Wonder why these guys didn’t make it ? Great song writers and musicians .... must have had some kind if issue with drugs or something especially when they opened for a mega act like creed
Not druggies. I played quite a few shows with these guys when they were Wanton Rut in B'Ham in the early 90's. As a fellow drummer I was friendly with JD and I don't recall these guys doing anything more than toking out occasionally like all the other bands did. It was because as good as the debut was, it didn't sell and Atlantic didn't push it very hard. After that US tour w/ Creed, Brett had gotten in good with Stapp and he had to take the opportunity presented to him as bassist.
They were dropped by Atlantic for cost-cutting when the markets tanked after 9/11. www.orlandosentinel.com/news/os-xpm-2002-02-27-0202260411-story.html
@@morebeer7673 There is some more to it as well. There is a reason they did a reunion and Brett wasn't a part of it and also why Brett is the only one to go on and do anything else of any significance. Brett is a great guy and amazing talent (and was the talent).
Thank you for this. If somebody owns this album, they are welcome in my home anytime.
David Rispoli I’ll be over Friday... 🤘🏻

My band opened for them in Louisville and they rocked the 10 people there. They were soooooo good
An Orlando, FL music scene legend.
Which is funny because they're from Birmingham.
They played Orlando alot! Wjrr was good to them. They were great. Doubledrive was from Atlanta, but they were Orlando music legends as well.
@@michaelbaluta9910 Doubledrive....yes! They were both ahead of the curve when they hit.

From shat I gather, it was financial, plus Brett went to play Bass for Creed for a short time to get money flowing.

The makeup, contacts and outfits were stupid. The music was great.
