  • Using scene controllers with your Axe-FX III is both simple and powerful. But just what are scene controllers? In this video I explain what scene controllers are and how to use them. We'll even build a simple preset with Axe Edit that uses all 4 scene controllers!

Hey Doug, great vid! Can you tell me how you got to that "quick build" feature? Thank you very much and Rock On Brother!!

You just click on the words ‘quick build’, you can see where it becomes highlighted orange in the video at 4:55. It switches it to that mode.

Hello, excellent video. i have a big question that nobody has been able to answer me. can you help me? do you know if there is a way when you use the expression pedal, for a wah wah for example, when you step on it in addition to activate it, you can exercise a scene change? and when you stop using it, it returns to the previous scene?

Possibly, if you have an expression pedal with a toe switch like a Mission SP1. You can definitely turn the wah on using the toe switch if you have it set up right. Then you'd have to set up a per preset override in FC-Edit using the toe switch as a stand-in switch. Category = Scene, Function = Toggle, and then define what your primary and secondary scenes are. Thanks for asking!

Great video! I would like to ask a question please. I saw that with the 4 channels (ABCD) we can make parameter changes in the amp, right? But among the 8 fc controllers, can I change parameters on up to 8 effect blocks within each scene? I ask because I see many people making changes using blocks.. and scene controllers, but making changes exclusively to the amp. And in my case that I work a lot in the church.. worship.. I would like to know if I can use all 8 fc controllers to change parameters in reverbs.. delays.. among others?

Daniel - thanks! There are 4 scene controllers per preset, and each one of those has 8 parameters (1 for each scene). So you could choose any 4 parameters and have up to 8 different values for each of those parameters. So if you changed one parameter per block via a scene controller, you could change 4 effect blocks. Hope this helps!

Can you use the same block with the same scene controller settings in multiple presets?

Carl - sorry for the late reply. I think that you can do this, because there is, because there is an option to save your scene controller settings in the 'Library' box on the left.
