    Really good instructions! Although, the first guy giving the chest compressions was going too quickly (>100-120 compressions per minute). Just keep that in mind when giving chest compressions! My instructor went over this part very clearly when I was trained last month and explained that the heart won't have enough time to get the blood to rebound if it is done too quickly.

      Thats very true, im a bit embarrased to ask, but when it comes to a Woman, does the chest have to be completely bare, or can you work around it with the bra still on?

    • @julianaazul4383
      @julianaazul4383 5 років тому +14

      L.A. Prodigy i did some research online, and the answers are very controversial about whether or not to remove the bra. the American Heart Association does say to remove the underwire bra, and another source said that the scissors included in the AED kit cut through a sports bra with ease.
      hope this helps! 😉

    The use of the AED was ok. The compression rate should be between 100 and 120 compression per minute. We also don't (look listen and feel) put our ear (face) right next to their mouth (face) when we are checking for a pulse and breathing anymore. We also haven't given ventilation before compression in over 10 years. I think they need a more updated version.

    • @Sakkehattu
      @Sakkehattu 5 років тому +3

      That's just for the risk of infection / being so bad at it, that you push air into the stomach.
      If you know how and you're clean, and you're know the other person is clean, go ahead and do mouth to mouth.
      EDIT: To clarify don't take this as the end-all-be-all info, it's just what we were told.
