I used to work at a Ashley Furniture store here in Nor CA for about 4 years. This happened all the time! It would take MONTHS for some customers to get their furniture. Our managers would just tell customers excuse after excuse when they called in to check status. The Ashley I worked at was owned by a man who owned 4 other Ashley's throughout the Bay Area and they all had the same problems. I would never purchase Ashley Furniture due to the quality and customer service.

but why though??
@@airplayrulethat’s I want to know .
Wow I never had issues with the Concord store but that was back in 2013… I ordered furniture in 2014 and 2019 in Houston no issues but then again in 2022 it was a nightmare.
Has it always in like this ?
File complaint with your state Attorney General, not with Business Bureau. Do not delay.
Well, you’re half right. Definitely file a complaint with your State’s Attorney General‼️ Then DEFINITELY file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau❗️WHY❓
Because they will IMMEDIATELY send an email demanding a resolution to the problem. Businesses that have an “A” rating want to keep it because it brings in new customers. On the other hand, if the business already has a “D” or “F” rating they obviously don’t care.
I strongly recommend that customers check out a company on the BBB website BEFORE shopping‼️‼️It will save you a-lot frustration in the long run.
It's just sad that huge companies don't have respect for the customers they sell products to.
Ashley furniture, is overpriced low quality garage. It is like shopping at a car dealership, they never let you look at the furniture and bug you the whole time.
I agree on everything aside from being haunted by sales reps.
The 2 stores I went to a few times just to pass time, were like ghost towns,
No one seemed too anxious or interested in making a sale.. in fact they seemed like they were intentionally avoiding interacting with any customers..
It looked exactly as you described when I visited one near me in 2000. Never went back in....since 2000
Facts! I’m like when did buying furniture start being like buying a car. How about let me look and if I need anything I will come and get you. It’s definitely a turn off.
Unbelievably the low quality of Ashley furniture compared to 2006. I purchased a bedroom suite in 2019 based off my experience with them in 2006. They lied and said the furniture was manufactured in the US, try Vietnam. They mixed real wood with veneer. Will never purchase from them again.
Ashley: "Your furniture is in the mail!"
"...no, really, we emailed your couch to you months ago!"
These comments deserve awards
I swear these furniture stores that never have any customers are just fronts for money laundering
I’ve been saying this about mattress stores 😮
I bought some black friday sales from Ashley. They said it would take 4 months and couldn't tell me if or when they could do it exactly. I called and asked and the lady was super rude. A week later I call back to check and learn the lady cancelled the order. They couldn't resell the item since the sale ended. I could get it that day they said, but for double the price. They gave me a refund a month later after multiple calls. Never again!
The Suez Canal part took me out 😂
Yeah, considering their furniture is made in the US...
@@jilbertb Even if it's made in China, Chinese goods destined to the U.S. ALWAYS come to the West Coast ports because of China's geographic location. It's NEVER through Suez Canal to the U.S.
😂 That was a good one for sure.
@@same5952most of their furniture is Made in Vietnam, only their higher end products are still made in USA.
Nonetheless, still would never require Suez Canal to move products.
The furniture market as a whole is shady as hell.
You think ? I see furniture stores all the time saying BIG SALE ! or Going out of business ! going on for years or temporarily then reopening up months later or down the street. Furniture is mostly crap these days, I bye MCM (Mid-Century Modern), and quality antique Furniture, and it Genraly superior craftsmanship and durability, and to me, it looks better than the Furniture designs today.
@@ericswain4177 I worked many years ago in a place that offered both new and consignment. I would steer people to the better consignment items. Much higher quality at a much lower price, plus no wait.
@ericswain4177
Is mid century modern, the name of the furniture store? Where can I buy?
@ There are a number of stores in the south San Francisco Bay Area California area called Scandinavian Designs Furniture you can find on google maps or Danish Concepts International in Mountain View Cal in the South Bay is my Fav. There are Great finds at the antique Malls in Santa Clara as well.
