I have the same press and have been planning to restore for use. Did you redo any of the baskets? If so, how did it go?
    Looks nice!

I have two baskets that are still good and sturdy. I might make one sometime just to try it though. Your biggest challenge will be the bands and riveting the wood.

Was that sandblasting on the grinder part? Also wondering about the paint

Shane Terrick I sandblasted all of the metal parts. The part shown was the red case of the grinder. The paint was basic Rustoleum paint. I’d recommend putting a clear coat on top of it though. If you intend on using it, then make sure it’s a good safe clear coat.

What kind of paint did you use? Is it food safe?

Dagooglenet I believe I used a Rustoleum brand paint. I put a simple clear coat on top of that, because I have no intentions of actually using it. There are food safe clear coats out there if you look into it.
