Rest In Peace Ms Afeni and Pac🙏🏽🙏🏽👼🏽👼🏽
I know
🙏🏽💕🙏🏽
😢❤
this was filmed when he was in jail .. this was off the me against the world album , and yes that was his real mom .. she passed a few years ago as well .
@@JackReacts904 his dad actually still alive, he's just dead 2 Pac
@@kelseydortch797 His dad is alive but that is not what he meant in the song he thought someone else was his dad that passed at that time but that was incorrect.
I think she died in 2014 right ? 😢🤔
@@senaith8909 2016 i think
@@seyl717 yes , I just looked again you are right ... I couldn't imagine loosing my child like this 😬
For me pac made the greatest songs in hip hop history
Facts!!!
Can you imagine what he would have accomplished if he was still here? Look how much he did in a pretty short amount of time. Imagine if Biggie and him were still here, and made an album together, that would have been magic.
Dear momma, was nominated for an academy award. Tupac was the first rapper to be nominated.. He made history.. [people forget that he was the first rapper to do so]
Queen Afeni Shakur was a pioneer, and was once in The Black Panthers. 2Pac got lot of her traits, and she raised 2Pac very well even through the struggles. His integrity, charm, mannerism, and conviction he has learn from his mother, because she was inspirational through her time with the Panthers. May they Rest In Peace.
FACTS!!!! the most extraordinary woman in the world to me...she is my queen.....after you have lost your father!!! your mother is both parents even thought you are grown.....You only get ONE MOTHER!!!
I’m a 75 yr old white lady. I love music of all kind and words really affect me. Not a huge fan of rap, but every once in a while one comes along that touches me to the core. This is one of those.
You hit the nail in the head. Eminem described why 2pac is the GOAT by saying that 2pac always knew when to say the right word at the right time. This song is a testiment to that.
People don't understand. U can be the #1 freestyler in the world and can't make a hit. U can be one of the top mc's in the world but have a hard time making hits. This man made hits in his sleep. He were in jail when this was made
You betta preach. Some still not gonna understand smh.
💯💯💯💯💯💯
You explained it perfectly. That's why his music is timeless
He was locked up and this album was #1 in the nation, also he's the first artist to have a #1 album while in prison
Fun fact, Pac was the first artist in history to have his song go #1 on the charts while in prison. This is pre death row era Pac when he was at his most introspective and imo at his best.
Yes, that's his real mom. Her name was Afeni Shakur
He was locked up
Pac had something special.
The chorus was sampled from the Spinners (Sadie).
The sample was actually by Joe Sample- In All My Wildest Dreams
Pac is a Gemini like me! Completely poetic soul. he saw the world for what it was and was dedicated to changing it.
Gemini are very articulated and intelligent.
Geminis are very bipolar and creative Cancers aren’t like that they are Creative but that’s all
Afeni was an amazing woman and that is why Pac was so exceptional. He was raised by a queen. RIP Queen Afeni. Happy Mothers Day.
Yes that’s his mother the late great Afeni Shakur. She got locked up due to her involvement with the black panthers, but got acquitted right before Tupac was born. She was a fighter for black power just like Pac he gained so much knowledge from her. She got hooked on drugs in the 80’s the crack epidemic started in the mid 80’s. She got better over time though & made sure Tupac’s legacy lived on until she died a few years ago.
"I finally understand for a woman it ain't easy trying to raise a man" best line right there. This song is autobiographical and shows the journey of their relationship from broken to Mended to ride 'till he died. Beautiful.
This is the most well-spoken reaction I've ever heard. Kudos to you young man.
I don't think it's a coincidence one of his most quotable lines or adlibs was "FEEL ME!" U R SO CORRECT. NO ONE..... NO ONE MAKES U FEEL LIKE PAC. PERIOD!
Tupac was born june 16th 1971 the day we got a present from heaven...💔
Now that I'm 46, and my Mom is 72, tears flow now listening to "Dear Mama". I loved it when I was younger and it came out, but at my age now and my Mom's age now, this song hits different and harder. She was always there for me and my 3 siblings, she still is, and she gave us everything she could, and worked her ass off to do so. As a single Mom myself to a 21 year old daughter, I know I've worked my ass off to do the same for her, and I love her more than words can say, I'd die for her, she's my best friend, we are so close. I hope the lyrics in this song reflect how my daughter feels about me, I can only pray that's the case. I love you so much Mom, and I love you my daughter, my heart, Sage Crystal Ramirez. ❤
Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers today is your day
His father name is Billy Garland. Also a black panther still alive.
This was not made after his death. His label pit this out when he was behind bars. He had the number one album out even when he was locked up before Suge bailed him out
2 pac the GOAT😊
You’re right! Tupac was the GOAT! His lyrics were so real, he was a modern day poet! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Pac is the best all around people that say he’s not the best this or best that just didn’t hear enough of his music...His lyrics, flow, cadence and delivery are masterful...
thats his real mom - Afeni Shakur, she died in 2016; this was released in feb 1995 so a year or so before he died
Best mother song
Pac was a Julliard alumni , a super smart individual, no wonder he's lyrics were gold
It's crazy to think Pac's mom was in jail when she was pregnant with him. Sidebar: this song always makes me cry! Beautiful track. "There's no way that I could pay you back but my plan is to show you that I understand" I'm done.
