Slovak here. Sputnik V was only a small part of the reason why the government collapsed. The main problem is Matovic and his communication, which has been escalating for a long time. He had made a series of epic diplomatic failures, including calling experts names like "morons" or "blockheads" for criticising his actions. He made a presentation on live TV about how one of his ministers failed to buy antigen tests, which resulted in thousands of deaths. He also blamed the same minister for murder of a journalist two years ago due to his responsibility for government collapse 9 years ago. His Facebook account, which is the most followed of all government politicians, is full of childish invectives and very inappropriate jokes. He has seen the biggest decline in popularity among Slovak voters in a short period of time.
You forgot that he told that he exchanged Sputnik for Zakarpattia Oblast which is part of Ukraine (as a joke but still)
I was just about to write the same. His comment on promising part of western ukrain to russia for the vaccine is outright ridiculous.
I heard he wants to step down but instead of leaving politics, would want to swap positions with another minister
@@koffiya9184 Yes, that is supposed to happen. The president could refuse to appoint him, but that is not probable.
@@herressy oh wait, I just read Somewhere that it already happened ? That Matovic stepped down ? Things escalated quickly
A Slovak here. I appreciate you making a video about our small country and I really enjoyed it, however, it's not completely true. Sputnik V was not the sole reason for this coalition crisis, in fact, the purchase of this vaccine just escalated it to be one. After a few months of the 2020 parliamentary elections, we could see the first problems with Matovič's ruling. One of the parties in the coalition (Sloboda a Solidarita - Freedom and Solidarity) and their party leader, Richard Sulík, was targeted and criticised by Matovič constantly because Sulík's party didn't follow exact Matovič's orders. This constant debate between them kept on going thru the whole year, but nothing really happened.
When there were the first talks of buying the Sputnik V vaccine, another coalition party, Za ľudí (For the people) openly stated that it will not support the government's decision to purchase the EMA-unregistered vaccine, however, Freedom and Solidarity did support the govt. Eventually, the government didn't support Matovič's proposal of buying the vaccine, but he did it anyway, and no other Slovak official knew about this purchase, except like the Health Minister (who was in Matovič's party). After that purchase, For the People criticised the purchase and Matovič, which began yet another debate. That whole debate eventually became about Matovič himself and if he was to stay as the PM or not. Then Freedom and Solidarity jumped in and stated that they would leave the coalition if the Health Minister and the PM didn't resign. The Health did eventually resign, Freedom and Solidarity were fine with just the Health Minister resigning, but how Matovič portraited his resignation upset Sulík and his party, so they once again stated that they would leave if Matovič didn't resign. During this 5-week coalition crisis, 6 ministers in total resigned (1 was the HM, 1 resigned for basically unknown reasons, 1 bcs of Matovič's way of leading the country and 3 bcs they were all from Freedom and Solidarity). Ultimatums were declared here and there, basically, it was just a total mess. So we can see that, yes, Sputnik V did indeed spark the coalition crisis, but it wasn't about Sputnik at all, it was about Matovič and his way of ruling.
Also, I know that you made this video before the crisis finally settled down, but I thought it would fine to mention it. The crisis is over, and nothing's pretty much changed. The PM and the Minister of Finance will switch places, and there will be a new Health Minister (and probably the Minister of Labour but we don't really know yet). All of the other Ministers that resigned will return.
As I said tho, nice video!
I'm Swedish and know nothing about Slovakian politics. But I think it was clearly comunicated that there are more problems in Slovak politics than just the vaccine.
So do you think things will be ok now? Or is there a deeper more fundamental problem with the system?
I’m from Vietnam and we do hard lockdowns from the start so its ok here, wish you guys all the best
@@HungTran-gz5em very unlikely ...
