I was asked to stop preaching to Hindus by progressive/woke/NAR leaders. I was invited to preach at a Christmas event, mainly Hindus were invited. I preached and the “Christian” leadership was angry as I said what Isaiah said. But, I preached from Revelation. People hate to hear that all other “gods” are false.
This was my 13 minute sermon - I was told, “people in the audience wanted to kill you for what you preached”. I was told that I should have said Jesus was love, only. I was told these Hindus now don’t want to hear about Jesus, because you said their gods were false and powerless. This is a real thing.
That’s what happens when man wants to control time, space, his own destiny. Isaiah 44:14-17 He cut down cedars, or perhaps took a cypress or oak. He let it grow among the trees of the forest, or planted a pine, and the rain made it grow. It is used as fuel for burning; some of it he takes and warms himself, he kindles a fire and bakes bread. But he also fashions a god and worships it; he makes an idol and bows down to it. Half of the wood he burns in the fire; over it he prepares his meal, he roasts his meat and eats his fill. He also warms himself and says, “Ah! God’s sovereignty is much more powerful and wise than any Calvinist has ever contemplated. I’m sorry, but the definition of sovereignty is not the micromanagement of rogue molecules. ☦️🍞🍷
The criticism of Arminianism reveals a slight misunderstanding. The Calvinist believes God is sovereign over time but still confines God _to_ time. Arminians believe, however, that God exists _outside_ of time. It's not a matter of Him seeing what will happen in His future and then decreeing it. He sees all of time laid out before Him because He has decreed that certain things will happen in _our_ timeline. He also allows us freedom to make choices and knows that those choices will not interfere with His decrees. When a free choice does interfere with His decree, we see that He intervenes. For example, God decreed that Pharoah would let the Israelites go free. However, Pharoah would never choose to free the Israelites on his own, so God intervened by sending Moses, as well as the plagues, which forced Pharoah to make the decision he didn't want to make. But during that time Pharoah made many other decisions that had no impact on God's sovereign decree to release the Israelites. He acted as king, judge, father, priest, etc. So God transcends time, He is not bound by time and need to "see into the future" so He can decree something that would have happened anyway. This is a misrepresentation on Dr. White's part.
Before he sent Moses he told him he wasn’t going to let them go and He’d Harden pharaohs heart though. I’m not a Calvinist or an Arminian just a Christian by faith in Christ. But the text speaks and God had given His word through men of His choice.
God's "sovereignty over time" is an absurd notion. God did not create a random universe. Rather it is organized by the laws that the Almighty created and then set in motion. God oversees the expansion of the universe and, occasionally, He has altered the movement of the earth but He does not typically run time backwards and forwards, speeding it up and slowing it down as He wills. Although God has not ordained that the universe run randomly neither is Heoutside all the motion, separated in a timeless dimension in which there is no progression or resolution of His divine plan of redemption? Without time there would be no Days of Creation, no progressive revelation of God. Without the succession of events Jesus could never complete the passion, be resurrected and ascend to heaven and re-create the cosmos. Without time, movement and change everything would be frozen. The Son would remain forever be on His cross of shame and humiliation, the Father would be forever forsaking Him. Without time and change our sins would never be forgiven and we could never be reconciled to God.
James I just listened to an old video re sovereignty wherein you discounted child rape as a non-issue with God. I have prosecuted child rape and watched live child interviews in a safe house wherein the child recounts the situation. Your answer was despicable and thoughtless. Even God thinks so. The sovereignty of God is a straw man. Find sovereignty in the scriptures, the word is not there. It is the foundation for an errant doctrine that challenges the righteousness of God.

Their sinful acts are mandated by God. I believe this error can be debunked with just one verse, “But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.”
I’m afraid you are off track somehow. Galatians 2:17 is discussing justification through faith and not works. The Jews of Paul’s time were convinced that salvation came from obedience to the law. It was a hard concept for them to grasp when Jesus taught that salvation was through faith alone and not works. The Jews were concerned that if they released their long held idea that God judged based on obedience to the law, and instead believed that justification was by faith alone, that wouldn’t that mean that Jesus was leading them in to sin in some backhanded “it’s ok to sin” sort of way? The answer was No! Mankind are sinners whether they try to be obedient to the law or if they believe in justification by faith alone - either way we are sinners - so God is again explaining that justification is by faith, not works. This verse doesn’t really have anything to do with sovreignty.
You don't understand God's divine attributes because you can't. Before you (a mere man and full of sin and darkness) begin to ascribe or remove attributes of an infinite and holy God so that you "feel" better, understand that you need to repent.
If He's not in control of everything, then it is illogical for God to command men to repent and to demand worship for sending His son, if He didn't do anything but send the Son. But if God did do something, then we have every reason to worship Him for what HE HAS DONE. Also for the record, if you deny that God is sovereign over everything, that means God got lucky when He just happened to find people like the Romans that are evil enough to crucify Jesus. However you're not going to convince me that the Roman officers and the Jews of that day can stand before God and blame Him for what they did, because it was their wicked actions from their wicked hearts that led them to the crucifixion of Jesus.