Its something that not many talk about. He was already in such a harsh environment before he was even born. His embryo was cultivated in prison. She was in jail until one month amd three days before he was born. He truly was different and a gift. No ones story is his, thats why no one can ever be him. !!!!
Best reaction channel I've seen, actually giving another insight to the music rather than just filming yourself listening 10/10 👌
This song is definitely brilliant and heartwarming to listen and make me appreciate my mother who is there for me. ❤😊
Anyone else just wanna call their mom (or mother figure) and tell them "you're appreciated" after listening to this? The power of music!
This song gives me chills everytime I listen to it and the first time I listened to it I teared up cuz me and my mom just happen to be goin thru a lot of shit at that point in time and like pac I didn’t grow up with my dad and from that point on I started to listening to all of Pacs music and I became a fan for life
PAC was a lyrical genius...keep ya head up is a good one too!
Pac is the best ❤❤
Classic! Never get tired of hearing "Dear Momma."
He was incarcerated when this was done...”I ain’t mad at ya,” came out after his death, and it literally is an accurate depiction of the night he died. The crazy thing is he filmed the video before he died. Like he saw it coming
There's an iconic moment from the 1999 MTV VMAs you should react to. They had Afeni Shakur (Pac's mom) and Voletta Wallace (Biggie's mom) come out and present an award together. 3 years after Pac's death and 2 years after Biggie's. It's a pretty incredible thing to see.
Ol Dirty Bastard- Shimmy shimmy Ya
Tupac eventually found out that his real father was not dead and he visited Tupac in the hospital after the Pac was shot the first time.
This song is preserved in the Library of Congress Recording Registry. It was released while he was in prison. The album "Me Against the World" debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
This song really has me emotion and overthinking life. 2pac and everything he was and what he created changed people's lives. This song is so real and truthful. RIP Pac ❤️🙏
THE LEGEND period
Good call on the Moonlight comparison. That scene at the end between Chiron and his mama was RAW.
“So many tears” a song from the album it was very similar sentiment.
That scene at the end when he goes in the ambulance is when he was shot outside a recording studio in New York.
It was filmed when he was in prison. It was based on quad studio shooting. Elevetor , and midlle finger when he got in the ambulance. Famous picture.. PLZ 2pac " streets r deathrow" & " everything the owe" , " all out" & " it aint easy"
His mama was a Black Panther. Respect ✊🏾
This was filmed while he was in prison. Dear mama was on me against the world album which came out in 95
Your reactions is something else Jack he said when he wrote this song he rapped it to his mom and she was crying on the phone and he was rapping it that's how he knew it was a hit!!! Tupac was serving his four and a half years sentence when this video was made
Every time I hear this song it brings on the tears. Being a mother myself I can't imagine losing a child.
This song and Nas “One last Dance” are two of the most emotional songs about their mothers.
This is my favorite song byTupac ,Written for his Mother Afeni Shakur ,It always brings tears to my eyes, when I think of what Good Mothers go through, but children don’t understand when their young, but as Mothers we love our children unconditionally,Beautiful Reaction,Happy Mother’s Day to,all the women out there taking care of your families,I salute you,Thank you Jack 🙏🏽.
The video for this came out when he was locked up. Not after he passed.
Yep she was a member of the Black Panthers
Rip Tupac & ms shakur 🥺🥺🥺♥️♥️♥️
The "Black Panther" reference refers to Pac's mother, who was a member of the Black Panther Party. Ole school.
The song came out in 95 on Me against the world. After he died they decided to make a video for it.
Yes that is Afena Shakur
Wow Jack what a thoughtful reaction. This is why i'm a Patreon and love your channel. You are so right, no MC makes you feel a song the way Tupac did. He indeed made several of his songs cry and blessed us with timeless music.
I love the remix to Dear Mama with Anthony Hamilton!!!!❤❤❤
Great reaction...doesn't get any better than dear mama hip hop at it's most highest level!!!
How did I miss these reactions??? Maybe it’s because I cry EVERY single time I listen to this song and A Song for Mama lol
This is it, one of true reputations on what Tupac delivered “never can be replaced” put that on everything 💕
Sampled from song by the Spinners "Sadie"
theres a couple of really touching interviews of Afena Shakur here on youtube, where she talks about dear mama, losing her son and the feeling she gets when listening to this track. They struck such a chord with me...so much so that the interview bought me to tears (i will try find it and send you the link). Her story was monumental and extraordinary yet she always remained incredibly humble, gracious and kind. An unmatched intellect with a truly admirable outlook on life. She raised a legend, a true poet, a force of nature but most importantly, an incredible human being. I will continue to celebrate Afena just as much as I/we do Tupac. I cant lie, I was really gutted when she passed on in 2016 but at least they are reunited in a truly better place. great reaction as always
I love my mamma
I remember I got my mother a card two years ago with PAC on the front and this song played as soon as you open it. It’s my mom favorite song by him❤️
His mom was a Black Panther!
