Great interview. The Rumleys are Late Model Royalty. Kevin is awesome talent and great communication. Kyle is fun to watch no matter what he drives and is bringing his fans with him.
That is one of the Best Interviews I have seen! Great Questions! Great Information and learning History, Present and Future of Longhorn. Thank You Very Much Justin! And Kevin Rumley!
While I feel as if most of K. Rumley’s answers were fairly canned Public relations comments, and I understand that as his relationships require a certain amount of Restraint, it is always great to hear whatever a guy like Rumley has to say. And, thank you Justin for posting this. Interviews from folks in the racing industry are always welcome and enlightening.
Great interview that was awesome you have a new subscriber with me! I grew up watching dirt racing since I was 5 years old Cherokee speedway is my home track, me and my dad have always pulled for anybody that drove Rumley's cars we are both big fans of Kevin and his dad Leroy they always have been very good at adjusting their cars to what the driver is feeling. 2015 was a hell of a year I've never seen such a dominating season when davenport drove for them we loved that car it had a badass look I remember when they used to have that saw blade on the side of it that was so cool that always stuck out to me I liked that. Billy Hicks drove it then Petey Ivey drove it some, there are plenty more as well, were fans of Kyle Larson too he's he's definitely a wheelman my dad is 61 years old and said he's never seen a better driver than Larson!
For that last 45 years I have been a sprint car/ Midget guy and couldn't care less about late models. But in the last couple years of watching your show and Flo I have learned a lot and found late models fascinating. I still think the cars are ugly as hell but it has been fun following all the interesting aspects of late models and their drivers. Thank you for this segment it has provided a wealth of knowledge
BEEN KNOWING KEVIN SINCE HE WAS IN THE PITS WITH HIS GENIUS DADDY , LEROY , KEVIN WAS BOUT KNEE HIGH,‼️ KEVIN IS A GENIUS ON DIRT LATE MODELS , THE APPLE DON'T FALL THAT FAR FROM THE TREE ‼️ WHEN THE #6 UNLOADS AT THE TRACK IT'S READY TO GO RACIN ‼️ I HAVE ALWAYS PULLED FOR THE #6 ♥️‼️ VERY GOOD FAMILY KEVIN COMES FROM , ALL GREAT FAMILY ‼️ VERY PROUD OF LEROY , KEVIN AND THE FAMILY ‼️
My gosh how many Saturday nights in the 80’s I spent at 311 speedway watching some of the best in the business wheeling the Rumley cars! Donald and Ray Tucker, Bennie Davis etc.! And this team goes back to the early 70’s or later! Anyone that looks at Minnesota Max’s UA-cam channel featuring “old school race cars” has seen many examples of early Rumley cars! I love the history part of all this stuff! Great vid!
In the Dirt Racing world, Who wouldn’t love to get inside of this guys mind & learn some of what he knows about DLM’s. Guy is an absolute freaking genius…
I remember when people like Hot Rod drove the Race Car and Billy Hicks and Ray Tucker drove it. Back in the early 90s at The BIG 1/2 Mile. Cherokee Speedway. The Best Track in the Country. But now you could not pay me to go there now. And watch a race. But back in the day. It was Leroy Rumley The 6 looked like a Saw Blade. And the Race Car all way's Rumbled when it came by. Was that Kevin's Dad or Uncle. Thanks for the great interview.
Are you able to purchase the shock package from him?bilstein?or longhorn? And how much.I don’t know if Kyle searching for bite and lines on a track should be called mistakes. Lol
Great interview. Most on here don’t understand the skill needed to get an engineer to speak with more than one sentence at a time 😂. I think I know now why Longhorn is 14-0. I imagine Rocket is wayyy behind . Unless they have an R&D car/driver on Kevin’s/Kyle’s level they will not catch up.
I UNDERSTAND YOUR COMPASSION.BUT I DON'T THINK IT'S ABOUT KYLE LARSON.. IT THE SMARTEST PERSON WITH ANYTHING ABOUT A RACE CAR.. THE MAIN MAN KEVIN RUMLEY ????
Great interview. The Rumleys are Late Model Royalty. Kevin is awesome talent and great communication. Kyle is fun to watch no matter what he drives and is bringing his fans with him.
Kevin is one of the smartest guys in racing , and he’s proven that over and over .
This is a awesome interview with Kevin Rumley very smart young man.
Great interview all around! Love hearing the genius that is K Rumley.

That was a great interview. Your questions were spot on and delivered very informative answers!
Great spokesman for the sport. We all should be very appreciative of the Rumleys giving all of us a chance to watch Kyle.
Thanks Justin! Great interview. Finally someone ask him how Larson and rumley got together

I wish I knew 1/2 of what Kevin knows about chassis , shocks and setups
It was a shame Manzanita was done away I enjoyed LM Cheesboug,Trimmer especially when they had the LM Chompionship like your videos
Kevin comment about other watching is true. Don’t waste time copying someone else take that effort into your own program.
Put someone in the car to give ‘em a shot, Kyle can find his own dirt cars
Do Bobby and Terry still own a piece of longhorn?
Listen to the video bud the answer is right there.
@@JJ-1-1 sorry I must’ve missed it.. but thanks for the smart ass answer instead of a simple yes or no 🤡
Rocket used to have the Market cornered not anymore.....
If we can gain there trust enough
Who builds Kyle Larsons engines? Pretty sure it’s not Hendricks.
Clements or Durham
Clements off how Leroy did them
@@joshpitts7256 can you elaborate?
The K&L Rumley car runs Cornett racing engines.
@@BigTader thanks man
Tim McCreadie wont even help his team car, how can he help anyone else?
I still believe the droop rule is bullshit
Good and smart guy but all of his answers were very political

Kevin takes after his dad Leroy in picking the greatest drivers they ran at my local track for a long time
