- Join me for a tour around the fairgrounds, showcasing must-try foods and the history of New England's largest fair-and the United States' fifth-largest fair! How did this massive 17-day event, with millions of attendees each year, end up in this small western Massachusetts town???
Vote LuAnn's Maple Bacon Cupcake!!! m.cmpgn.page/v...
This dudes going to float away 🧚♀️
This is my favorite.
Only thing I would get again is those empanada tacos and cupcake. I would pay any amount for those. They were actually the cheapest though.
My go to is always the deep fried taco near the rides entrance.
I am going tomorrow with some friends! I am so excited because I have never been to the Big E 😁
no line for the food, available clean table, tastes great...........six flags could learn a lot!
This is not how the Big E usually is. Josh went on a weekday by the looks of it. It’s usually MUCH busier.
You gota try the moo nut or the cornbread sundae!! Both are at moo licious across from the yellow slide and the second location, kiddie rides outside the coliseum.
I think...This ones my Favorite
😅it's like the film "Chocolat"
It's like the film "Chocolat"
this man... represents and embodies EVERYTHING aabout Mass and the people..... keep up the good work you handsome young man
$20 for 3 eggs is WILD!! Even with the toppings. That's not my favorite.
It was $20 for 6 of them but that's still a pretty good racket
definitely not wrong about the traffic. I watched cars backed up all the way to my office building across the river in Springfield for hours while I was working Saturday. I haven't gone to the Big E in years and I didn't know about the history beyond the carnival aspects. Maybe I'll actually go next year.
Unfortunately if you want to attend the fair these days, you have to take out a second mortgage to be able to afford it
Fun seeing the Big E. You guys sure had plenty to eat. lol
You and your videos are super fun to watch. I hope you'll develop your UA-cam career!
Deep fried deviled eggs, diabolical. Hope you felt ok later.
The apple crisp in the MA building is my great grandmother’s recipe!
Do an episode on cold spring hollow
Oh a long vlog??? Run it up, boys!! The key to ad rev for Josh.
What he said everyone. After all that fair food I need that it. loll
Funny, at the very end you said don't try the cream puffs... at the Wisconsin State Fair, it's the first thing that people run to!
Wow! Great video! As a native of Massachusetts (North Shore) I tend to stay close to the coast. I've certainly heard of the Big E but have never visited and had no idea how huge and comprehensive it is. Thanks for doing these videos on New England life and history. Keep it up!
I am going tomorrow with some friends! I am so excited because I have never been to the Big E 😁
Looks like you boys had a good time thanks for taking us along. You guys should come to the Parke county Covered Bridge festival in Rockville Indiana next month check it out.
Josh, you didn't mention that the 1936 flood put the Big E under 12 feet of water. On one of the pillars on the front of the Coliseum there is a tag about 12 feet off the ground that points how high the water got.
AHHHH I DIDN’T KNOW THIS. This is so good!!!!
Next time your near Agawam, MA stop by the Macho Taco restaurant & get the Birria Tacos....So Delicious!
Just came back from the big e! The pulled pork mac and cheese from bears smokehouse is so good 😩
Man if I ate all that junk I'd be sick. Good video, especially the historical stuff.
Great vid Josh. Your buddy is a great food critic...you, stick to history:)))
Come “Do the Puyallup!”! It’s called the State Fair, these days, but it’s still the Puyallup to many people. You can see day-old baby pigs!!!
Great Video 🙂
This was great.
you made me sad, I miss being able to attend. thanks for that…
THATS MY FAVORITE!!!
Nope, the crowd was shoulder, to shoulder this weekend. No, one could move. The videos are outrageous! Also there was a fire in Barn C and the horses escaped...
Was this where they had six bulls escape and they had to be cornered in someone's yard in Northern Rhode Island?
Thats my favorite 😅😅😅 voice change 😂😂😂
Springfield might technically be Western Massachusetts but in reality nobody west of Greenfield thinks that
Everyone here just calls that the Berkshires
For me the Big E is all about a giant bag of Kettle Corn and the circus. At this point in my life, I only need to go every other year.
Thanks for the very informative history. There is just about always something going on at the Big E grounds. I look forward to the Fiber Festival in November, but I've heard the train show is fun, too.
It’s the loaded baked potato for me ❤
Josh, you and your boyfriend are cuties... Next year, when you showcase the Big E, it would be great to do less food, and talk about the whole Agricultural Scene in New England, ie, Animals, Fruits & Vegetables, Crafts, and more...Thanks for all your efforts with this last podcast...
