I have two of these at my school. The third lift is a brand new ecodisc with the new voice it’s really nice because I managed to get a lift pass to use them!
Don't forget that the "5500 voice" (Asian voice) was designed for international markets where the "lift" or "elevator" question is unclear. Schindler obviously assumed these countries would use "elevator". Also, only some Asian 3300s use up/down annoucements, and some don't even use the Asian voice; two 3300s in Australia with FIGS so far have used the British voice with no directionals.
thats the same in the uk. It is to do with accessibility as you cant feel where the buttons are. with destination dispatch, you have a separate input mode for disabled users.
Nice one Beno! I don't mind 3300s they work even if they aren't the most interesting lift. I wish someone still made a worm drive lift for awesome motor sound!
I wish that lift companies intentionally made lifts with 400Hz VVVF pulsing @0-50Hz output frequency like on a lot of ILE mods Ben has filmed previously
After thinking about it, I don't think you can necessarily say that there are Mk1 and Mk2 fixtures. I have Schindler's latest brochure for the 3300 and it gives you the choice of both the glass panel fixtures (capacitive) and the non-capacitive FIGS fixtures (which you say are Mk2 in this video). It's basically you can choose which fixture line you wish to use for your lift, but I do think that FIGS was introduced later, although due to what I said above, I don't think they can be identified as Mk1 and Mk2.
mk1 and mk2 is nothing to do with if it is capacitive. mk1 is the bodged buttons which they designed quickly when some countries banned the capacitive buttons. The updated buttons have a different button press
Unless what you call the Mk1 buttons have been discontinued in countries where the capacitive buttons were banned, then both can still be installed today. Schindler's latest brochure still has both buttons available
2:08 Serious message to Jimwoodward1212 and Joe’s Bus/Train/Plane/Lift Adventures, Swagboi900 and Francis2005 who keep on saying “change elevators”. But in all honesty, Jim used that term for around 9 years, and I think he should use the new term which is “change lifts”. Same goes for Joe’s Bus/Train/Plane/Lift Adventures
I think there’s more than you think. H&M, use those mark 1 panels. I know one which is currently out as the shop is closed. I think they are still being installed, although H&M seem to use Schindler or Kone it varies. I have seen a lot of these so they might not be prototypes.
Schindler 3300 Mark 1 is for me completely not modern for shopping centres, more to apartment blocks, estates or hotels (also I think the same with Schindler Smart). I think Schindler 3300 Mark 2 and all Schindler 3300 with touch buttons are both to shopping centres, apartment blocks and estates (but I like the best Schindler 5500, not because of the motor, only because of cabin's design, also the same for me with 3300). I have near shopping center with 1 Schindler lift (other are Kone), and it's 3300 Mark 2 from 2018. Also I have near my home hotel with Schindler 5500 with touch buttons. I really rarely ride Schindlers (without 3300 in my nearest shopping center). As I remember, the last time when I was riding 5500 was in the new shopping center in my country, the last time I was riding 3300 (not my nearest) was in the hotel in Katowice, Poland (there are touch buttons) from 2010 and the last time I was riding Eurolift was in Plac Wilsona subway station.
Why where the capacitive buttons banned? The look so nice and aesthetically pleasing... But I can imagine them to be a usability disaster just like modern touch screen phones. I hate those, nothing beats good physical buttons from a usability perspective. I bet they are not compliant with accessibility standards for disabled people, a blind person wouldn't be able to use them. The chasis, well as a structural engineer I look at this as an innovation. They managed to make the cab structure lighter which can be a benifit for the energy consumption of the lift. Also they use the materials more efficiently. Of couse it should not give the user a feeling of beeing in a flimsy tin-can box. The rigidity is very important but that is not difficult to achieve with folded sheet metal if it has profiles and sufficient folded edges. The doors look very shoddy, like cheap Wittur doors. That's one thing with modern lifts in general and the lift industry admit it them selves but it's because the owners cheap out by specifying the cheapest door option anvailible. Even in a rugged envoirnment, the builders specify the cheapest option, they don't care about the increased maintaince and service that it gives.
Blind people can't feel them. However, as a ADDEs Transporting Adventures! mentioned above, some countries ban these capacitive buttons but allow touchscreen destination dispatch, which is rather paradoxical.
I’m pretty sure I’ve seen more than just a 2 3300s on UA-cam (even including some of your videos I believe) that have the Schindler Smart voice. Mostly @ some H&M stores. If I find a video I’ll put it on here.
I HAVE THIS LIFT IN MY VILLAGE’S NEW MEMORIAL CENTRE! Except the button is cleaner, it is a different type of button (Edit: I mean both buttons, inside the lift ad call buttons)
I've seen it in your Epsom Flats lift tour, the lift with the * taking you to a staff only floor in Sutton and I believe there is one somewhere in your Eastfield Lift Tour series

