what is scary about parking next to the road is DUI drivers. They can hit your vehicle and then push your vehicle into the river and hope no one is inside that vehicle. Like I said San Francisco Bay Area is fish heaven so many places to fish. I used to fish on the San Joaquin Riverside on Sherman Island Levee Rd before you passed Eddo's harbor (west side). can you still fish on the roadside thereafter they laid out all those rocks/boulders on the levee?
Yes, we agree with you completely about parking really close to the road to fish. It is very very unsafe! Not only the oncoming and going traffic can run into our park cars but they can run right into us “ anglers that are fishing off the banks into the water! “ Also this is the reason why we have not been back to fish @ the delta whiskey slough areas because a few years ago when they haven’t clean up around along the Delta just yet, we used to see so many crossed/memorial crosses & flowers along the levee. It was very scary & very very unsafe to fish along the levees.
