Jus realized a few things (sorry if I just catched on now) 1. that No Blueberries, since ppl are connecting it to meds, are literally "No-Blue" berries 2. Also, in the first verse of Peanut Butter and Tears he listed some of his trumas/unsavory memories: Sunday morning karaoke, left my bills on the stove, left home long ago, tooth wiggling. With this, maybe Peanut Butter and (your)tears might not be just a random mix up of words but could be the most traumatic one along with the dentist appointment that he just opened(with the help of mr insanity). I love this series, might be getting scheduled for a psych evaluation soon, so I also love knowing about ppl's mental health, and especially Ian who's so open about it. Thank you for letting your platform be the mediA.
I think you are quite right that his art also helps him understand all this better. Not just that it gives his alters more power and ego, but also how he feels more comfortable looking into all this, exploring and revealing things. In the beginning, he never even mentioned DID. I believe it was just about getting ok with the idea of Mito and putting it out there. I assume the ressonce gave him more confidence to reveal more and keep adding more and more stuff to the lore. He had an overarching concept from the start but stuff like the Insanity and Hybrid EPs seemed to be more "spontaneous" decisions based on the trajectory of his own story and the reception of it. And in regards to the hybrid. He said in a recent live that the hybrid is what started all the changes towards Insanity. It was a void he found behind a door. He hasn't shown the hybrid anywhere so far. Here's what he said in his own words on 10 March 2024: "it's almost like a Titan. An ancient enigma of something." The Hybrid is "something that we don't understand yet and now story starts" and it lives in the void. "In some compartment of your brain lies the void. So what is the void? Every time you have an idea and you forget. Everytime you have a core memory, it's forgotten. Every time you have a bad memory. Trauma. Every time you have your first kiss. Every time you have all these experiences jumbled and forgotten. Not remembered - experiences that you block out. Experiences that you'd remember but you just completely forget. And other sources of experiences that you're inspired by. 'Inspired by' this is the keyword. Where does it all go to? [...] It trickles down into a space, a confined space that we don't even know exists, temporarily no, permanently in the mind. How long has it been there for? As long as you can remember. Is it an extension of my mind then? No! And this is where it gets interesting. [...] It trickles down to a specific spot called the void. And over the years and over time it creates its own entity. It forms good, bad, everything. [...] Everything has a consequence. [...]"

The green light in the sky trying to strike on him represents Mito going after Insanity. He said recently that there is a main symbology in the RGB additive color system. If you go watch all of his MVs once again you will realize! Red represents Insanity (i see it more like the magenta), Green is Mito and Yellow is Hybrid (in additive color mixture Green+Red=Yellow, Hybrid is a mix of Mito+Insanity). Also Blue is always interfering with Red and Blue, which means that Blue is the one who cause switches. Again, if you go back and rewatch Blue appearing in scenes relates to switches. So with this information, it is possible that Blue is represented by the Blueberry Monster, the representation of the triggers to switching. We can also see Cyan and Violet in his MVs, so i wonder if those will have anything to do with Miss Understood and Miss Insanity or some other personas

If I'm not mistaken, Christian once said on his IG live that he and the team had completed the storyline of this Mito lore, so if something ever happened to him (please no 😢) they would continue no matter what. He first mentioned of this hybrid entity during the Dear Insanity listening party on Stationhead (but not the term "hybrid"). Back then we joked that the name would be something like insamito 😂
