I grew up in the punk era, when all the polish was taken out of music and you could actually hear the people behind the songs. Modern music bores me because it's all been buffed down to a colorless blob of sound.
I totally agree with you on that one, music is best when it's raw.....it holds onto all of it's raw emotions....music today that is polished and seemingly without flaw is without emotion. Love your definition of today's music.

It's the difference between those who like packaged processed donuts as opposed to an apple of the tree. If you grow up on donuts, the apple actually does not taste good and you think the natural fruit is bad. Awol is playing live - that's a real apple. Britney for example is packaged pretty and lipsincs for the last 12 years right - is totally processed - and some people just grew up on Britney. How fucking sad.
Michael Jackson used to lipsync most of the time from the 1980's til his death and we all know how good he was, live and in the studio. Most of the artists who do lipsync only do it because they have to dance or do something that makes singing uncomfortable and hard. And so what, Awolnation is singing live but it's not good at all.