TheDragonFire123 elevator is kind of international English and lift is more of a British English thing
Sweden is weird as the capacitive buttons are banned but touch screen destination dispatch seems legit.

In my friends house there's a Schindler 3300 with capacitive buttons - they are so cool!
:O ONE OF THE STIG'S COUSINS TALKS :O

In Czechia there are normal buttons and capacative buttons. Although capacative are very rare since they were more expensive than normal buttons.

Gotta love them new videos, can’t wait to watch it 😄
First 3300's have is door drive varidor 30 ?
Schindler 3300 mkweird has DMG buttons and pre doors. I filmed a mkweird and you can find the video on my channel.

However, they use Fermator doors. 5500 use Sematic doors. EuroLift and 5400 use either own, Sematic or Wittur doors.
Do Fermator or Sematic doors break down more?
Looks like rs232 ports inside the Controller would be interesting to connect a terminal Emulator up to that and see if anything Comes up

Hey Ben,
what are the rolls at the bottom of the in car panel that say A B C D for?
They are key switches but I don't know what they do.
probably things like car preference and maybe secret floors if it had any
@@ZZ9ProductionsOFFICIAL In Australia the Fire Service keyswitch is on those rolls.
Please do a detailed look at a 1st gen EcoDisc next
@Choices3401 do you understand how time works?
Why the nice modern glowing buttons were banned? We have them in Poland
Blind people can't feel them.
However, as a ADDEs Transporting Adventures! mentioned above, some countries ban these capacitive buttons but allow touchscreen destination dispatch, which is rather paradoxical.
yeah that is rather strange
JejeX Can confirm, at least at Arkadia, in Warsaw.
There are some Mark 1 Schindler 3300s that have a slower door open and close speed.
I’m pretty sure I’ve seen more than just a 2 3300s on UA-cam (even including some of your videos I believe) that have the Schindler Smart voice. Mostly @ some H&M stores. If I find a video I’ll put it on here.

*i think there is a prototype in H&M in Leicester, because the voice sounds the same, might not be tho*
2:06 they use that same voice on 5500's in America. And they're called elevators here. lol.
It's got 7-segment indicator and the beep sound like the KONE 1st generation EcoDiscs.
Mark 1 3300 have FI GL fixtures and Mark 2 have FI GS fixtures ;)
I've seen several Mk1 3300s with that voice in your older videos so I'm guessing that it was a choice for the Mk1 if you didn't want the 3300 voice
Are you sure? I only remember these with the 5500 voice (which sounds very similar if you only hear the floor messages)
I've seen it in your Epsom Flats lift tour, the lift with the * taking you to a staff only floor in Sutton and I believe there is one somewhere in your Eastfield Lift Tour series
Unless the lift in this video is the same one as the one in the Epsom Flats lift surfing tour then you have been in a few more than you think. :P
we want intelligent leveling.
2:06 Elevator going up voice.
1:10 why banned in uk.?
Not all 3300 have intelligent leveling. The one in Emmen at a restaurant has 2 speed leveling
What video editor do u use?
