This was great. Much appreciated. I suspect master Grove would give a nod of approval...I’ve seen other “orthodox” demonstrations and I gotta say this one actually engages the vocal delivery aspects that give clean language its power-as it was originally intended.
Yes and if you saw David working he would sometimes shift his voice to reflect that of the client if they regressed to childhood, "and what would a little girl like to have happen…" said in a soft almost musical cadence.
Excellent enjoyed this very much and yes works very well fantastic feeding back their own words same order and sequence as it comes out you feed it back overt hypnosis is powerful
Great stuff! Please get someone to proofread your subtitle text, James! Sorry, I have spelling and grammar OCD, but I love your content and love all of your videos.
Hi M I'm not sure that we will, but we are thinking of running an online training on the same topic, as many people who are in your position have asked.
Hi James, I take it you could practice the use of CL in every day conversation. However it can become difficult when the other person clicks on to this especially when usually I don't listen to them.
You can practice it there, but generally I wouldn't (unless you are going to use t very sparingly). David Grove's intention for this stuff was for it to be used overtly - that is the context it is created for and, IMO, works best in.
If i understood clean language = using the words of patient with a reformulation In a special tonality, phrase syntax, and voice pacing to patient with the aim to urge him or her to go further in the signification or the main words he said and this seemed important to him or her.
Hi James, the information page doesn't seem to do it for me, so I'll ask you here: I'm not a hypnotist. I'm just a person who's deeply interested in how someone can communicate with the most genuine version of humans. You refer to it as a trance-ended state, I believe. Could I handle the pace of information during the event? In any case, thanks for your videos!
Hi Christophe If you are not a hypnotist and are not specifically interested in hypnotic change work, this workshop is not going to be for you. Thank you for your interest though! In the near future, I am likely to be running more workshops on beingness and communication outside of professional change work.
Thanks for your quick answer, James. Honestly, it puzzles me a bit. I'm active in politics, which I truly see as a form of change work, and I've concluded that hypnotic patterns can help remove obstacles to 'bridge building'. As I see your videos, that becomes more clear. At the same time I mostly deal with conversational settings, so that would be my primary focus in a workshop. I'll stay on the lookout for those :)
I can only guess at what specifically you are puzzled about, but... When people ask me to privately teach the 'conversational hypnosis' my first question is always "what is your context?" Most people shrug and say they just want to learn it! The general principles of influence and hypnosis are learnable from many sources (you can find all the basics of 'Ericksonian' language, and more online), but this is not the same as actually building skill. Context matters massively - what I do with a 'Hypnotherapy' client would be very different from what I might do in a political debate, which again would be different from delivering a political speech. Of course, there are overlaps in principle but the practice is going to differ as the contextual variables shift. So, this workshop is two days only - in order to make it as high value as possible, it needs to be sure super focussed. Clean Language can be adapted for many contexts - I personally have over 26 days formal training in it and still probably only scratched the surface. So, in this workshop we are going specific and laser-focused. and context specific.
Exactly, it's not the same as building skill. So to answer your question, my context is political communication: private talks where people share their values and needs, as well as oral and verbal broadcasting of ideas (debates, speeches, media posts). I myself am value-driven to grow in it. What puzzled me is that I do see it as professional change work with a hypnotic element, yet calling it 'hypnotic change work' seems a bit... off. It really does seem I wouldn't be a perfect fit for this specific workshop. I'm incredibly intrigued by it, though. Thanks again for your answer, btw! It really makes we want to 'scratch the surface' of Clean Language.
I will say that Judy Rees has a lot of other programmes available that might be a good fit for you as she does almost all her coaching and facilitation work outside of the context of formal hypnosis.

Hi James, You speak about the first 2 Quadrants... What are the other 2 ? Thx
Quad 2 2 is psychoactive, but internal to the client. Quad 3 goes into 3D space beyond the client. Quad 4 goes into antecedents and ancestral stuff (If I remember rightly - I never studied quad 4, only quad 2 with Norman Vaughton and What would have been Quad 3 with Wendy Sullivan, Judy Rees, James Lawley and Penny Tompkins).

I use these kind of loops in my reflexology - deeply going into mind body connection

You are amazing, James. Confirming many of my thoughts. How does one get into this profession, these days?

Good tutorial. Thanks
great video James..

Hi James. Will you be recording this workshop? Not all of us can get to UK.

That seems like a fair synopsis.
Very nice! Thanks
