I have two baskets that are still good and sturdy. I might make one sometime just to try it though. Your biggest challenge will be the bands and riveting the wood.
Shane Terrick I sandblasted all of the metal parts. The part shown was the red case of the grinder. The paint was basic Rustoleum paint. I’d recommend putting a clear coat on top of it though. If you intend on using it, then make sure it’s a good safe clear coat.
Dagooglenet I believe I used a Rustoleum brand paint. I put a simple clear coat on top of that, because I have no intentions of actually using it. There are food safe clear coats out there if you look into it.
I have the same press and have been planning to restore for use. Did you redo any of the baskets? If so, how did it go?