@@HungTran-gz5em Well, according to the numbers, the situation about covid is calming down, but people are still unresponsible (walking outside without face masks or anything, going to crowded places and stuff like that) and the situation is indeed critical. That whole mess with the government didn't help anyone, and it seems that the covid situation was practically ignored for those 5 weeks. Even tho we have restrictions during the Easter holidays, I'm afraid people will just ignore those like they started ignoring them, since like Christmas holidays. But if you're asking about the government, well, the new PM is apparently known for being cooperative, and a guy who doesn't start any debates. However, since Sulík and Matovič will be still in the same government, it's probably likely that Matovič will criticize him for smth and his party, seeing as that's his personality. I also have to mention that the new pm is from the same party as Matovič (as I said before), and Matovič is the leader of that party, so that could somehow start something yet again, but idk.
Also thanks and hope you are all doing well in Vietnam!
@@TheSimon253 Yes, like the problem was mainly with the personality of these officials and just their stubbornness. Also, having a 2 conservative, 2 liberal (liberal as like, the european meaning, so basically libertarians) wasn't exactly the brightest idea.

Lol, well thanks TLDR for sharing outdated information 🙌
Well these take ages to make and I didn't even know this was happening.
Far from resolved, he simply offered to swap seats with his finance minister.
@@thelightsilent Ãstrazeneca isn't banned EU wide and hasn't been for a while. In fact most countries banned it temporarily themselves and the EU only only urged memberstates to withold usage ( no repercussions to continue using it ) Currently, most countries that did stop using it restarted ( not even half of the EU stopped using it, it seems ) As issues weren't replicatable at first the advice of withholding usage was lifted. Later Denmark uncovered the reason of the issue probably has to do with a rare blood-decease/mutation and can be treated safely now that they are aware of it. ( prior treatment was wrong and could have contributed to some of the resulting deaths ) I believe the number of deaths contributed to the body attacking platelets can be counted on 2 hands so it was quite an overreaction.
Ãstrazeneca is also not only produced in the EU but outside it as well under a different name and Ãstrazeneca has been under-delevering shipments and is pretty much under investigation for corruption. ( even in the UK )
@@thelightsilent when did the EU ban AZ? Only SOME member states (!) paused to vaccinate AZ until all controversies about AZ (dead people after vaccination) are analysed. The EU even said weeks ago that AZ is safe to use. Furthermore the UK isn’t benefiting from leaving the EU because they could do the same thing as a EU member like Hungary. They ordered separatedly as well but all other EU members wanted a fair share of vaccines in Europe. That’s why they gave the permission to the EU. Because they knew unity is better than separation

5:23 The Minister of labour and social affairs stepped down due to a corruption and nepotism scandal involving his brother-in-law, the head of Slovak Intelligence Service, who was charged with misuse of power and bribe taking.
hoöy fuck, that sounds intense, tho I have to admit, we in germany have also corruption problems, even tho not on the govermental part
Not really. His official reason was the coalition crisis. Which doesn't make much sense because no one wanted him to step down and it didn't really help resolve the crisis. There are multiple speculations for the real reason and the SIS scandal probably did play a major role. Also, AFAIK it's not his brother-in-law although they are close.
It’s a pity that TL;DR uploaded this video now, after the coalition crisis has been basically solved with Matovic switching positions with the Finance minister Eduard Heger, also a member of the PM’s OLaNO party. Even 5 out of 6 minister that resigned look set to return to their ministerial positions! Would be great if they could adjust just a couple of things and re-upload the video!

What I think is the most striking about EU & Russia relation is that it’s citizens get along incredibly well (at least it is case in my friend circles, quite few of them are Russians), but if it’s about politics it is completely the other way round.
Well I think the main reason that Russia is Hostile to Eurooe right now is Putin himself, and well, he doesen t really represent the will of the people anymore, I think.
On another point Russia and Europe are in pretty similar situations in regards with their respective alliances. They are both the junior partners in those alliances , and the countries they are allied with try to control/influence them.
I think that when Putin steps down(he is 68 after all) we might see a reaproachment between Russia and Europe.
Honestly, how many Europeans as much as interact with regular Russians on any kind of consistent basis to form opinions? Hell, I live in Poland and despite having apparently a multitude of Ukrainians and Belarusians around (and I do often hear them in the street), I never actually interact with them. And then I go online and see people acting as if they knew them as well as the back of their hand, even if all they seem to know about them corresponds strangely to the first paragraphs of their Wikipedia entries.

