What is CodeNames?
Let me be the first to say that I think this game is better live so chat can also guess and lose their mind. But I still wanted to post it. Youll like it!
Two teams compete by each having a "spymaster" give one-word clues that can point to multiple words on the board. The other players on the team attempt to guess their team's words while avoiding the words of the other team. In a variant with 2-3 players, one spymaster gives clues to the other player or players.
So the Spy Master of each time will say a word and a number. The word given is the connecting word that relates to OTHER words on the board. The Number given is how many OTHER words on the board it relates to.
First team to guess all of the words without hitting a bomb wins. If you guess an opponent words or a free spot your turn ends and the other team goes
You'll pick it up fast!

There is one, he pulls out a comically large spoon to give to Patrick so they can eat some cereal

The way Jeremy was talked out of potato despite being absolutely right hurt me in every way imaginable.
Oh god, they almost did it for the word cast, too.
To be fair he was talked out of Potato to Cotton from a crop dusting hint. Thats a bit more reasonable than the other one.

I remember watching AH play this game (I think it was AH?) And Jeremy was VERY good at talking himself out of correct answers.

The fact that plot wasn't the first thing that popped into everyone's head on godfather baffles me
It was hilarious that they kept thinking a physical plot and not just the plot of a movie.
I mean spider-man the movie also has a plot so, they missed plot twice

Chilled's facial reactions are great, like finding out you don't need a cast when you get a dislocation
I don't think Cheesy will get to be spymaster for awhile after this one.

Squidward's house isn't Aztec, it's supposed to be an Easter Island head.
Squilliam isnt Squidward's brother. Squilliam's last name is Fancyson, and he and Squidward know each other from band class.
Spongebob has an episode with a giant gumball, an episode where Spongebob and Patrick go back to medieval times (knight & castle link), and Squidward plays the spoons for like two seconds in the Krusty Krab Pizza episode (when Spongebob tries hitchhiking like the pioneers).

When Cheesy said that he chose spoon for SpongeBob because "there must have been one in there somewhere" the rage that flooded through me... guys... I knew spoon was one of them. From the moment I saw it I knew it was one. Not because "there must have been one in there somewhere" but because of the _song!_ "It's just a grill, it's just a greasey _spoon_ ... Without you..." So now I have that snippet of song stuck in my head, and I'm mad. Thanks Cheesy!

Ngl when Cheesy put "The Godfather - Infinite" and I saw "Bee" on there, my mind INSTANTLY went "Cheesy thinks Ray Liotta was in The Godfather even though he was in Goodfellas" (Since Ray Liotta was in the Bee Movie)
Cheesy himself may have counted as one for Spongebob, since much like Patrick, the inner machinations of his mind are an enigma.
I feel like this is a social experiment for the feeling of irony, a.k.a. the type of irony where you know what’s going on and you see other people who don’t go through the motions
Yall forgot about the entire episode of Spongebob where him and Patrick stole a balloon. A classic. To me Balloon would have made sense.
The fact that balloon wasnt one, when one of the memable episodes was highly focused on the fact that they stole a balloon is impressive oversight. That being said i also cant believe that everyone forgot about "you stole a balloon on free balloon day" cause thats the same episode as "you stole my chocolate and now im gonna starve"

Balloon- What Spongebob and Patrick stole before they wanted to live out their lives as hoodlums (in the episode where Patrick says "You ate my only food, now I'm gonna starve")
Whistle- Not only the intro but Spongebob as Hall Monitor had a whistle.
Basically Cheesy really screwed them when it came to Spongebob.
I was just thinking how I wanted this game to come back. Please play more of this! It's so fun!

Junk's clues were ABSOLUTELY solid!! A great attempt though.
Spongebob was the perfect hint for spoon and I'm going to 5d big brain explain how. Chilled was once apart of the gaming group called "The Creatures", who else was apart of that same group? Sp00n. Now The Creatures has a Minecraft series, and what was sp00n's Minecraft skin? A pineapple, and who lives in a pineapple under the sea? Spongebob goddamn square pants.
I do think if it wasn't Jeremy who hasn't seen movies you might've gotten Dryer and Cricket with Noisy. Dryers are noisy, and Noisy Cricket is a thing. The little powerful weapon in MiB.

I started watching your videos about a year ago. I lost my mother to cancer a month ago and your videos have helped me to laugh and remember that there is still joy to life. I just wanted to thank you. Keep doing what your doing.

As far as SpongeBob and balloons there was the national free balloon day where Spongebob and Patrick stole a balloon as well as the Rock Bottom episode where SpongeBob misses the bus after going to Glove World and constantly try’s to wait for a bus but misses it each time.
I watched this live mainly from Junk's perspective, I've been waiting to see this first match from Chilled perspective - see him react to Cheesy knowing what the cards are.
Side note: Junk went Chinese Zodiac thinking of it as a Proper Noun, and it didn't make a difference anyways - it only differentiated scorpion and Jeremy dove for that anyways.
There is that episode where squidward got the spoon/fork stuck in his throat so cheesy wasn't too far off LMAO
The Spongebob one is rough...
Spoon - spongebob works in a restaurant
Rat - you can call sandy a rat
Rust - the chumbucket has rust
Knight/castle - there was that episode or movie where everyone was in the past for some reason
Brush, pillow, and ladder - spongebob's morning/nightly habits of leaping into bed.
Balloon - glove-land and the bubble episodes+the inflatable arms
Change - spongebob was sold for some change
Whistle - spongebob 'cursing' and then there is the class patrol thing where he had a whistle (he is just standing there... Menacingly!)
Aztec - squidward's house
Pearl - the character
Groom - spongebob dressed up in a fancy suit once.
Pizza - crusty crab pizza~
Captain - "aye aye captain!"
Gum - I know there was an episode where he had to clean gum or something and also there was an episode where he thought plankton was gum on his shoe. Then there is also another episode where someone has half-chewed gum as a friend.
....the only ones that im not sure about are scorpion and Ham but if you want to get real technical about it...
Ham - is a weapon in one of the Spongebob games.

For some reason when looking at the Spongebob guesses I kept thinking spoon and not sure why. I laughed when it turned out it was one of the words. I think I thought of it from the episode when he and Patrick are trying to get into the Salty Spittoon, and for some reason my brain shortened it to spoon lol.
