Totally with you on this Chris, what a great set up! You can't beat the ability to crop, there is/are(?) no two ways about it! I am sure you are spot on about the dreamy quality to the sensor, that is probably as important as anything else really! 👍👍👍
@@willbo2000 - it’s been 4 months or so using just one system and no regrets so far - other than financial 🙄 The results are exceptional for all the obvious reasons but the bottom line is I believe it has improved my work and I definitely am enjoying myself - how’s that for a justification 😂
very helpful and admirable photo examples. I am a slightly frustrated XT-5 XF150-600mm user but now convinced I should upgrade my GFX50sii for the GFX100ii and GF500mm. Thanks for a honest presentation of the facts.
@@markcutting9313 - Very good to get your thoughts Mark 😊 - you know what medium format can do with your 50sii so what you suggest makes sense to me - after more use can confirm the GF500 with a 100mp sensor is a joy to use 👍
Yes and as your accurately say, there is a dreamy quality to these medium formats. Before it was too slow for most wildlife but now, while a little slower than Nikons etc, the quality of image more than compensates for that. Plus 10 yrs ago we were all taking photos with slower AF and poor or no tracking! Living your work too!
I got the GF 500mm too, and I had no idea it's possible to use the 1.4x converter. How do you like that combo? Hearing you mention it has me curious whether I could get my hands on one and give it a try!
It's very easy to use and would recommend ! obviously you lose some light gathering but generally not a problem and how much does a faster 550 equiv lens cost ! There is very little, if any loss of image quality and is a great emergency long lens on the 100-200 if I'm travelling light !
Amazing shots! Subscribed!
@@jameswandiba7929 Thanks very much for saying James 😊👍
... Just to add, enjoyed the chat and the shots are excellent 👏
@@willbo2000 - lovely feedback Will and especially this time, much appreciated 🙏

I love my GFX 100 ii - I have the 30mm tilt shift for landscape work, it’s an amazing combination - you should try it.
@@jdh_images - Ha Ha. I would get one tomorrow , unfortunately a few money constraints at the moment.
Good to hear it’s good 😊 👍
Glad you're enjoying it Chris, you have yet to try the Leica😂😂
I think I'm fairly safe there Andy, if only from my bank account !
Some very nice gear and shots Chris

@@FarmerTorque Sounds great! I'm sold, I'll save up for it and look forward to take it with me. Thanks for the swift reply! :)
A cup of coffee sitting next to a $10k system gives me jitters 😨
What film simulation are you using as a base?
It varies - A mix of Reala Ace, Astia soft and velvia as a base start off point