As stated in the video, there were more issues.
Matovič isnt by himself a bad politician, but not a good one either. But at a time of a crisis he is terrible.
There were many choices made by his government that were questionable, such as not listening to experts and lauching a national covid testing. So public distrust towards him was growing. Add that to his , not so great diplomatic abilities and a global crisis and you have a "terrible" PM.
Then you have politicians trying to gain popularity by criticizing Matovič even though they themselves denied covid when it reached Europe (such as M. Kotleba), then other politicians who want to cash in on hate towards Matovič and viola : political crisis.
At the time im writing this the crisis took a positive (?) turn : Ministers will return to their places and Matovič will change his position with Eduard Heger who will become the new PM.
We will see how this turns out but there is definitelly more to come. Besides an economical backlash, many populists that have been mostly pushed out of powerful positions have a chance of returning now, along with many corrupt politicians.
We can only hope for the best at this point.
He’s not a bad politician but he is definitely a bad Prime Minister. His work as a member of parliament was important, acting as a watchdog against corruption, but he is not suitable to be a leader, he’s too unstable.

@@MarioAtheonio you want the former mafia to gain power again ?
@@thelightsilent Bullshit. Astrazeneca is produced by the Dutch by the company of Halix at Leiden. The reason Astrazeneca is selling European vaccines to the UK is due to corruption of the Dutch prime minister Mark Rutte and his Corona MP Hugo de Jonge, which has a brother working for Astrazeneca. UK pays more than EU, so his brother is getting richer from it. An MP that helped to fix Maltese corruption, Pieter Omtzigt, notified Rutte of the great opportunities of producing vaccines at home by Astrazeneca. Rutte simply waved away that offer and and is now forcing all EU members the fairytale we're relying on foreign powers for *our* vaccines. Janssen can also be produced here in Europe (in the same city of Leiden), but the Dutch government accepts the vaccines are getting bottled in America before being returned *while we can bottle it at home* at Eindhoven.
I really hope Europe awakens and forces Rutte to resign. He forces his European allies to comply with his corrupted governance and in this way he's the most important factor in ruining this continent at the moment. Russia is clearly using their Sputnik V vaccine to achieve geopolitical goals, but that doesn't change the fact that we urgently need vaccines in EU and the rollout has been very slow in almost every country of thr bloc. I don't know why or how, but the Commission has managed to make a mess out of the distribution plan.
Yeah, as mentioned in the video, in Hungary we had the Russian, and also actually 2 Chinese and an Indian vaccine approved and used. We had a combined 1M+ Sputnik and Sinopharm delivered and a good chunk of them already used. And Orban cannot be happier, more ammunition for him to use in his eventual Huxit bid...
Hungary gets too much out of the EU to ever seriously consider leaving it. Orban will just keep using it as a convenient punching bag while still benefiting from the largesse it provides.
@@ArawnOfAnnwn Sure, right now that is true. But with the current tendencies that is likely to change in a few years. He is clearly collecting his talking points for that potential future time when he may try it.
chinese and russian vaccines work and their a shortage of vaccines due to US UK ans others hoarding the vaccines. In my country we have Sinovac and I am happy to have it
Well, Orban seem to have made the right decision with ordering Russian and Chinese vaccines, given that Hungary is in a great spot in vaccination statistics compared to most EU members. Also, it is quite unlikely he would want to leave the EU, because Hungary benefits a lot from it. I think he even said something like he does not want to leave the EU, he just wants reforms there. With that being said, this was more than a year ago, so his stance might have changed since then.
