fiftysomething . Especially for a tropical country like us. Thank you for your kind consideration.
Noooooo not the backpack!!
The backpack can elevate your style. You should be using coach with a coat compelling color of the backpack

The ankle showing thing is just awful imo. I’m a tall guy and it just reminds me of all the horrible-fitting pants I’ve worn before.

Scheduling routine haircuts is such a game changer! Makes it so you’re always ready for impromptu events and just look good on the regular.

Really love it that you mentioned D&D night! :) Love your channel and your tips! Thank you! ❤
Just like Vanna with the wallet!
Ashley you are so right,it so much looks better with laces tucked then untucked. You are such a lifesaver.❤️💯
You are amazing 👍🏻🔥❤️ thanks for making this video ❤️

What do you think?
Wait a minute. Didn’t Ashley tell me to get an Ezri backpack last year, which I did and I love. Now I can’t use it?
😆
Dark, light, dark, I like that.
I’ve been tucking laces since middle school! It’s wayy cleaner with a fresh pair of kicks 🔥
Ashley best
Whoa. You style Kevin Hart!!! He always looks put together ❤

I just bought a leather backpack for edc workday. Ayayay 😓

amazing amount of info here. I've quickly learned that my style game is mehhhh at the most hahaha. thank you
Thank you! I'm over 50, so no ankles unless I'm in shorts or workout clothes. I shave my head, any hat tips?
Trilby, every time.
Do you have any video for styles short men can use to look nice... Casual outfits
Definitely a no go on the minkles.
Please add time stamps to your videos 🙏
I disagree about the backpack. I have a really nice Tumi and it looks perfect in any instance
Love the style advice that you give Ashley. :)
I work construction, do you have any suggestions for a better carry than a backpack for that field?
Stick with a backpack. Way more functional.

You're a nerd that still wears backpacks.
Rolled up sleeves hugging the forearm will always look better than big floppy short sleeves on a button-up.
@@alirobles7180 Well, of course. But short sleeves don't _have_ to be big and floppy.
@@MayTheSchwartzBeWithYou true, there are some fitted short sleeve button-up shirts, but by and large most have big floppy sleeves.
100%. Somehow men's ankles are hot but the feet aren't. Uh no. Low cut socks, sure but too much of female fashion seems to be creeping into mens
somebody know where can I get that beautiful leather satchel (3:23)
I love men with long hair
A backpack is way more functional but to each their own
So near 500k 👍
You're awesome! :)
That is nice sweater ashley..... 😍
Oh God, not the backpack 🙄!!!!
Ashley Weston is the best.
not feeling the ankle thing. That's just me. I've seen it done well but it's not my style, my peers don't dress that way either so it kinda looks weird.
It's probably big in certain communities but it's odd here because she does a lot of videos on what women like
If she saw a cowboy boot and hat in felt or straw she’ll definitely dislike it
❤️
Just buy elastic shoe laces and replace them in all your sneakers
Does showing ankle work for guys who dont have slim legs?
No
I ride a motorcycle so a backpack is necessary
What brand is the watch at 5:56? Thanks!
Looking at the watch, it seems to read Kapten & Son!
spend more time on that last point matching colors
So what you’re saying is that college students should stick with the backpack
It's exhausting trying to keep up with these UA-cam stylists
What the hell is dnd?
No menu/timestamps no watch...
'Minkle' as you call it is extremely cringy and is as sightly as a booger hanging out of someone's nose.

I traded my Green Hornet Lunchbox for a Spider-Man backpack and people loved it.
The hate toward backpacks annoys me. I'm vision impaired. I always have a cane in one hand. I don't want to carry something in tbe other hand.
