    Rhino makes some good tough equipment. Our older 15' Rhino mower has those leveling rods too. Good feature even though it makes it a little tougher to hook & unhook the mower (@ least for us @ times). I usually don't even use the jack though & just put blocks underneath the front skid plates on the main deck. Then hook up the main hydraulic line & use the hydraulics to line up the hitches when i'm hooking up & unhooking. Has worked great so far.
    & as far as the pto & turning, the best advice I know to not break it is just to listen to it as you turn. If it starts rattling, then you've reached the maximum turning radius you should be at. On our equipment about 45 degrees is as far as you want to be for pto equipment. Of course we run older equipment, so that be a factor. lol

    When i was carrying silage wagons for my uncle i had the idea to put the pin between the tractor and the wagon upside down like your father;i would then install the locking pin attached to a twine cord hooked from the back of the seat .I would then drive the empty wagon beside the silage harvester,pull out the locking pin, unhooked it there and go pick up the other full wagon;this would save one time going off the tractor to unhook!

    that joint is called a "double cardan joint" its purpose it to be more flexible then a normal uni-joint. with normal uni-joints the pivot / hitch point should be in the middle of the tractors PTO output and implements PTO input with out getting in to the complexities when 2 uni-jounts are on a shaft if they turn at different angels it will give an oscillating speed output and cause vibration in the implement the hitch point has to be in the middle to make sure both uni's are turning at the same angle. the double cardan joint is more or less an intermediate PTO shaft before the main one that has a mechanism to keep both ends of the double cardan joint at the same angle thus eliminates the oscillating speed and allows for much higher operating angles and allows the hitch point to be much closer to the tractor making it easier to maneuver and have a higher hitch load. if that where a normal uni-joint that tractors draw-bar would have to be a almost a foot longer or you would destroy that mowers gear box. hears a clip that shows the oscillating speed i am talking about ua-cam.com/video/Idk3BVDVHq4/v-deo.html

I am between Rhino TS 12 and Woods BW 12. The Rhino 12 has the different hitch that swings for sharp corners. Woods does have a Dare to Compare on there website and list most of the Flex Wing Mowers side by side specs which is nice. Next question. Are you opening a tractor Toys Park anytime soon. You know pay to play and bring your own tractor to try different equipment out. They do Have Construction Equipment park in Texas somewhere. • @roblancaster2036
    @roblancaster2036 2 роки тому

    I watched several of your TS10 videos before getting one of my own. I got it today. I’m new to tractors so still learning. The hydraulic hose is too short and I bought a 4’ hose and fittings to extend it but there is so much pressure in the hoses that I think it will make a big mess when I take the coupler off. At what position will there be the least amount of hydraulic pressure in the hoses? All the way down? Right now it is folded and all the way up and the pressure is so high that I can’t even hook it up to the tractor without great effort.
    Likewise, in what position should the mower be stored so that it’s not so hard to hook up the fittings when I’m ready to mow?
    Is it correct that if I get the three-function hose kit that I can mow narrower areas by folding one wing up and mowing with the other two?

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  2 роки тому

      First, congratulations!
      The wings have a safety latch which can help take the pressure off. Make sure those safety brackets are connected.
      Also, there is a latch on the center cylinder. Fold it over to hold the center up.
      Then loosen the fitting to release the pressure.
      For storage, either use the safety straps and cylinder block I mentioned, or store it all the way down.
      Simply stated, if the cylinders are holding anything up, the lines will have pressure.
      Does that help?

    • @roblancaster2036
      @roblancaster2036 2 роки тому

      @@TractorTimewithTim
      I think so. By safety latch do you mean the transport bar/latch?
      If so then it makes sense. Essentially put in travel mode and drop the hydraulics all the way down to take the pressure off?
      Since I will be introducing 48” of air into the system do I need to bleed it after I’m done? If yes, how?

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  2 роки тому

      @@roblancaster2036 no need to worry about bleeding system.
      Removing pressure means cylinder isn’t holding any weight. You can remove pressure using any technique which accomplishes that.

    I really want to hear how it works with your LX3310. I have a LX2610 and am considering getting a TS10 to pull behind in for smaller properties (1-4 acre) we maintain instead of taking our 100+ HP tractors & 15ft bat wings or our ZTRs. A little LX & TS10 I’m thinking might fit on a 20 ft trailer & would be much easier to haul around in Dallas traffic vs one of our 36 or 40 ft deck over gneck trailers with the big tractors. These properties are a little large for one guy to knock out quickly with the ztr, which has me considering the TS10. We mow them once per month, so they typically wont be very tall/thick. I know the LX2610 would be a little light on HP but wondering how it would handle the TS10 in these conditions. Thoughts?