@@GRegBellay XDDDD A Huxit will never happen dude, don't be ridiculous. The UK is the world 6th economy, so they are wealthy enough to afford a Brexit, and even for them is going to be a hard next decade, which may probably result in the end of their Union, and will without a doubt lead to UK falling from top 10. But for most of the EU members, Hungary included, leaving the EU would mean instant bankruptcy. Do you forget the effects of the USSR collapse, and the shit we got in the 90's? It would be far worse with the EU - unlike USSR who was more of a tributary institution where we sold to Russia whatever they decided for us to produce, in exchange for just enough to survive - EU is a free massive powerful market, with ties and trade deals all over the world... leaving it would mean the end of that country - I don't think how much of Hungary's GDP represents EU trade deals, funds and benefits - I don't know for sure for Hungary, but I saw a study about your neighbor, Romania. If they left the EU, half of their GDP would vanish overnight. It would be even worse for Hungary, because your were in the EU longer so you are more integrated, you are in Schengen, and lack natural resources. Plus, a lot of the effect of the fall of USSR were amortized by EU, who decided to expand in the East so they invested and absorbed those countries - is easy to see how most of the ex-Soviet countries who were not so lucky, are far behind, if they are more than a name on the map. So leaving EU would leave Hungary butt naked ... well, I guess you could become the playground for Chinese and Russia interests, but that wouldn't be fun... Orban barks at EU just like Kim Jung Un barks at the US. Is all just a image exercise, meant for internal populism and to remind other countries that he exists... But behind all that, Orban is as pro-EU as every other sane politician in Europe. You shouldn't believe most of what those populist politicians say, they are full of shit, they just create 'enemies', to paint themselves as 'saviors' and have you buy their 'protection' by voting them. But it's all theater... Just look at UK... do you really think that Farange and all the Brexiters really wanted Britain to leave EU? EU was everything for Farange - that guy has zero history in British politics, he failed building a career in there, but he won the smaller (at the time) EU MEP elections, and has been a member of the European Parliament since 1999 ... since then he won a seat in every election ... 5 in total. He basically got a comfy well paid job and solid career for 20 years, by simply being ''that guy who hates the EU and wants Britain out of it'', which should had been an impossible goal, but those who agreed with him, usually the far right, voted him. At 54yo, he could have kept going for another 20 years. It was the perfect trick, if it wasn't for Brexit XD. What happened right after Brexit? He retired as the leader of the political party he created, and later left the party - but remained a MEP. Then created the Brexit Party in 2019, just in time for the European elections, where he won again by criticizing Theresa May for Britain not leaving the EU. Now that Britain is out, and he is no longer a MEP, he retired from politics and founded a paper XD It's the same for a lot of Brexiters... just check how many senior politicians and billionaires that were pro-Brexit or funded the campaign, are now moving from UK to the EU. It was all just a political theater, that went very very wrong...
I'm sick of some West European politicians, who refuse to order Russian vaccines out of pure political interest. If Sputnik V works, and Russia is proposing doses, it should not be a partisan issue to use any means to protect one's population.
But that also counts for Russia itself. If it is real that Russian authorities block doses for their own people to gain geopolitical advantages, then I consider it only fair to avoid playing their game.
In this crisis, protection and well-being of the people have to come before any geopolitical interests, and that stands for countries on both sides.
To be honest, we need to work with Russia, they're far more threatened by China than they are by Europe, and sooner or later, they'll eventually calm down and cooperate with Europe

But even Turkey plays EU for the fools we are.
8.50 Russia has already succeeded in weakening the EU and UK by supporting Brexit so why should it not continue elsewhere.

Hi, Slovak citizen here. Purchasing Sputnik against the wishes and without the knowledge of his government partners was just the last drop in a sea of bad steps by Matovic, it was certainly not the only and main reason for the crisis. The PM reeatedly attacked and criticized his partners on facebook and on press conferences, calling Sulik an idiot in a radio programme. He was constantly dividing the country by blaming everybody in turn for the bad covid numbers, Sulik, but also health experts, the citizens etc.
After purchasing Sputnik the health minister approved it's use but placed the responsibility for any bad effects on the vaccinating doctors. Only now is the state taking the responsibility back.
Since Russia doesn't have enough vaccines to vaccinate their own population, it seems likely that they invested the 200 000 vaccine doses into Slovakia breaking away from EU on this front.
I am not aware of seeing the next shipment, the first one already did the job it was done for.
