Psalm 133 vers 1, 2 en 3 met samenzang door Gert van Hoef op het Blank-orgel in de Hervormde Kerk te Uddel.
1.
Ai, ziet, hoe goed, hoe lieflijk is 't, dat zonen
Van 't zelfde huis, als broeders samen wonen,
Daar 't liefdevuur niet wordt verdoofd;
't Is als de zalf op 's Hogepriesters hoofd,
De zalf, waarmee hij is aan God gewijd,
Die door haar reuk het hart verblijdt.
2.
Die liefdegeur moet elk tot liefde nopen,
Als d' olie, die, van Arons hoofd gedropen,
Zijn baard en klederzoom doortrekt;
Z' is als de dauw, die Hermons kruin bedekt,
Die Sions top met vruchtbaar vocht besproeit,
En op zijn bergen nedervloeit.
3.
Waar liefde woont, gebiedt de Heer' den zegen:
Daar woont Hij Zelf, daar wordt Zijn heil verkregen,
En 't leven tot in eeuwigheid.

Mooi improvisatie voor de samenzang Gert, ook toen had je al alles onder controle Gert. Nu, 7 jaar later, is het nog meer geworden en heb je veeeele volg(st)ers.
Ik heb er van genoten en ook wat mee kunnen zingen.

Ihre Variationen sind fantasiereich, gekonnt und dynamisch vorgetragen. Was an Ihrem Spiel immer wieder fasziniert sind die Tempobeschleunigungen, z.B.: 04:14 .
Doch dem Gesang lassen sie Raum. Das ergibt eine aufbauende Spannung verteilt über das ganze Stück.

That's exactly the time (2014) Gert and his best friend Jan were happiest. It's also the time Gert reached his best ever, as an organist as well as an artist and a great human being.

Even on a 2-manual organ Gert van Hoef really brings a piece alive! The coughing person should have just have the politeness to leave themselves. I don't know how you could stay in a church where an expert musician is playing an organ and keep on coughing, oblivious to the annoying effect you're having on people quietly listening. It ain't that hard to walk out for a few minutes.

+winniebago135 Putting a handkerchief over your mouth when you cough reduces the volume from FF to PP. Why doesn't every concert goer know this? I saw it in a programme once but never since. Personally I don't think anybody with a cough should even go to a concert, especially one that is being recorded. Have some consideration.

@@dannieto1453 Nothing wrong with being 'exclusivist' when it comes to drowning out music with coughing/spluttering. Just piss 'em off, they can come back later when they're better. Unless they've got deadly TB, no-one in the West gives a shit about what's wrong with them, except they wreck every concert they're at.

Why does the congregation wait a whole beat before singing? Each time Gert drops the chord for the start of the phrase theres a huge pause before the congregation join in.

Il est payé combien l'assistant ? Ils nous refont le coup de l'assistance qui chante.
Wat een trage inzetten van de gemeente zeg. Gert, jouw eerste ingezette toon niet wachten maar doorspelen. Ook tussen de regels doortellen, inzetten en daarna de eerste toon niet wachten tot ze eindelijk komen maar doorspelen. Je zult versteld staan hoe snel ze dat leren en doorhebben. Neem een voorbeeld aan organisten als Gerben Budding en Sietze de Vries.
Dat moet je niet doen.
De eerste lettergreep wordt niet gezongen. Dat is zonde...
Niels, misschien is het boekje "Organist in de praktijk" iets voor jou.
Lord, how I loathe congregational singing. There are times when musical democracy is turgid beyond belief.

James Martin When searching for organ pieces on UA-cam I have never typed in 'congregational singing'.
Suffering from perfect pitch I gave up organ studies after 11 years as painfully out of tune congregations made my teeth stand on end - still does. I'd rather listen to someone running their fingernails down a blackboard.
However, a well trained choir rendering an anthem/cantata can be a joy. Sadly, since the Lutheran revolution introduced musical democracy into services such is a rare event.
Granted though, scripture does tell us to "Make a joyful NOISE unto the Lord".
Just keep dwelling in your high church & undemocratic musically place (palace) then...