I got my cocktail table after 2 months. Took over 7 more months to get my matching end tables! Never again.
Wow!
they took 3 months to deliver part of a glass dining table, just the base, so they took it back, 2 months later they delivered the top, but not the base that they had taken back. Took another 6 weeks for a refund.
They must have been making the furniture as it was ordered.😅😊
I've worked in several furniture stores in my life. There was one was great. We would offer loaner furniture while people were waiting for special orders. Problems do arise but you deal with it and take car of your customers to the best of your ability.
Ashley Furniture this is how you (corporate) goes out of business
Ashley furniture is garbage
Yup
Pretty much every chain furniture store is garbage.
American furniture warehouse too
@Joe-bepopeverything is garbage anymore ..Appliances and all
Actually, they do have some relatively good pieces (leather and modern) made by other companies. But their personal brand - idk. I mean the truth is, you get what you pay for. Not everyone has the ability or wants to spend $10k on a sectional. I think mid level furniture is the best way to go so you don’t have to keep it for a lifetime, you can always change up your home decor. I just moved apartments and my $13k couch went str8 to the trash. I vowed never again.
Same for Ashley here in Washington State!!! We bought a dining table and bench. After 5 months of BS they said the bench was no longer available even though we already paid for it! 6months of interest for nothing! I will never shop at Ashley again!!!
😢goodbye money. If you see a parking lot at stores and only 2 cars, and no other, I'd keep on going.
Ashley is the new Rent-A-Center.
OMG this happened to me exactly June 2022. I moved from Florida and went to Ashley Furniture in Thompson LN, Nashville TN. Paid 6,500 cash for living room sectional and I was told 3 weeks for delivery. After 2 months no furniture. They offered to give me discounts by reimbursing me 1,500 if I give them extra 2 months. I said HELL NO. Give me all my money back. DO NOT GO TO ASHLEY FURNITURE
You never give such a big deposit - that should have been a Red Flag. Guess they have to steal in order to keep their stores open.
You should never pay in full up front
Yep. I just paid $6k upfront as well. Was told 3 weeks max initially. Just got my item after 2 months! And I was up charged initially as well, as compared to online price.
After a friend of mine worked as a salesman at Ashley furniture, everything he told me convinced me not to buy anything from their store.
I ordered a couch, a loveseat, 3 bar stools from the Tampa store. I got it all delivered on time. Thank God
Ashley Furniture, in my experience, is overpriced, cheap junk. Terrible...very low quality...
Only buy furniture you can physically take with you or delivered that day or the next.
Keep shopping at Walmart
You mean floor models, right? Sometimes you want something better with a different fabric. They you'll have to wait because it's now a custom order.
Exactly!
if you take $800.00 form 200 people each month that $160,000 hold it in the bank 3 to 4 months they made money off you ,
About $2k in interest (4% for 4months)
That’s a sign of money issues! Something similar happened to me and the company eventually went under.
I had this same issue with Ashley in the 1980s. Ordered a glass dining table. 3 months later I got the base but not the table top. They took the base back and 2 months later I got the top, no base. It took another 6 weeks to get a refund. Never deal with Ashley, this is 40 years of customer abuse they continue with
This same thing happened in my local area. A family owned furniture store that was in business since 1936 and received good reviews was taken over by a 4th gen owner. After he was running the show, things got very bad primarily with taking customer's money and not delivering the merch within a reasonable time frame or eventually cancelling the customer's order after being in limbo for several months, some around a whole year. Their ratings on Google went from four and five stars to nothing but just total straight one star reviews. Then last year they made an announcement on TV the store was closing after being in business for 88 years. I think some customers who paid them money are still trying to get their money back.
When Ethan Allen closed you know quality is not on Americans minds. Chinese Furniture glued together the new norm.
