Angus your videos are so helpful. I do these currie test routes every week so it’s brilliant to watch from a driving instructors perspective. My driving test is four weeks away 🙏🏼
Thanks Tamara, very exciting that you have your test coming up! You will have to let me know how you get on. Thanks for leaving the positive comment, good luck with the test. I’m sure you will be great.
Hey Angus, I unfortunately failed my first test, 1 major, 4 minors but got some really good feedback. My second test is this morning at Currie - 10.04am so I will let you know how I got on later today.
@@AngusDriving I have question Angus, when you left the car parking of test Centre, why you gave a right indicator? I thought we should consider as straight road ?
AngusDriving.co.uk | Edinburgh Driving Lessons Also, I have got my test next week, would you happen to know how I could find the images on all the roundabouts that most driving instructors have such as the ones you showed on your other video? That would be such a great help as If anything that I will fail on, It will be these 3-lane roundabouts. Thanks :)
love watching your videos I have my test coming up soon and I was struggling with roundabouts but this has helped me so much to understand them clearer and better and I am enjoying my driving experience a lot more thank you👍!
Hi Angus. On the section where you talked about missing your exit on a roundabout, could you explain what options you have in that scenario rather than cutting across a lane.
Hello, Angus while watching your video I noticed you did not drive on the bus lane: was it because no one suppose to drive on them or was it the peak time? how about weekends can someone drive on the bus lane with bold white lines and green paintings. I know of the Sainsbury 24 hours busman how about the bus lanes at Calder approaching turning into Herriot Watt that leads to the Currie test centre.
Hi when this video was recorded the bus lanes were in action so I wasn’t to drive in them. They used to be in action all day but changed to being part time a few years ago. So now they are in action Monday -Friday between 0730-0930 in the morning and 1600-1830 in the evening. So if you are sitting your driving test outwith those times you would drive through them. Yeah that’s correct about the 24 hour bus lane beside the Sainsbury’s in the Currie test area that’s always in action everyday of the week.
great videos! it helps me a lot with my driving. I just noticed you put a message saying drive on bus lane out of those operation hours. so my quesiton is do I must drive on bus lane during my driving test? and if there are some cars overtaking me on the left when i drive on the right lane, can i still cross the solid white line in the middle of the road and move into the bus lane? Thanks a lot!
+luka ji Hi, yeah if you can treat the bus lane just as a left lane between 0931 and 1559 don't worry about crossing over the solid white line when it is not in action. So always staying in the left unless you have a reason. Reasons I can think of would be if you wanted to overtake someone, if there was an obstruction like a broken down vehicle or something. The last reason would be if you were turning right that would be a reason to drive in the right, so if told during your driving test we will be turning right ahead, this would be your reason to move out.