We go there every few years as we live an hour away. About 7 years ago, we bought a hot tub their from Teddy Bear Pools & hot tubs. Still works great. We love the entertainment and the wild rocket jet cars!
yo...... THIS WAS SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i live and work in springfield... i work in Big E, not for, our company lays all the floor mats down everywhere...
the history lesson WAS FUCKIING AWESAOME!!!!! tghis was a GFREAT VIDEO... lived here my whole life and SOO MUCH i didnt know bout BIG E.....
HAAHA THATS MY FASVCORITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LMOA
The first rule of Big E: Hit the wild rides before you fill up on fair food.
Of any amusement park!😅
Tax deductible funtimes
If you were at the Big I hope your went to The both were they were selling safes to protect you belongings and signed the petition to protect the 2nd amendment in Massachusetts. Must be a Massachusetts resident over 18 and registered to vote to sign.
West Springfield is NOT EQUIPPED to handle the Big E traffic. It’s so bad it sometimes takes upwards of an hour to drive the final 2 miles
Can’t tell you how many times I’ve attended this and NEVER knew about the little village. I’m a sucker for colonial recreations, but my buddy hates just about anything that doesn’t have velociraptors. I might just be able to coax him with some maple bacon cupcakes, though!
Yea.......Connecticut State............the Big E is fantastic.....bought some crazy stuff there...thanks for the explore............did you get "recognized" ???
Great video 👍🙂 On a lighter note , I think that was a great day to not skip your carb intake , everything looked so darn tasty 🤤😁 👋🙂🇨🇦
Holy-smoke, what a wonderful video. 😊
I love the big E but the last few years I’ve gone it’s so congested with people you can’t even move! And the traffic is ridiculous 😂
Thank you for this wonderful video! Keep up your excellent work.
i always wondered what our "Storrow Town" logo floor mats belonged to LMOA
As a lifelong resident of Massachusetts I never knew about this fair lol . I live on the south shore along the ocean I guess I gotta venture inland sometime haha
We are home to bloomsburg pa fair u know winter is coming when it ends today
Don’t forget to stop by Danny’s on the side of the Connecticut building. Easily the best baked potato at the Big E.
I just got home from the fair. i live within walking distance.
Thank you for sharing. I have moved here to Mass 5 years ago and have not gone to this Big E.
I've been in Rhody for 25 and only just heard of the Big E a few years ago. Have never gone
But JOSH, you forgot to take me with you.
Luv ya!
So Great to see you Guys together.Have fun at the fair, stay out of the sheep barn.🤔
The Big E is such a "...so yes?" experience
Out of all your online content, this channel is my favorite
Timberline Lodge t shirt, subtle, heyheyhey

I’m going next Sunday the last day
Another Great Video, thank you.
" child friendly gambling " lol.
What no donut burger!? Actually I don't know if they still have it but years ago that was a friend of mines favorite😂
Great video! Thank you for sharing some of the history..... and crazy food! Glad you enjoyed yourself❤
I haven't been there in over 25 years and I live just an hour away. I used to love going as a kid. The state houses were my favorite and I remember lots of mini concerts going on all the time. I was thinking about going this year. Maybe I still will. The maple bacon cupcake looks amazing.
Loving this Josh. Instant subscriber this morning from Australia 🇦🇺
That’s a ways away. Glad you enjoyed :)
Drugal??
Great historical perspectives. Looks like a fun event. Thanks to you and Sam for giving us the food and sights tour and reviews. Great job.
Josh were you ever in the 4H
I wasn’t :/
@Joshopedia never too late to get involved if you're really interested!
You’d have been a natural with you love and curiosity about nature if you were this way as a kid
Nice vid you guys
Thanks for taking us along guys ... I love going to State Fairs.
As a child we would usually go to the Big E every year. It was always a great time.
Making me homesick.
Western MA is calling for you to come home.
Excellent video. Thank you !!
Looks like a good time...and great weather.
♥️❤️♥️
I want a bf like you. 😢
He’s kinda girly but likes to do guy stuff as well, that’s rare….he said at front of video , every girl wants a selfie in front of the big e….l laughed , you can hear his disdain for them in his voice…haha like , god their so boring….I like josh too , I love his videos and info about NE /Massachusetts….this kids really cute and has beautiful eyes..I’d love to find someone like him as well..
Thanks Josh✌️
How fun.. 👍
what is his twitter ?
I was there today. Food is mediocre at best. Over priced and underwhelming. Boardwok noodles was bland and the noodles were half cold. Pickles were ok, I had two hotdogs that were stiff in the middle. Butcher boys was ok. Waaaaay to packed.
Timing is everything on avoiding the crowds, and as far as food goes doing research ahead of time is absolutely necessary
7:54 WHAAAAAAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i did not know that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
