- In this video, I have successfully transformed an old and worn-out Ford Transit Mk1 van into a unique and exceptional vehicle. All standard restoration procedures have been meticulously carried out on this model. Notably, I have modified it into a twin-wheelbase configuration. All components used in this transformation were carefully crafted using my cutting-edge 3D resin printer. I sincerely hope that you enjoy watching the video and appreciate the final result. I extend my gratitude to all who have taken the time to view it.

Another superb upgrade from the picasso of paint. The casting is a Dinky transitional model a MK1 front end but without the sliding front door or the driver. The back is an early single casting lift door for their MK2 from 1975. Rather than the two opening rear doors they originally used. Top notch computer skills and 3d prints for the wheels very very nice fit and finish..👍
Thank you, ian much appreciated my friend 👍
You are a natural at this. The 3D printing is something I have not seen with other diecast customisers .
Thanks russ it's definitely easier with the 3d printer for making custom parts. I couldn't be without it now mate 👍
A lot of hard work there and the results were amazing.well done😊😊😊😊

Stunning work !!! 👍🏻
Thank you Chris 👍
amazing work. what clear coat do you use.?
i have used 2 pack in the past but it takes for ever to dry.
Thought you would of done in the white Ford mk 1 super van
Ian,I've got the same problem ,clear coat takes ages to dry .Luke is good I must say . Cheers Laz
Hi ian. I use 2k clear mate. You need heat for the paint to harden. I don't have any problems with it. I have a small oil radiator in my garage. I just pop the casting on there for an hour, then leave overnight it's dry the next day. Hope that helps. Thanks 👍
Awesome job. Wouldnt have known how or where to go with modifying the wheels or arches. Unusual painting technique. Finish & fine detail 2nd to nothing. Remember the fun I had hiding the filled in holes on my Royal Mail conversion
Thank you, ian. Yeah it can be a bit tricky hiding hols in the casting. But practice makes perfect pal 👍
@@DiecastRivalI've had 4 different goes at it on different models. Like you, eventually got there
@@ianhow100 definitely mate when you rub filler down use a small block will help smooth it out nicely 👍
Cunning plan Baldrick. I'll try that next time. Always gone for Araldite as my chosen filler. Modelling putty always seemed to stay soft
Think the rear arches were squarish, like the front! Not a bad resto/custom other than that.
Yes, they were terry. I did try to find a stl with the right shape arches, but I couldn't. So, I used what I had. I did think about shaping with a file but would have taken too much material off the outer edge of the arch. Thank you, my friend 👍

Great vids mate found channel by luck. How do you remove the paint from your cars?
Hi there I use a sandblasting cabinet. With kiln dried sand works a treat. Thank you. 👍