Elmer's glue and cheapest particle board or pressed cardboard (in place of actual wood)
And dressers these days are completely pathetic, the inside of the drawers are far too shallow, the hardware and materials extremely cheap and flimsy, ..just useless garbage
I have a Ethan Allen bedroom set from the late 70s or early 80s. It's heavy to move, but I love it!!!!
@@warthogA10 Most people now a days can not afford Ethan Allen furniture with the crap pay and exorbitant cost of living, they prey on people like this where everything made to day is junk.
I'm still using 2 bar stools - solid wood - from Ethan Allen. Bought in 1978.
@sandyrose2398 They don't make them like that anymore, do they?!!
Good to know. I just moved and was ready to buy majority of my furniture at my local Ashley’s next weekend. After seeing this, I will be buying it elsewhere.
As a former Ashley customer all buyers should be aware that they sell very cheaply made furniture made in China at a premium price.
After a flood in 2016 I went to check out how much was flooded inside and was shocked when I found my dining room set had literally melted. We were told it was made of solid cherry. In fact what I found was a melted dinning room set. What I found is that it wasn't made of solid cherry it was a veneer. The veneer fell off revealing some sort of wood pulp that literally melted all the way to the floor. We paid $4,000 for a small round dining room table and four chairs. When I look for furniture now I NEVER go to Ashley's and no matter where I go I look to see where it's manufactured. It's time for the USA to block ALL the cheap junk coming in from China and people need to wake up and realize they're supporting our number one enemy, China.
YES and YES!!
They're awful everywhere 😡🤬 Especially the one in Geneva ny
Send certified letter to CEO and vice president and follow up with phone call. Write BBB, write your consumer affairs,
CEO and VP of the Company is going to jump right on it. 🤣🤣🤣
I shopped at Ashley twice. The first time was a living room and dining room furniture- 2 years later I discovered the furniture quality was below the price point. The second time, I bought a bedroom set made of actual wood, not compressed wood, and I’ve had no issue with it. The 3rd time I walked in the store, the employees decided standing around and talking amongst themselves was more important than the customers. And the last time I was in the store, I had the same experience as the 3rd time. I’ve been done with Ashley ever since - due to their lack of willingness to engage with customers in a meaningful way, I furnished the other 7 rooms of my home with other companies. That company needs to act like they really want business.
I can relate. I will never buy from Ashley again. We bought a king adjustable bed. Took forever to get delivered. Then only one of the frames was delivered because the salesman didn’t know there was two twin frames. Not only was the price increased for the additional frame but took forever to get it.
Same exact experience in Ft Wayne Indiana with the store on Lima Road-no customer service, damaged furniture and high prices! No return policy which I was not aware of. Go someplace else!
A Big Sign saying "No Return Policy" has to be on the back wall of the cashier's area - and it has to be written on ur receipt. Take them to small claims court.
We ordered 2 couches (2006) from an Ashley store in NJ. They told us it would be 3 weeks before we would get the couches. We called after 5 weeks went by without hearing from the chain. They said it was going to be another 2 weeks since the fabric we had ordered had not arrived. We heard nothing after 2 weeks. After another month we finally requested a refund. It took a month before it finally showed up on our credit card account. Not a very good retail store.....
My furniture was purchased about 10 years ago in Colton Ca, thank God. They tried a delivery excuse AND I said hell NO. I paid and had my delivery within the week. Don’t play games with these folks. Threaten to sue with attorney general’s office. Thank God my furniture is STILL going strong🎉🎉Good reporting and research. Make real anchors again.
I had a problem with Ashley's at one time with my bedroom set 2023. But in past years they were my go-to for furniture.
Im sorry, but a one minute google search would have told these people to stay far far away from this store.
This happened to me with Ashley in Portland Or. Order never came for the couch. They never knew where it was for 2 months. Finally got a refund. Crazy
The vibe I got when I walked into the Ashley store in Jantzen Beach, Oregon was the same as walking into a timeshare presentation. Salespeople were basically stalking every customer, wouldn't let anyone just walk around and look unbothered. After seeing their prices, and the lack of quality of the sofas and dining sets, I turned around and walked out. Never again.
