    Is it a long walk to get to the river bank?

      The opposite back is easier to fish, you can park in the council car park or some of the streets further up. You are then right on the river.

    hey which part of the river is this please? i was fishing up near clifton bridge but this spot looks really good,,thanks

      It's opposite the Foss basin. Usually good for a few, but can be busy with boats as very close to the centre. Good luck!

    Hi mate I am a current student at uni and want to fish ouse where are the best stretches and are they free also where is this location.

      Most of the Ouse through town is free fishing, as is the Foss. Check out the council website as I think they have maps and descriptions. You will be able to catch something along all of the river as it all fishes quite well. Feeder towards the middle for bream and float fish closer in for roach. Also I would recommend joining the uni staff/student angling club as campus lakes are very good, I have a video out in the coming weeks on there (also a few old one already from last year).

      @@riverfossfishing yh I will be doing that but at moment the lake has blue algae so cant fish there at moment

    You actually missed the best part.... the bream on the Ouse feed much better after dark.