Definitly I love your mood 😇😇😇😇😇😇💕💕💕
The melody was the spinners “Sade”
2pac "Letter to the President"
Pac always had a way of making you *feel* as said in this video. You pointed out the black panther in the vid, his mother was a member of the black panthers and was arrested while pregnant with Pac for protesting. Dope reaction
Yesss!! this song is beyond HipHop.. this is musical world-wide.. he was more than just a rapper.. he put his heart and soul into his music. RIP AFENI AND TUPAC SHAKUR
U finally did it.. enjoy the song brotha
He was locked up not dead when this came out. You have to do “ I ain’t mad at cha” now that will haunt because he died right after that video. It’s like a prophecy he had and the video literally plays out his murder.
The song "Changes" is so worth doing and that las verse is borderline prophetic. You'll understand when you hear it. Other topic: Did you catch that last scene on this video was a re-enactment of his elevator shooting? Mamma there all the time.
R.I.P 2Pac
THE G.O.A.T.!
This was 94, he passed in 96!
Casino Life right! For “me against the world” right?
Freddie Cabrera Yes, he was locked up when this Video was made, that’s why he isn’t in the video
Yes that was him mother 💕💕
His mother was a Black Panther. His step dad, where he got his name Shakur from, was kinda famous for being an important figure in the panthers. Tupac and his step dad Mutulu Shakur created the Code of Thug Life to address the out of control gang problem at the time. That's where the whole Thug Life thing came from.

A crime program of Mutulu Shakur I recently came across on here.

2pac and Outlawz member Kadafi were raised together, their mothers were both members of the Panthers and personal friends. They're both descendants of Black Panthers. That makes it even stranger that Kadafi was supposedly accidentally killed just 2 months after Tupac was murdered. Kadafi was accidentally shot in the head and killed by a cousin of another member of the Outlawz while they were playing with a gun. Or so they say anyway.
Idk understand the line about his father unless he's talking about his step-father cuz his father is still alive. Both him and his brother have done interviews about him since his death. His dad looks like his twin too. I don't remember why his dad said they didn't have a relationship in the Tupac and Biggie documentary but he talks about visiting him in the hospital after he got shot the second time.
When I was 10 my daddy was killed in a car accident. Now I only met the man three times in my whole life. I felt so bad at the funeral because I was not upset everyone else was crying and I was like I don't feel that. I thought I was a bad person. Then Pac came out with this song and the part about not feeling love for a stranger at the funeral even though that person is your father was what I felt. That made me stop feeling like a bad person. now keep in mind I was only 12 when Pac was killed. I remember that the cut out 5he radio station 104.7 and broke the news Pac been killed everyone was heartbroken. Pac had such an effect on me my son is named after Pac.
bro youre critics are always on point! 🌹 thats why our fav. reaction channel. You always look at the whole picture!
They sampled the song Sadie by The Spinners, its a r&b classic
He made the song right before he died, alot of videos or songs you here were played for us as his fans
Such an emotional song though
RIP Tupac And Afeni Shakur!
This is hands down my favorite Tupac song. It always makes me emotional to hear this song. Love it.
2pac's mom was a black panther and was arrested with 21 other blk panthers, while she was pregnant with him. They were accused of attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to bomb several police stations. Even though, she was looking at 300yrs, she ended up defending herself against the Untied States government and was acquitted, which is remarkable for anyone, let alone a young black woman in the 70's. She was obviously a very strong and intelligent woman. Unfortunately she did later become an addict during the crack epidemic, which she overcame, as well. Much respect to Afeni Shakur.
This came out when Pac was locked up.number one album in the us and he was jail.instrumental houston represent late great joe sample " in my wildest dreams" chorus late great bobby womack "sadie"
It was filmed while he was in jail. He is my favorite rapper/activist. He died the day before my 11th birthday. I was so distraught that I canceled my birthday party.
Jack you can pause it as many times as you like, that's a big reason why I tune in, you're very insightful and don' just blah blah. Your comments ARE the reaction so do you boo boo
I so glad you did this one. Very emotional, I think being because he talks about what probably everyone thought about with their momma. As grown woman I very thankful my momma got on my ass. He acknowledging her sacrifices, her teaching, her shortcomings, and her love. As others mentioned he was locked up. Nothing help you reflect than being in solitary confinement. A mother has a undeniable loyalty. What I like about their relationship is taught her son about being aware of your right's and standing up for yourself because her generation had to aggressively get respect. You Gotta appreciate the physical, knowledge, and emotional his mother gave
This song hits EVERYONE at some point❤️❤️ shitz magical honestly
God bless all the hardworking muvas out there
✨❤️🙌🏾 TUPAC
