Such a difference between now and the first videos that came out post Ian, still a long way to go though. Hopefully building regulations will be updated to reflect the damage caused. I notice that a lot of buildings have sidings on so possibly get rid of them and go for skimmed and painted block work and no more building with wood....
Very sad, however ,that’s why I would never live this close to any beach or water… of course no place is 100% safe.. hoping things can be taken care of so,that another storm like this will not do so much horrible damage.. 🙏👍🇺🇸
New buildings will comply to new codes to withstand strong winds. I had broken windows from hurricane Ian, and the county only allow hurricane-impact windows for new installations.
