No one sings this great old hymn better than the wonderful Connie Smith. She is one of the greatest natural vocalists I have ever heard. I can listen to her sing for hours !

It wasn’t appropriate at the time to ask details about the singer or the album and I have been searching for both ever since. I am beyond thrilled to have finally found it and learned her name. Yes indeed, I think Connie's version even beats the King's version, and that's saying something.
How many of you realize there are 4 versus to this song she does a beautiful job but she only sings the 1st and 4th versuses of the song.
