A great old tune. A pig's foot is a blacksmithing tool of some sort, I'm told. I think I leaned this from Baron Collins- Hill a few years back on mandolin. Deserves to be heard more often, I might add. Thanks, Natalie, for very clear instructions. Good people, this young lady understands and loves fiddle music from everywhere. It's a pleasure to hear her live. Bob in Belgrade, MT.
Wow! You play so gracefully! Well done!
Fabulous lesson, great tune
Excellent lesson. Appreciate.
Very nice lesson!
Great instruction Natalie, thanks very much
Hey Natalie! I just started playin fiddle a couple weeks ago, wanted to learn this tune, and found this! Love it!
Thank you for this lesson!
Thank you so much for this lesson. I have struggled with the note timing of this tune for months. Your version made it easy. Do you have other old time lessons recorded? I would gladly pay for more lessons like this.
You’re welcome! I have a few others on my channel 😊
You play beautifully and your instruction is very clear. Could you tell me what kind of violin you are playing? Thanks!
This is a 2013 Laura Vigato, I love it!
just slow enuf for this old dude to get the guitar chord changes just right. thank you.
Do you pronounce your name the Spanish way (like a "y") or the two lls? If it's the Spanish way, would you please inform KBUT's "Cold Frosty Morning" hosts, who play your pieces on their show a lot. I wince every time they say your name. But I love listening to your music and I first heard it on that Gunnison, CO show.
two LLs, sorry for the wincing...
If you perform in New Mexico, you might have to temporarily change the pronunciation of your name because everyone would give you a weird look when you announced yourself!
Nevertheless, I will keep on listening to your wonderful playing!
Sorry... wrong... Marcus played it in cross G... not cross A
Thank you for the correction!
😊
Thank you
