Thanks GMBN for highlighting the shredding skills that Ella and other female riders bring...the entire MTB community benefits from more inclusion. Also for not editing out the parts where things go a bit sideways...it seems many riders only want viewers to see their perfect moments, where Ella's showing the genuine experience...the big sends and the crashes that, at some point, are going to accompany them. Very glad to see her laughing afterward with bike & body still intact! Ella's a super-skilled rider with a great attitude...looking forward to seeing more of her riding and upcoming wins! :)
It takes Ella Conolly to make Neil Donoghue look like going at a normal speed rather than being super fast as usual (despite the fact that he still is super fast). That's a compliment for both :). The very best wishes for good luck to Ella for this EWS seasons, looking forward.
Speaking to current and up-and-coming athletes in all disciplines would make a fantastic series…giving the riders a bit of support, and (I imagine) getting more younger folk interested in competition
Does anyone know which trail this was shot on? Would love to see some more footage and perhaps even visit it some day! Ella's skills are sick and she's a beaut too!
She‘s really cool. I wish I had that confidence. The colour of her bike is great. There should be mir bike colours like that and not only black and grey.
You have missed: ugly green, shitty yellow, pale purple, greyed blue, tasteless blue. For example Nukeproff colors are not pretty bad, but old bikes was with bright colors with great contrast, it was cool to look at that bike. Where bright yellow with black background, orange, red and others have gone? Market really buys only black-white bikes? And now we have borring coloring, but good geometry.
@@alexyaremchenko4239 Absolutely right. Where ist metallic emerald blue/green from my 1992 beginners hardtail today? A 1000€ option for a custom frame.
I think Enduro riders are still holding back from armoring up their bodies thinking it restricts their movements but it will improve confidence knowing you can push a bit harder with protection . No I can understand the pedal up is not that comfortable with a sufficient amount of protection but I think you can take it off and pack it up with you and put it back on going down hill . Baseball players started putting arm protectors on their lead arm when hitting so to protect it from getting hit from a pitch and with wearing it (which may not be comfortable) helps with protection from serious injury to the arm and gives confidence staying in the batting box with less fear which helps performance . If I went over the bars like she did in the video in my rock infested land It may have been broken bone time for me
They do for EWS! the protectors used in EWS are not that different than DH WC just no elbow pads. They are riding at home so more on a chill ride, and the open face pretty sure its GMBN fault for wanting to show face for views and for the interview.
@@madeiradriftin4429 Being from the highlands, I doubt you'll see full faces even on the most gnarly terrain around here, other than FW World track. Reason being is that climbs are usually tough and long, and the woods are dark and hard to see in. In addition, the trails are mainly slow-ish tight tech rather than fast plow-like trails you see in France, Austria etc.
@@laurynasjagelo5075 . I’ve been at the mast before but these looked different to the one’s I seen. Must be different trails, also when I rode the mast about 5 years ago they where too difficult for me at the time. Maybe I should try again. Cheers 😎

Great bike , rides smooth ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L I added a bigger spring loaded seat to it . Takes a bit of adjusting cables to get brakes and shifting to perfect . I've owned quite a few bikes in the past that were absolutely uncomfortable to ride and they always ended up as garage wall decor . I'm not seeing that with this one. It's pretty light I've only ridden it a few miles but I like it . As for the pedals falling off in the other reviews , the pedal arms are aluminum along with the pedal studs look to be also . I would not overtighten them. I can see it would be very easy to overtighten them and strip the threads right off . All in all I think it's pretty good quality besides the aluminum pedal thing .
I couldn't help but think about the broken elbow she referred to and wonder why she is riding without elbow pads. Helmets, knee pads, and elbow pads should be standard equipment for every rider. Better safe than sorry!
What do you think of Ella's mindset?
Defo focused on what she wants wish her all the best 👍🏼
A wonderfull woman 🤘🏻
down to earth, realistic, committed, mature, enviable.
Brillant, hope you can get her on the channel again to give us ladies some pointers
#GMBN Ella's energy is infectious. Inspirational to watch and will be rooting for her all season.
Good on her, she’s living the mtbers dream
She a tough rider! Quite the inspiration. Best of luck in your career and future

Looking forward to seeing this bike on the trail. It's a sick looking bike and sadly wasn't available when I needed a new bike.

Ella on great form this year
Not often you see someone ride a bike as smoothly and nicely as Neil on the tech. Just floating down the trail

Riders of the 90’s paved the way for this…. Now you can make a good living out of it !
Go on Ella 👏👏👏👏
Just excellent!
what size are the brake discs?
Where r these trails I live near Inverness so I think I’ll be close but then it depends if u have gone somewhere else then it’s ok

RAD video/interviews! That bike is purdy too.
Beautiful bike ❤️

what is that additional wheel above the chainring and its purpose?
Called an idler wheel to reduce pedal kickback on a high pivot bike.
The way I understand it, the high pivot on the rear suspension would lead to back kicks from the chain to the pedals and this tries to mitigate that.
Nice run 🤘🏻
Where can I get this bike?
great footage of the crash!
Where is this??
What jersey is she wearing?
I wish i lived near area like that...
I do ! I’ve lived in Inverness for 25 years , been cycling all over the area and I don’t know where these trails are ! But I’ll find out soon.😎

Is it just me or are we missing an actual bike review? how does it climb, how does it handle, is it playful etc etc etc?

So is Ella.
Snow and ice isn't a reason to stop riding bikes. Just take a shovel and clean the trail.
