Michigan has long winters and lots of grey skies. I painted a boyfriend's dining & living room peachy pink. It looked really pink but when furnishing, art and a lot of plants were put into place it had a cozy relaxed sunny feel. Everyone loved it. And we didn't feel depressed in winter.
It’s all the layers that make a space come alive! I bet it is so warm and enveloping! Good on you for being brave with the colour! It sounds like it paid off! S x
So beautiful and soft. I painted my bedroom a barely there whisper of pink. It's a small bedroom but it's like being inside an ocean shell. It's lovely.

How lovely, I enjoyed this focus on all the nuances of one colour. Pink has been creeping into my home over the last few years, which is mostly pale neutrals and green. Most notably I painted the two largest walls in my otherwise white/grey kitchen in Farrow & Ball's 'Cinder Rose' which has a cooler undertone. I had a couple of black highlights in picture frames and one Colombian pot, so inadvertently I ended up with quite a 1920's Art Deco vibe. It's graphic, lively and I love it.

I love pastel pink. My kitchen and guest bedroom have a lot of pink accents and wall art. I painted my powder room pink and accented the room with gold.

Thanks for this video about one of my favorite colors - I have a wicker chair in my bedroom that sits next to a tiny moss green painted table. The rug near them is a Chinese red prayer rug and the bedspread is a rose/burgundy toile on cream. The walls will be a warm, almost pink tan/cream. I've been searching for what to do with the chair - now I have many ideas. Thanks!! I'd love to see other colors showcased this way.

I really need to start getting up earlier. The reason being videos like these demand a second viewing with a 2nd cup of coffee. There’s something so relaxing about the music yet stimulating with the coffee lol. Pink is one of my favorite colors yet I don’t own anything pink. When Gray came out as the new paint color at first I thought why would anyone want to paint walls dismal gray yet I understood quickly how gray became the new white. And I quickly found out that there was nothing more beautiful than a white Christmas tree bathed and glass and pink ornaments swirled with a pink tulle skirt. I’m not sure I would ever paint any walls pink but I am definitely for glass and flowers and anything accessorizing a room. Because in most cases a person can even get tired of pink and say why did I ever do this. Accessories however can be changed quickly and easily and cost near to nothing . That is so sweet! Thank you :) I too find myself decorating with pink accents more then a large furniture piece or wall paint most of the time, but that is because of my propensity towards neutrals. I do love pink ceramics for special occasions, flowers, dinner candles, soft furnishings e.t.c, xx

I have started the process of doing my interior pink. There are so many lovely blush to es out there that act ad neutrals all while having LIFE in them. I am also very much loving the green and pink aesthetic. There are so many gorgeous greens out there that pair well with pink but I have seen people mixing reds or blues with these pinks too. Pink is just so calming and versatile.

I have a Victorian home in California’s central coast and I have always wanted to paint the parlor pink. I got the idea a few years ago, after watching the series Poldark w/Aiden Turner. The mean guy had a beautiful office that had pink walls w/gold accents. Stunning!!!

I love pink in my home, which has a light pink and green color scheme, with lots of white. I prefer a pale, slightly cool pink. The men I’ve asked love the pink walls in some of my rooms, it feels warm, relaxing and comfortable. I would find it really difficult to use that bright, Barbie pink that is trending in fashion nowadays. I love that you know your history, pink was indeed a men’s color until the last century.

Hi Suzie! Lovely as always 💗 Excellent decor tips! I painted my LR yrs ago in pink. The lighting was all off. It reminded me of a giant Bazooka brand bubblegum Bubble😂 Sticking to pale pink accents is most desirable! On the otherhand, I recently purchased a Magenta Bougainvillea. She is Most stunning, outside on my deck 😉😍

Years ago I painted my master bedroom a soft, blush pink. I will never forget the horror when it rolled on bright bubblegum pink! Even my colorblind husband could see that it was PINK. I had to trust the paint sample. 24 hours later, it looked much better, but still--4 walls of even a soft pink still packs a punch (all that color bouncing off each other). Then we moved our cherry 4 poster bed and highboy in. Once the space was filled with furnishings and fabrics, it looked great and was our favorite room in the house. Sometimes you have to be brave and trust your vision. 😂

I never considered slipcovers for my headboard. Where might one go for such a service? Would an upholsterer be a good choice? My headboard is shape is a combination of "stepped" and "scooped".
