It looks like your mac is running out of disk space. You'll need to try backing up most of your files to another disk driver, which can be set to empty storage to get enough space to download High Serria. You can check your downloads folder for any incomplete high sierra dmg files and throw them out to the trash and empty the trash directory to prevent future redownload conflicts. After reboot / restart your mac, Go to this download link from Apple Support support.apple.com/kb/DL1969?locale=en_US Read everything carefully to make sure your mac meets the hardware requirements for 10.13.6 high sierra. Click the "Download" button to follow the instructions. P.S: check your wifi network and apple ID login are correct.
You've to check your Mac (hardware) model if it compatible with the latest macos. The model year line will move up as below; if the hardware late 2010 / 2011 which compatible OS 10.13 High Sierra. if the hardware at least late 2012 / 2013 / 2015 (depend the model) which compatible OS 10.14 Mojave or 10.15 Catalina. Big Sur should be moved up year more later as 2013 or 2017. Please re-watch 02:14 again, click "apple symbol" at top left corner, select "about this mac" to check which hardware model you have. And the memory should has enough space to allow upgrade. I have high Sierra but it still won’t let me download garageband. Any thoughts? It keeps telling me it can’t be downloaded because I need version Mac OS 11 or later
High Sierra's final version 10.13.6 was updated on 12Nov2020 that only compatible with GarageBand 10.3.5 but it's not available for the latest version 10.4.1 unless macOS 11 Big Sur which you need to upgrade your hardware to mid 2012 or higher version. Let's try little earlier version that has no big different with the updated one. Click "App Store"->"Purchases" to install the version you had. Good luck! (P.S: I like your electric guitar sound, play more and upload more to your channel :) )
@@HellBuddySolutions thank you so much! Yeah I just downloaded an older version of garageband but that’s the plan I need to get a better camera so the quality of my videos are better but I appreciate your feedback really :)
Find the Mac OS you want to get and review the requirements on the Apple Support page. [2:16] Go to your Mac on the "Apple" symbol in the next top corner, click on it, and select "About This Mac". In the overview, you will see your Mac's current OS version, make sure your hardware and memory meet the updated OS requirements. My video already said you should watch it again.
The A1342 Macbook should be from 2010, you need to see its "Late" or "Mid". Seems able to try High Sierra(late 2009 ), if not, go down to Sierra or other lower version. Also, make sure your Mac has enough memory for the upgrade. Check this link: support.apple.com/en-us/HT211683 Good luck!