I recently bought two marble top nightstands from Ashley direct from their store online. I received it 5 days after ordering. It was delivered by FedEx. I had no problems at all. My nightstands were packed very well and I am a happy customer. I’m not trying to downplay other people’s experience or anything. I just want to say my experience wasn’t bad.
When delivery of my purchase was delayed three times, I went in and caused a stink. They gave me a refund on the spot. I'm told that was highly unusual.
Seems nowadays the only way to get results on anything you buy that turns out late on arrival, broken or defective is to raise a stink. Being nice and patient just doesn't cut it.
I just bought and had my first Ashley purchase delivered in 1 week as told. I feel lucky!
Hallelujah!!! I just had such an experience with Ashley furniture. Took about two months to get my couch, but as soon as I got it, I was very happy and all was forgotten and I must say some of the staff really are great, professional, and very helpful. The company is setting them up to fail. The prices online are much cheaper than in store (that needs to be fixed, bcus they tie their salespeople’s arms behind their back) they can’t compete w online prices even with discount - which is what happened to me. I had to reorder same couch 3 times. And by far the biggest problem is the shipping aspect.
It took about 9 months to get my bed, I cancelled the side tables because they told me it would take a while, wish I was told that about the bed. This was 3.5 years ago in Indiana
This popped up for me and I'm very out of the area, Nashville, but had a very similar experience with Ashley, twice.
The first attempt was a sofa and loveseat that was "ready for delivery" but also on backorder for months. I cancelled and they were suddenly ready to deliver but couldn't confirm a delivery date so I refused.
I decided to buy a new bedframe and since I still had a card with them went there, a different store, and they were a little.better BUT the frame arrived missing to get metal hardware to hold it all together, had to file a warranty claim instead of them just sending the hardware, and after 2 or 3 weeks received the hardware but not enough screws. I ended up matching screws they did send at Home Depot and was finally able to setup the bedframe weeks after the main parts were delivered.
No offer of a discount, no offer for a refund for all the troubles, but they randomly cold call me about buying new furniture and send tons of junk mail about discounts for new purchases.
It's not just a franchise issue, it's the company.
I don't even know why people shop there I went to Ashley Furniture for the first time in my life I was looking for a queen size bed and headboard. After I looked at prices on a few my mouth flew wide open the Furniture is too expensive I walked out of there
Right...same in Charleston.S.C
There’s a reason this furniture is so much cheaper than the other brands. You get what you pay for (or don’t).
Trust me, the drive to Houston to buy from Gallery Furniture is well worth it. Mattress Mac won’t let you down!!💯
I worked at a lumberyard that sold a ton of Ashley furniture back in the early 80s (at a store much like Home Depot, in today's terms). It was IKEA-like (before IKEA was around) in that it all came in boxes and was self-assembled, cheap, laminated particle board, stuff. 15 years later (mid-90s), in a completely different job and area, my supervisor attended his class reunion (Michigan, I believe), and told me a classmate of his was the founder of Ashley Furniture (this was still before they had showrooms/stores in our area). I see the stores today and cannot believe what they have become - given the background I witnessed.
I see total incompetence with the employees and they don't care 😮🤔
I bought 2 end tables from a different Ashley store, took over 6 weeks to get them. One was damaged on one corner on top, told me they would have it 'repaired' and it could take up to 4 weeks. Told them I paid for a NEW end table, not a repaired one. Said this is their policy, I told them to refund my money and they can keep both tables, they said they would order another table. The store tried to give me the 'new' unit 3 weeks later and when I went to pick it up, you could tell it was repaired and not new. I had put a small magic marker mark on the very bottom in a specific spot and I took a picture of this spot. When I picked up the table it was not boxed up, I asked them to turn the table over and when I asked if this was a new table they said it just came in last night, I showed them the Pic of the spot I marked and then showed them the spot that matched my picture and asked how could this be new if that spot is still there. Told them I was fixing to call the news station and have them do a story about Ashley stores ripping customers off. After another hour or so, they automatically show up with a brand new boxed up table. When I asked how they had one in stock when they are only made when someone orders a table, the guy in the warehouse had no answer and neither did anyone in their local office. Very dishonest people at the location I bought from.
