@@MirandaLemons In June or July Magic the Gathering will be printing a Final Fantasy set, so in June Magic will be the best FF card game :p. Until then IX is the best. Unfortunately most seem to have a hard time making it past the steep learning curve of the odd stat behavior, so it was poorly received by the player base. This has a bias about how people feel about the game in general. Triple Triad has a much more simplistic stat battle manipulation and thus is a much more user friendly experience. Most will say TT is better. Tetra Master is more difficult to learn but rewards your skillful plays with favored RNG. TT in general has more practical uses in your overall experience of FFVIII. So TT is probably better but Getting good at TM makes you feel like you've accomplished something difficult.
When you numbers are all zeros then the best you could hope to beat are opponents with no more than 2 to maybe 3s for defense. If you have to go against opponents with 4s or better in their stats you will likely never win those battles. Battling with cards can improve their numbers slowly and potentially earn them additional arrows and even change their "letter" stats.
Lol at your laugh finding it's like a coin flip. I swear I've had E-attack power cards lose to 0-attack power cards... You can't get anymore mad than when I got mad at that.
I dont understand why so many people struggle with this game. Triple Triad was much more frustrating. Yes there is some randomness to it. But stats matter. If you just want to breeze through it for the card tournament then just make a hard save before you play so you dont risk losing.
Not gonna lie. Watching you struggle this bad didnt inspire confidence. You could earn powerful cards without having to play a SINGLE game of cards if you do the chocobo hunt treasure finder. Lol if doing that is too much, well at least you only have to win like two or three games to win tournament.
This is the opening of the game, 10 minutes in, assuming no game play of Tetra Master and the viewer doesn't care to progress. I understand if I don't inspire confidence. 😅 It is only the basics of the basics.
I must come off as such a sweaty try hard. The first part of the game isnt supposed to be difficult. Most of the NPCs in the early game do not have good cards to compete against the player. Your video was great. That's why I commented. I was just trying to point out that the randomness isn't that random. Sorry for being THAT guy.
What is the best Final Fantasy card game in your opinion?
Triple Triad
