🐴☃️🐶 Walking about with YOU on your property, looking over the horses, see what’s happening on a given day….. and listening to your thoughts as you go about is always a favorite of mine. It is a pleasure to be part of your audience/ viewers. 💛ZEUS ~ being energetic coming into the snow on this day.
Hi again from Finland. 🙂It's "only" -21 Celcius today. Visited some Finnhorses today, they seemed to be OK with the cold, they were like wooly mammoths also. Looking beautiful there. 😊
Beautiful video ❤️ it's 20 degrees here in Michigan today, but no snow. Wind isn't high, so not too bad. It's nice to see Zeus so frisky. Remembering when he wasn't feeling to good earlier this year. Glad to see his puppy self 🥰 What a awesome dog 🤗
Love your horses, & beautiful land. Same weather in WI, USA. Nice set up for the horses. Wonderful to go for a walk about with you! Hobby farm here, with Icelandic horses, cats, dogs, chickens & ducks. Love your methods.
Thank you very much for this walk in your beautiful scenery, it's like magic, all that snow fallen in one night 🌨️❄️🐕🐕🐕 Zeus is in great shape, it's a joy to see him! The horses'fur is really thick to protect them. I still don't understand why people cut manes (for esthetic reasons) and shave horses. Then, they sweat, steam, while working and they have to put a blanket on to avoid getting cold .. Little Miss is almost of the same color as her environment! Yes, watch out for those branches.. The little tracks from visitors on the snow are cute! They were mix, a dog most probably, and deer as we could see..
Yes, Zeus has recovered well from a month ago. Trying to keep him moving as much as he can and the snow is a great motivator for him ☺️ the girls practicing to compete for possible events are just following what their teachers are doing and teaching. It's an old old old culture that just won't die off due to vanity I think. Less people than ever are doing it though and more people are getting educated to what it is these cultures demand of their followers. Harsh bits, twitches, spurs and whips along with all the horse health and husbandry issues. Slowly but surely it is changing and it won't go back.
@@StableHorseTraining yes, I was pleased to see Zeus playing the other day too, as he was ok 👍 Absolutely, these practices are mostly held in competition indeed, from old traditions. Surely mentality is changing, even here, particularly among young riders, but very far from the US/Canada, because of the old European culture in equitation (English style, German, French, Spanish school etc).
I really enjoy your morning horsey checks but this one is a bonus with a walk in your ‘winter wonderland’, your property looks beautiful in the snow. I think in an earlier video you said Zeus was 15? he’s defying his age & having a second puppyhood racing around in the snow, it reminded me of my dogs (long gone to Rainbow bridge) being silly when it snowed 😀
What a great snow walk at the back amazing in all the white the green ferns🪴 just stand out lol no green in Alberta till May? 😅. Interesting to learn how the horses can look so wet in the snow, rain yet be dry under the fluff. I love when their noses come right up to the camera 😁 just want to reach out and pet them
It's funny, I feel terrible anytime our horses seem the least bit inconvenienced and then I go read diaries from the revolution and see that my horses live in luxury. 😁
One thing with horses they think everything you are carrying or have on you as food. Buttons, car keys, any thing sticking out, one went and tugged on my belt one time all because the end was untucked and was dangling past the buckle.
Such a beautiful video ! I am amazed by the trees all white, what a beautiful view. Thank you so much for this little walk on the new trail, that was gorgeous 😊. I am happy to see Zeus full of life and joy ! Maybe the tracks on the forest trail are those of a fox 🦊 ?
Such a beautiful place you have, Graeme. And we've seen all the work required to keep it that way ! 😁 I got some lovely screen shots and one hilarious shot of Zeus frolicking! Re the tracks: are the coyotes any danger to the horses? I know you told us the bears are not...
Zeus can still be a puppy..in the right kind of weather!!💕💕💕 Question(s).. On a snowy day, do you ever go horseback riding? If so, do you have a certain horse you choose to ride in snowy weather??
I notice that mr wildie and the new miss wildie are of the same bread of horse? How i desern that idrea is that both have the same wide face look.? Is that so.? Are they both from a ferel bread? Somewhat like our ferel brumby horses in Australia. 🐴
oh Zues makes me giggle cause of his happiness in the snow. So adorable.....ha!
A beautiful snowy walk with my favorite horse trainer--delightful! Snow makes everything extra magical. 🌨❄☃
Thank you very much ☺️

10 F degrees and about 8 inches on the eastern end of the U.P. today. It's going to be a long winter.

Horses are just non stop funniness I think
Happy dancing Zeus, love it !

Very pretty and Zeus seems to be enjoying the snow 🤗
Love to see Zeus playing in the snow.
We had almost 70 degrees F yesterday. :) Colder today though.
Zeus is having so much fun! So cute🥰

Thanks! I've never seen any foxes around here, doesn't mean there aren't though.
The bc Wilde horses seem like they have cute round noses

Wow you have a lot of snow already! Beautiful though 😊

Question(s)..
On a snowy day, do you ever go horseback riding? If so, do you have a certain horse you choose to ride in snowy weather??
Can you tour the buildings/sheds for us please?
Could they benefit from 3 sides to their enclosures (as wind break)?
That's a good question. We don't get wind here much with all the trees. So far, not having sides has worked out quite well
Do yours have constant forage ? Or how much ?
Yes, 24/7

How do we
groom/brush their fur without taking off their thick winter coat? (:
