I loved boot camp. I felt like I never left home. My family is full of screaming and intimidation
LMFAO
Fed Up my family the same
Fed Up Royal Marines are just better
I did not enjoy either but once I went completely silent, they seemed to leave me alone. They just got "Yes, no and their rank."
I was in the Navy's boot camp, and I told them that to their face. Come from an Italian family, ain't nothing I've never witnessed. And my grandmother use to slap the shit out of me.
holy shit when the black instructor started yelling I nearly shit myself. his voice is so powerful and violent and deep. dude sounds like batman.
EpicFace5050 USMC needs more black men as instructors.Theres a lacking of balls in the US armed forces
EpicFace5050 that was my Senior Drill instructor Staff Sergeant Daniels, I'm sitting somewhere in that exact brief.
Its a lot worse in person. The videos don't do it justice.

RogannVG The Mexican ones at San Diego are scary asf, especially when they get quite and start to whisper
“Sit up straight and look at me!” This is how I started my fourth grade class in East Cleveland.
Marie Katherine These Marines have gotten nothing on the sisters of charity Who taught us in grammar school
Thomas Russo I think you’re right! That’s because the Sisters of Charity we’re warriors fighting an enemy more fearsome than that encountered by the gutsiest Marine, the Devil himself.
My son is now in his second week of training at Parris Island.
Wishing him the best.
Good luck to your son! And thank him for his service, and yours if you served.

Matthew temkin hi mate,
Good luck to your son, I’m sure you are extremely proud of the young man.
My son is now entering his Royal Marine Commando phase at Lympstone in England, I’m absolutely terrified for him, it means everything to him, out of 60 initial recruits they are now down to 16, I pray he stays injury free and mentally strong.
Kind regards
Another proud Dad
What 3-4 weeks in now he’s got it the first 2 and half weeks are the hardest from what I’ve heard on my road to the Corp need to lose 40 more pounds and I’m goin been working on my weight since 338 my goal is to join and be Infantry and go to MARSOC,Good Luck to your son he’s got it as long as his mental doesn’t give up
Good luck Hurrah!
It's very physical, to be sure...but a lot of it is mind games too. Just pay attention and don't be Private Pyle..
...yeah so you can have the chance to become a cadaver or a limbless torso shitting into a plastic bag "for your country" which is just an idea.
ClaudeMagicbox apparently you don't know, care or realize that there are plenty of noncombat jobs in the military.
Great, so you want to be an underpaid accountant or fry-cook into the military?
Seriously....and I'm talking as an ex military that served in the Balcan mess in the early '90s, the military is a great stick up one's arse.
Once you clear your mind from the hype and "warrior" aura you realize just the dumbest go and die or get maimed voluntarily for a bunch of rich politicians and corporate executives.
They'll never go and need cannon fodder.
And once your dead or badly handicapped there is now respawn ya know :-)
Some of us believe in our Oath. We can't help you lost motivation.
Not the case at all. I know it's cool to poke fun at things that a copious amount of people support, but if you don't get your facts straight you'll just look like an internet infirm. You get taught a ton of technical skills specifically designed for professional jobs. If that wasn't necessary, branches like the marines cover your schooling so that you can get a degree required job that pays well aside from ones that need a licence. The point is to do YOUR research so that you don't become an "underpaid accountant'' (whatever that means), or a fry cook (typical).
They weren't yelling loud enough for my liking
I really really want to but I'm disqualified
Srenblac Kitten mental disability?
Aaron Latterell eczema
Srenblac Kitten shit
That sucks
......”We will give every effort to train you”.......even after you have given up on yourself”.......there was a couple times during Parris Island when that phrase came true and I thank them to this day for that concept. This was mid 90’s and glad to see that theory is containing
Thank you for your service Marine.
My throat was getting sore just from listening to them.
Me too.
Deadstick You’re right. Removing comment.
@@thes.a.s.s.1361 Thank you, you're a good man.
Then you're doing it wrong. with proper training your throat doesn't get sore.
0:35 He is extremely intimidating in person. His last platoon (3090) was the honor platoon, so he must be a great leader too.
John D he was my Senior, Staff Sergeant Daniels. This was actually my brief, 3058, we were honor platoon too. He was terrifying
I just get a "I love what I do" vibe from him
Ed Fitch what makes them terrifying. They can’t physically abuse you right?
Don’t take shit from anyone I’m guessing.
What's intimidating about him? I guess some people never been around legitimate tough men, who don't act or run off scripted lines.
I was never in the military but I'm very grateful and appreciative of all the men and women who have served this country. THANKYOU and Godbless...

My son is in the militarily.....after he was done with boot camp.....he told me that the next time I see a soldier.....thank him.....
They probably drive their friends crazy having to practice that voice
They have helped to turn young lives from bad to good. Thank you.

It’s fucking horrible I’m not gonna lie.
Where to? MCRD San Diego or Parris Island?
Looking back basic training was not bad at all. Best advice I can give to anyone going to boot camp for any branch is this . Check the ego at the door . It's ok to get dropped and yelled at and embarrassed . Everyone is going to feel that pain . Do what your told , remember that drill went through what you're going through . He, she, gets paid to "boot" you in the ass, you get paid to take it and move on . Also, when you feel tired and stressed, so does that drill . They have families as well who won't see them as much during your cycle .
Lmao 1:19 ..."if you get beat by a drill instructor..I expect you to report it to me immediately. I will then do the same as your Drill instructor"
"Is that you, John Wayne? Is this me?"

My dad was a sergeant in the marines and he trained at Parris Island in the 50's. Back in those days, he said that the DI's would beat people up. There were no consequences for them to physically abuse the recruits. So, there were two things he always told us while we were growing up: 1) never get into credit card debt, 2) never join the service. Sometimes I regret that I never did join any branch of the military. I admire the discipline, dedication and sacrifice that our men and women make for this country. God bless you all.

No group deserves more respect than the leaders of these fine people. They are what makes this country the best it can be. Much thanks to all you sacrifice everyday for the rest of us.
I have it on good authority that standing at attention, staring straight ahead, and shouting "sir!" when appropriate will get you through about 75% of your encounters with superior officers or NCOs
Hells yeha. been there
Only in Boot/Basic. After that you get smoked for "insulting" the nco by calling him/her a sir/mam. "Do I look like an officer to you!?" "I WORK FOR A LIVING!"
Dantes Prophet oh that's true. But if you're at the point where you're enlisted and you're saying "Sir!" to an officer you've done goofed up somewhere fierce and wishing that you were just being screamed at by your sergeant
And yet listening to these guys talking in an interview with a civilian, they're the nicest people you'd ever want to meet.
@@dantesprophet9612 You'll get that response from a drill instructor in boot camp if you accidentally salute him.
Seeing some of these comments demeaning some of the female marines is disgusting, both groups dedicate and risk their lives for us. To mock a soldier because of their gender or in other case race is mind blowing to me, the utter disrespect you have to have to do that is incredible. The amount of training both sides put in and how much they are risking shouldn't and isn't based on their gender or race. I can't believe some people Jesus.....

A Marine never lies cheats or steals? LMFAO. Tell that to the store managers at the malls near the Marine bases
They beat their wives though.
Marines did a lot of unMarine things when I was in. I remember very well going on liberty to Ocean slime a d seeing our gear on display in every window of every pawnshop in town. I mean flak jackets, helmets, e-tools, gas masks, etc. When our Battalion deployed to Bridgeport for Mountain warfare training, I came back to our barracks only to find that my footlocker had been raided and I wasn't the only victim.
I recall many years ago, I lived near a big Navy/Marine base, I got carded at a liquor store, the employee asked me if I had relatives ins a certain town, I said no they all are originally from Indiana over 80 years ago. A Marine behind me was with his friends and said nothing but losers come from that state.
One time near the Marine base I lived near, I was driving on a 2 lane road. At first I saw 2 cars up ahead, one in my lane and another in the left lane.In a few seconds later I realized they were both coming towards me. I pulled off the side of the road and saw 2 cars drag racing, both cars had Marines in them.
Only one Marine steals. The rest of us are just trying to get our shit back. 😎😉

The truth is, boot camp is actually not that hard. There are challenges but mostly because you’ve never experienced something like it. But it’s very doable.

It was way different in '69. Recruit training was eight weeks. Then off to your MOS training asap. There was a big rush to get Marines to Vietnam. DI's were physical then. You had to get it right the first time, or you got whacked or slapped. You learned real fast. The recruit training scene from "Full Metal Jacket" was pretty spot on.