Wow thanks for the warning
What ??? I thought this was resolved years ago. PEOPLE DO UR SIMPLE GOOGLE REVIEW!! Geez that was like 6 yrs ago I left that HORRIBLE REVIEW FOR ASHLEY! I went into the store in ABILENE TX and went round through there picked out right at $10,000 worth of furniture. Went up to the desk paid for it. And asked where do I pull to y’all’s loading dock. He said oh no, we’ll have to deliver this stuff. I said, sir I live way out in the country on the ranch and it’s just a lot easier for me to take it. They said we don’t have that stuff here in stock. I said it’s ok I’ll take ur demos. He said it could be up to 6 to 8 weeks before I receive this. Oh hell no just credit my debit card back I’ll go elsewhere.
Yeah I went into Ashley’s once and I found my bedroom master set.
They wanted over $5,000 for it.
I laughed and got online on my phone and found that exact set at “ American Furniture Warehouse for $2,800 cheaper. I showed this to the manager after he said he could match pretty much any price. He looked at the ad and bluntly said yeah we cannot match that price.
I then realized that that whole business model was stacked on robbing customers. That kind of profit is twice what it should have been.
I’ll never ever set foot into an Ashley’s again.
If you paid with a C.C., do a charge back.
Unless its a floor item and you can take it right then, don't shop at these corporate furniture stores.
This has been going on for years. I bought a couch and a recliner in 2015 it took months to even get a delivery date. when they did give me a delivery date, I gave away my furniture and sat on the floor or lawn chairs in my living room for a month. I went back to the store and get nothing but excuses one of seats in the broke within the year, and they tried everything to get out of honoring their warranty.
It’s not just that store… I bought mattresses for my 4 kids and they weren’t delivered on time either. The kids slept on the floor for 3 weeks. We had just moved and thats why we needed them.
Happened to me too, never again!!!
Oh boy.....in a north Florida store big problem couple years ago.. Only buy from them when it's a buy and take home that day. Daughters sofa 2:10 never arrived and drove to Waycross Ga after almost year to get her 2000 back. Because she complained and fought with them.... . Now same store has opened with a new name...We got that 2000 check went right to the bank and cashed it. All day trip but you have to do what you have to do.
Don't be fooled...
Ashley will set up a $50 (wholesale) headboard and display it with a $1,200 comforter. The lighting will be perfect and the accessories will make the headboard look GREAT! ... it'll be priced $299. Don't be fooled...
We ordered a kitchen set and bedroom set from Ashley furniture for our new house. It took them over 9 months to deliver. We were sleeping on a mattress on the floor like a frat house for nearly a year. This was a store in Huntsville, AL a couple years ago. I see they havent changed their stripes at all and COVID was just a convenient excuse. When we asked to cancel it, they told us there would be a 20% restocking fee. RESTOCKING FEE!? ITS NOT...... IN..... STOCK.....!!!
Many years ago, I moved to southern calif - and went to Ashley Furniture in Oxnard, CA. There were several sales people standing around the store - and no one acknowledged me - and there were very few customers. I started walking out - and a female asked me why I was leaving. I told her no one acknowledged me - and she said, "they probably thought u couldn't afford the furniture." Unbelievable!!!! Since then, I read that Ashley has the cheapest, crappiest furniture - and I never went back.
Ashley Store in Franklin TN charges a 300% markup for the same exact sofa sold at Ashley store in Randolph NJ
We had a local furniture store in town. When the parents retired and left the store to their kids the store was shut down a few years later. They were just stealing money from people and stealing money from the company.