Hello from Russia! The question concerning the vaccination process in Russia is actually quite complicated. A lot of Russian people do not believe in Covid at all (that’s weird, I know), due to this disbelief they are not trying to get vaccinated. And it has nothing to do with state propaganda (During the second outbreak government urged citizens to get vaccinated, but it didn’t work). However, I cannot comment the motives for Russian distribution of Sputnik in European countries (a lot of people think that it’s due to monetary motive, but some of insiders state that it is an attempt to expand political influence).
Once again, the problem with the EU is exactly the opposite of what Leavers say it is: *not* imposing common standards on member states.
Once again, Leavers will point to this as proving their point.
Brexit happened, arguments are over - time to move on!
@@AngloSupreme The UK joined the EC, as it was then, in 1973. At what point, in your opinion, were opponents of this move required to accept that "arguments are over" and it was "time to move on"?
A lot of countries don't have vaccines, just accept the vaccines and let us bring back normal life!
Would you mind doing a video explaining how all the EU presidents are elected in the European Parliament???????????
They should have sold the Astra Zeneca to the African Union, it's much cheaper

A lot of Astra Zeneca's production comes from India, which recently had to curb exports due to a spike in cases at home.
@@ArawnOfAnnwn oh, I see
There are a lot of demands and little amounts of production and the first world countries are purchasing many more vaccine than what they really need... so they have what is left there to buy, but in this case at least, Sputnik it's better than AstraZeneca
Get the politicians out of it. Playing politics with vaccines is disgusting.
7:45 Weird world map projection. Maps normally go from 180°W to 180°E, or have the Prime Meridian along each edge, but here it's placed seemingly randomly, and some of the biggest population centres are missing.
EU does not need Russia to tear itself apart. It is already doing a job good enough, all by her own. Brexit is a proof.
I'm just ranting here, but all the Corona stuff has become so complex it's hard to comprehend all the rules and numbers of everything. When we cleared the first wave of Corona everyone was happy, when we got the first vaccines everyone was happy. But there is no goal anymore, just a tiresome grind of restrictions and vaccine production. It's like WW1, at first we have a little victory and a lot of spirit, but after a year of struggle, the burnout is real.
Also, I work in a supermarket, and in Denmark the regulation has gone from national to local, which means it's impossible to keep myself updated on what I as a worker must do to fight a rise in Corona cases.
The grind is real
Some quick facts from a slovak.
1. Matovič is not the most distrusted politician, he is the politician who is seen as the most incompetent. The most distrusted would be either Robert Fico(last elected prime minister who resigned over aligations of connection to a payed murder of a journalist). Or perhaps politician named Marian Kotleba, who is seen as an actual neo nazi. Not like the american kind where you make a bad joke or say something remotely patriotic and you are branded a white supremesist. This guy is for real walking around in Hlinka guard uniform, which during WW2 was like the slovak version of the SS.
2. The politican crisis did not start with sputnik coming here. It was brewing for the whole year, as bad decisions and endless lockdowns made people hate Matovič. It was almost like he had no plan and was just winging it. If the only mistake was buying sputnik, i dont think ministers would quit on him for that.
3. Many people are actualy ready to get vaxxed with sputnik. Because while many people dont like russia, they also know that russians are not stupid and can make stuff that works. And besides if sputnik didnt work or if it was dangerous, dont you think that EU members would announce that in their media day and night to shame russia?
The Czech Republic wont be using Sputnik, Minister of health, our Drug regulator said that we won´t be using it till it is approved by EMA. Also our prime minister Babiš just suggested it(he does that a lot, speaking about things he has no knowledge about and no control over). I hope that the situation in Slovakia will get better soon.
its funny how quickly the situation changes, since the start of the pandemic we are now on our 4th health minister and he is in favour of suing Spitnik V...this won´t end well...
Please, "U" in "Sputnik" is like in "Zulu"
Trusting Putin’s Russia is not a great idea.
