Really speaking, the lady should have prepared the AED and the guy should have continued compressions until the AED starts giving instructions. Too much time off the chest.

Ok I’ve watched this several times and I still don’t feel comfortable thinking about the possibility I might have to use this. I still don’t know if I’d do it right and I definitely don’t want to make a bad situation worse.

They should not stop chest compressions while prepping the AED and applying the pads. Continue compressions until the machine prompts you to stop.

I am disappointed in this video. The video says to do the Right pad and then the Left pad, but it does not specify whether that is the patient's left side or the side that is on Our left/right.

Thank you ARC for the updated AED video. Fun fact: In the Dark Ages, they had CPR, but instead of AEDs they had JPDs (Jesus-powered devices). See the ancient archival footage here: ua-cam.com/video/5ZnEtZndAHI/v-deo.html

take your figure and try to establish where the ribs come together, just above that you begin cpr. you very well might break or sprain their ribs but the idea is to get them breathing again.

The use of the AED was ok. The compression rate should be between 100 and 120 compression per minute. We also don't (look listen and feel) put our ear (face) right next to their mouth (face) when we are checking for a pulse and breathing anymore. We also haven't given ventilation before compression in over 10 years. I think they need a more updated version.
