when did u change the profile assigned ? Because this profile is of Associate faculty.
the permission set "theory faculty" was already assigned to "amit shah" user ,having profile of associate faculty.
here he just changed the few access in permission set.

Hello, I have a question. If a user have read only access as per the profile but in permission sets lets say we have given edit access for the same field now the user able to access the field as per his profile permissions(i.e Ready only) or does he able to edit field as the permission set?
Permission sets, they are additive in nature, and are time bound. We can set them for a particular time or infinite time.