Whenever I want to buy something - big or small - I always google the store name and read reviews.
you know when Big Lot's sells ASHLEY Furniture you know it's JUNK!!!!
They don't Ashley's is good They are getting reject furniture big lots are horrible
@@Brenda-lg4dl NOPE, it's the same quality JUNK that Ashley has in their showroom! Even Schewels sells better quality!!!!
Good to know. Will not be looking for new livingroom set at Ashley Furniture.
Give them a chance I bought everything from there in Wisconsin it was great
@Brenda-lg4dl I live in Wisconsin too. We have bought Ashley furniture in the past. Truth be told, there was a lot of particleboard (meaning wood waste). I don't wish them to close, but this story kind of solidified my dissatisfaction.
our experience with slumberland was the same. The delivery was delayed for months and when it finally came, it was damaged. They never follow through on fixing it.
We went through this same experience at an Ashley furniture in Cincinnati.
Thats why people go to Amazon and why Amazon is winning. They are quick with it and you can return for full refund
Let's all tell Ashley to get the (F)urniture out of here😮😅
This has been an ongoing issue with them, the movers that work for them once told my mother if she wanted anyone to listen to her frustrations that’d shed need a man to handle it for her 😭
I purchased 2 sofas and a chair from Ashley in 2021 , Brandon Florida. It arrived on time but wasn’t the color I’d ordered! I called immediately but was told that wasn’t a reason to return! They were rude and refused to communicate with me. I was so frustrated that I finally gave the garbage away. I’d never step foot in another one of their stores! The lights in their stores make most of their furniture appear different from the ones that show up on your doorstep!
I also purchased furniture from the Ashley store in Brandon, the furniture was delivered promptly, but as many have noted the quality is subpar. I remember the high quantity of Ethan Allen furniture, but quality came with a price. Ashley furniture is a “ya get what ya paid for” pressed wood pulp store.
Our problem with Ashley in Tampa Florida. Management changed the 30 day return to 3 days on our paperwork. Of course this was not mentioned. Stay far away from this company.
Ashley furniture is low quality, low income trailer park furniture. My daughter bought a sofa and the whole back broke out of it. They actually closed the Ashley furniture store here in Tucson. Nothing but overpriced junk that doesn't last.
When you request a refund and they claim they have to file some papers. You don’t leave until you get your refund. I’d sit at the front of the store to tell new customers my story.
When I went into an Ashly store looking for a new piece of furniture, I discovered two things that turned me off. First, unlike other furniture stores I have shopped in, they will not sell off the floor if you find just what you’re looking for. You must special order. Second, they make you pay in full up front to order, with no firm time when you will receive it. All other furniture stores I have purchased from only required a down payment when ordering. I was frequently kept up to date on delivery time.
Would never recommend Ashley to anyone. Can’t imagine why they are still in business!
That happened to me year ago , I paid for a dining set from Ashley furniture they sent me the chairs only. When I called the delivery store, they told me that the other they had for me even the people who delivered the chairs were making jokes about it. I called Ashley they gave me a lot of BS, the delivery store was all the way from Maryland, when they finally sent me the table it didn’t match the one I bought and there’s a scratch on it, I sent them a picture of the one I purchased the lady I was chatting back and forth with told me it looked like the same thing and I blasted her and the store with an email. Unfortunately I had to keep it because my son signed at the delivery time that everything was ok and the receipt said no refund. They are bad business
Trouble In paradise 😂. Or at least “ TROUBLE IN SAGINAW “ lmfao 🤣. Still waiting for a couch 🛋️ from 2004 😂😂😂😂😂😂. “ nasa engineer “ no doubt 😂 my friend Louie from Brooklyn , would have went to store at 3 am , and took out 400,000 $ in Ashley Store front windows 🪟 lol . Gotta love Louie 😅
Ashley furniture in Los Angeles, has been trash for years. I will never purchase anything from them, my couch broke down in less than two years. And it was hardly ever used!