FU
I wonder why so many people think that it's ok to be partners with authoritarian regime which caused instability all around it's borders (Moldova/Transnistria, Georgia/Abkhazia+S.Ossetia, supplying arms to both Arm & Aze, etc.), murdering opposition and annexing territories from sovereign state (and creating client states).
And some people even sympathetic towards Putin's Russia...
I say “Putin’s Russia” because the Russian people are like people anywhere: basically good.
@@Parhelion-XIII Don't try to separate Russians from our president. If you have problems with Putin then you have problems with at least 76% of Russians who voted for him (including myself).
trusting von der Leyen is an even worse one.
Also here in Italy Vincenzo De Luca, governor of Campania region (that with Naples), announced that the region bought several Sputnik doses without consulting the central government. It’s very interesting (and disturbing) how Russian propaganda can sneak through populations of other countries, often by memes and fake news shared by less educated people
And I thought my government was in chaos
Sir, thank you for this video
Man the EU is really getting tested by COVID right now. Never have I seen the union less put together and less unified. Doesn't help that Brexit was right in the middle of the pandemic either.
The links between eachother never were strong to begin with. You're more likely to hear someone say: "I'm Italian." rather than "I'm European". And I'm not saying a multinational Union cant become a thing. Throughout History we've had many examples such as the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Yugoslavia, etc. The EU cant act like a federal Government if people dont want it to.
It is called Hegemony, Britain used to practise this a lot before the EEC which turned into the EU. It ensured that no power in Europe could destroy the UK. Everyone thinks that we have friends holding hands singing kumbaya and it is each others job to protect each other. The one thing I have notice in the pandemic, it did not take long before false statements and self interest burst out all over the Europe as soon as political pressure mounted in their own country.
You mention that countries "illegaly circumvent" the joint procurement programm. This is incorrect. Countries were alwalys allowed to order vaccines outside of the programm, as long as the very vaccine was not part of the joint procurement programm. Thus the Sputnik V orders of Slovakia and Hungary were not illegal.
The US and China are also playing Geopolitics with the vaccine so it would make sense Russia is too.
The UK is too. Germany and France wouldve joined the club if they actually got their own ones done.
Hungarian here: al things in the Slovak flag and anthem is stolen from other countrys
Yeah,no anthem is from a folk song that was sang in slovak, colors of the flag are similar to other slavic nations, thats not stealing, and coat of arms depicts 3 mountains 2 of which are in slovakia so slovakia has better claim for that symbol than anyone else. But nice try.
hi, have you hear about the new scandal in the netherlands?, maybe its something for a video
Sputnik V?
I thought it was Sputnik 5
Nope it's actually V like the letter
V as letter, because it is a Viral-Vector vaccine.
Great video!
Seems like you weren't sure how to pronounce Matovič name, so you just decided to say it in every way possible

@@giovannigiorgio6406 I guess it is - "sick" of hearing about vaccines political drama....
It is Bret Schäfers job to denigrate and undermine anything that Russia does, so take his opinion with a grain of salt.
Russia is playing her game, obviously. However, on the other hand - this game benefits citizens of Slovakia and Hungary. This play, even though intentions are probably not so honest, is much better than British play with stopping vaccines coming to the EU and thus trying to prove that brexit was a good idea while hurting Continental societies. Thus, in this specific manner only, I prefer 'the killer' Putin over 'the clown' Boris Johnson.
I vote for more puns from politicians! The worse the better!
It’s Spootnik not Spatnik 😑
its Slovaks own business to buy Sputnik or not. No-one forces them.
As the UK demonstrated though, going your own way and not relying on the EU was the best move, in this one PARTICULAR case.
Luckily you left the EU and hopefully, you'll never come back! Cheers!
Sputnik V was just last straw... our (thang god) former prime minister did what he was not supposed to do without consent of coalition partners and paid the political price.
Britain proved that going it alone with vaccine procurement is the way forward. Germany bought doses for itself and nobody says anything, I guess it's easier to reprimand a smaller country.
Feels a bit disingenuous to bunch that Slovak story together with the childish propaganda wars around sputnik.
Who cares where it’s made, if it works it works.
