    *Works great with **Fastly.Cool** , exactly as described. Love the fact that it can push, pull, or exchange air with the push of a button. The remote is a nice bonus too!*

    It's not as powerful as I thought it would be, but it works very well. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxGjG43--gYqIoT4Xkur2PqCrtbKwTv2h6 There are three options to circulate air, and best of all a remote control for us lazy people. Installation was a breeze (no pun intended). It actually took longer to open the box then it did putting the side extenders on and sitting it in the window opening. It's a perfect alternative when you want airflow, but not the AC. Just might order another one for a different room. UPDATE: Bought another one like I said. They work great. Why not have two...

    I have a shed with no windows only a door but even with a door theres no air flow inside just hot air all the time. Can I install one of these to push hot air out and one to pull cool air in? Would that work since there no windows? Thanks!

      My garage does not have any windows either. Later in the video, I showed you the air intake hole. You need both intake and outtake to dry out the garage. Also, you want another fan that churns air within the garage. (I have a floor fan that pushes moist air from the ground into the ceiling, where it gets sucked out via the wall fan.

    Thx for sharing. Great DIY video. What is the proper name of the edge trim that you were cutting out? Can I get this at Lowes or HD? Thx

      I got at a store called Menards. But It should be this one. www.homedepot.com/p/Ply-Gem-5-8-in-x-1-1-2-in-x-12-6-ft-White-J-Channel-VJC58104H/202666289
      It is called Vinyl Siding Edge Trim. There may be different sizes.

    Looks good; you may wish to consider:
    On the top section of trim; cut another section with an extra inch on each end; so you can cut off the front and back face section, leaving the inner rung of the trim and leave a tab that you will bend down over the inside of the left and right sides of the trim; it will cause the upper water to drain into the left and right side sections of trim; instead of pouring down inside; which will destroy the wood and grow some very nasty black mold.
    There is also some very cool material called: "Blue Skin" you can used to seal the wood from water damage; very easy stuff to work with; like huge sections of vinyl tape.
    I used to do roofing & siding & trim back when I wa a teenager; it would be the same way when you trim out a window; for an added measure of controlling water flow; the left and right side trim sections should have an extra 1/2 to 1 inch tab folded over the inner rung of the bottom section.
    Peace

      Thanks WX2. But the dryness keeps any possibility of mold. I also use another fan inside to blast directly into any wet area during spring thaw.

    I need to install a similar vent but noticed you didn't nail the trim to the wall. Will this hold against heavy winds?

    • @ujaekang
      @ujaekang  3 роки тому

      It is holding pretty well. I did put screws to secure the fan to the wall. Also I put some glue to the intake vent as well. Put some "Great Stuff" or other glues to secure it if you would like to.

    Do the shutters prevent the cold air from coming in during the winter?

    • @ujaekang
      @ujaekang  3 роки тому +1

      Well it is unheated garage. In Minnesota avoiding snow and wind is objective. Not keeping it warmer.

    Hi Ujae Kang - how many degrees lower are garage temperatures after install? Why did you install two vents? Thanks..

    • @ujaekang
      @ujaekang  4 роки тому +3

      Hi Pat, The temperature came down quite a bit, but I am not sure since I didn't measure. However the biggest difference is the humidity level. Since the Garage was half underground, it was always wet and sometimes puddle on the floor. Not anymore with this fan. You can make one vent, but amount of air the fan pushes out so enormous, you will have to have almost an open hole. So two with those weather shielding air intake would do the job.

    Gives overview of what to do. The person taking the video is too shaky and you should haves explained what steps you were taking.