We purchased from them in 2005. We were paying in cash. However, they INSISTED on getting a photo copy of our DL’s and our SS number before processing the sale! I said no way! They were either going to sign me up for a credit card that I didn’t need or want, or commit some sort of fraud! But it did take longer than promised for delivery - never went back.
When I bought the house I'm in right now I was gonna go to Ashley ... at the last minute I went to Odd Lots for some strange reason. The livingroom and bedroom sets I saw at Ashley I found at Odd Lots for something like $250 cheaper, I saved around $500 by going to Odd Lots instead.
Did she say she purchased a TABLE with a VENGEANCE and chairs?
Had nothing but trouble with the Ashley's in our town. Always told it would be 1-2 weeks. Most of the time it was 6-8 weeks. Our final order was 6+ months. We cancelled it and have not stepped foot back in an Ashley's since. Had an Ashleys credit card with 10k credit on it. Cancelled it that same day.
I will not buy there again. I had a bad experience and I am not crazy about going back.
Great news report
Years ago I Sandown on a couch recliner (motorized)
When it came they tried to unload a couch with alot og water damage. The material was real wrinkled.
I refused it, they came back with one that looked good. Once in my home, they left. I sat down and tried to recline it.
This one is not motorized, just mechanical.
I went there and talked to them. They claimed the price they quoted me was for the one I got.
I asked why would he quote me on a couch I never wanted. Told him I sat on the couch and pinted down to it, asking how much is this one. Told him I want it.
He just smirked blankly staring.
Ok, I never forget. They will never get my business and I tell everyone else too.
Ordered my sofa in 2019. Took over a month to get it delivered. Had the sofa for another month and going thru my phone I found a pic of the sofa I bought and what they delivered was something different. My fault so I didn't make a big deal. I demanded & got a refund for a cleaning service that was crap. Had pillows delivered that were originally not delivered w sofa. I will not buy from Ashley again
My mom bought two couches in the past 12 years and they're not great quality. She bought the first couch, which was a loveseat, in 2012. And after 5 years it was falling apart, but since she paid $600 she refused to get rid of it and buy a new one. Finally in late 2023/early 2024 she buys a new couch for $1,400, which looks nice but quality wasn't that great for a $1k + couch. Yet it's interesting that when we were inside the store looking around, Ashley's staff liked trashing IKEA's furniture quality but everything we bought from Ikea has worked out really well for us. And I really like the quality considering. Def better than Ashley.
As a former furniture sales person I can tell you this has all the hallmarks of Ashley not paying for the furniture so it can be delivered in a timely manner. This is common practice when money is tight. Robbing peter to keep the lights on when you should be paying paul so the furniture can be delivered. No one gets their back it is just lie after lie after lie. That job sucked. knowing what I know now about furniture I would never recommend or purchase Ashley Furniture. People are purchasing a name brand that gave up on quality and service a long time ago.
These large businesses are killing themselves by lying to their customers. Pht! That’s what they get the greedy jerks!
My daughter was promised the bunk bed she purchased would be in in 12 weeks. When it arrived, it doesn’t have the footboard. She canceled the order but never received her money back. That was 3 years aho
The reporter doesn’t sound as polished as other reporters to me when she speaks.
I'm here down in the D.C area...And I remember when they kept moving the timeframe back for months! Until I finally had to cancel!
Interesting story. Too bad the narration is so bad. The reporter reads as if she has real difficulty with it.
Same in Illinois, got a couch that i was told was IN STOCK and took 8 months to get it. It’s how they operate.
I bought Ashley furniture, it wasn't even the same furniture I had previously ordered. I would never buy from Ashley never.
My dad ordered a couch and two chairs from Ashley in Seattle. It took over 1 year and he still didn't get the couch.
Rule of thumb that I live by ... If I cant have possession of it when I pay for it then I don't buy it, I say "call me when you actually have it in stock.
That reporter is terrible