Russia’s silent war.

To me the biggest issue is that their is very little public data on the development of the Sputnik vaccine and how phase the one, two and three trials were conducted. As Ursula von der Leyen notes - why are they not vaccinating their own population?
comming soon: How Russia´s vaccine tore apart Czech goverment...
Czechia hasn't approved it.
The comments of the Slovaks here make me think like the creators of the video are trying to pigeon-hole the issue of the government instability in Slovakia as being directly linked and provoked by procurement of Russian vaccines and in reality it doesn't really seem to be the most important issue that caused the instability.
What makes more clicks?
A: "Slovakia has a shaky government."
B: "Slovakia and the EU as a whole are divided by Russia."
The government was already in a crisis before the vaccine
When in doubt blame it on the Russians.
If politicians don't do their job or are dishonest they should always be shown the door.
In that case, why even bother with a door ? You lose so much time opening and closing it.

I am (once again) irritated that you refer to the joint vaccine by Pfizer & BioNTech as simply the "Pfizer vaccine". As far as I know, or rather as I understood it, that vaccine was being developed by BioNTech, and for global distribution, and also larger production, they teamed up with Pfizer. So to my understanding, it is (if you only state one company) a BioNTech vaccine.
You are right.
Oh, very American I fear: Johnson Johnson vaccine which was developed in Netherlands but the Americans are selling the whole world as their own vaccine. And the whole world, especially the Brits mimicked them.
Although with Biontech the case is even worse. Biontech didn't just develop, it is producing. And from April on the Marburg plant of Biontech will deliver the most doses on Europe. But no, it's just Pfizer. You will never hear in the American media that Pfizer's vaccine was developed not in the US. They don't want to know.
I hope you make a video about the Bulgarian parliamentary election.
Thirld world citizen here. Why does the EU and the US act suprised of the distrust of poor countries in this process, Russia has struck a deal on vaccines with my country (Argentina) and there's almost no other provider other than the chinese and a small amount of AstraZeneca from the UK. I understand the EUs need to vaccinate their own people, but hoarding vaccines will only hurt their image to developing countries, that is assuming that they care about that.
To all three questions; yes.
He's indecisive (with all the back-and-forth decisions) and greedy (with all his conditions for resigning. And that characteristic will hurt his country if he stays as pm. He better resign asap.
Stupid politicians playing politics with people's lives
Frankly, when the EMA approves Sputnik and the commission starts the procurement divide and conquer will stop. But the institutions need to act fast.
they would had they got proper papers about what Sputnik V actually is. Since Russia isnt willing to part with 80% of vaccine information, EMA doesnt want to approve befoe they know what does it contain, how it is stored, how was it tested and with what outcomes etc.
genuine question from a non-parliamentary democracy. while aware that it probably a bit different in each county, generally speaking, why have a president and a prime minister? what what do the presidents even do?
Russia is always at war, whether in peace or war. Every aspect of what they do should be seen in a geopolitical and military mindset.
Russia always seeks peace.
There are simple explanation: Russian regime "inherited" perception that EU and NATO are actively trying to destroy Russia (despite being a defensive alliance, but who cares?) and thus should be attacked as enemies in all possible way. Russian outreach in Europe and US is a bit terrifying (russophiles in european countries who believe that attacking neighbors and annexing some territories is fine and sanctions for that should be lifted, Trump with glorifying Puting and wanting to "get along with Russia", whatever it means, etc.). Russian propaganda can make Goebbels jealous...

Russia is making little progress in its own vaccination efforts, but it's exporting huge volumes of its Sputnik-V vaccine abroad. That's about all one needs to know about the situation.
Trust the Baltic republics who know the Russians deep down as they were part of the USSR. Trust us Poles who suffered with Russians for centuries and know Russia better than our friendly neighbours from other Visegrad coutries. Have you noticed that byelorussian president-elect S. Tikhanouskaya ran away to EU (Lithuania) and not to Russia? And asks EU for support and no attempts to get support from Russia. Seems like she realizes that there are no free democratic future with Putin's Russia.
