Thanks for watching! :-) - Авто та транспорт
Excuse my stupid mistake by saying it was 200bhp! It is in fact 197bhp (200ps). Makes the results even better though!!
Very cool video bro and chanel iz the best.I folow it since tooday. All the best for you i wish..keep going man! From Serbia💪
They are 197bhp as standard so not actually lost anything
Still has the same power...effn brilliant...i love mk5s....cant reccomend em enough
Thats impressive how it hasn’t even lost any power realistically! Awesome video too bro :)
100k is just run in, loosened up nicely 😎
Mines just hit 210,000 kms. I think she is just broken in now ! 🤣
What's the service history like on it? shows they'll do loads of miles if people keep to the service intervals.
Mines serviced yearly and I do about 8-9 k a year.
I am believer of TSI engines! Everyone disses em but in reality they’re top notch engines. This has only strengthened my faith in the VW engines. Thanks for this interesting video
Cannot agree more never had any issues with any of my TSI golfs
@@danielrussell446 I haven’t had issues with my mk5 2.0 Tdi 2005 car
Seems like VW claimed 197hp stock in 2007, but actually it produced more hp than that. Lie in a good way👍
Literally exactly the same as the Polo GTI now, next collab will be interesting 😎
Did mine this year aswell. Stock motor over 100k kilometers on it and did 153kw. Good motors when looked after.
Another interesting video from Luke! I'm loving the Mk5 GTi content!
Thank you so much!
Very reliable cars...
I've currently got a stock mk5 GTI in manual and love it but toying with whether to go to a stage 1 at rtech, lately my thermostat has started playing up a known issue.
Yep I went for stage 1, my thermostat wasnt perfect before the map, but had it fixed. Fix that before your remap.
Nice car collection going on. 👍
These engines freak me out the way they need a full timing chain service every 50-60k. What a ballache. No wonder there's so many for cheap sale around the 60k mile mark. :D
Everyone loves a mk5 GTI Enjoyed that video really good are you missing the Golf GTI yet ? Also any cars you regret selling? Next video for you lol
You went past the old Audi next to cupra
These youngens are made of money. Fuck my life is shit!
What black magic is this? Not even a boost leak on the crappy charge pipes?
Great to get a baseline before you start work
I’ll bet it’s had a carbon clean as the TSI is prone to carbon build up on the inlet valves.
No invoice for it in the history, but it must’ve been done in the past
@@hampshirephoto great video 👍
Thanks!
Mines going in tomorrow for that - carbon clean and injectors and a large bill 😟
Didnt lose any bhp lol .
Does he want to sell me an S3 back box lol
So no loss after so much time and miles. Go figure... shows that the car was take care of by the previous owner. :)
Was that an RS2 In the back?? surely that is the most interesting car there??
🤙🏼
Gti looking clean

Incredible! amazing you got such a good one
Lil beast! 👌🏻🚀
@@hampshirephoto the rocket ship 🚀
All those exhausts just sitting outside😂
Will this car be ruined or OEM+ after the map please don't put it on coil overs..
What an awesome lineup of cars 🙌🏻
Hurry up and get a big fat turbo on the Golf 🐌
Nice one, hardly lost any bhp 👍
Would be interesting to see the power/torque difference as you go through the stages (stage 1/2 etc) gradually.
Thats actually stock power.. 197bhp=200PS so it hasn't actually lost any power at all. Nice healthy engine🔥 can't wait for the stage 1 results video
German cars seem to keep there power over the miles,my old e36 328 sport was 8hp up over stock with 153k on the clock.
The vag 2 ltr engines as you know are very tuneable.
Great content lately.
That is very promising to know that it has not lost any ponies under the bonnet -200ps (197bhp). Mines on 128k and I’m having injectors and carbon clean on Monday to sort an issue out at a VAG specialist. I have been thinking about selling and changing it for a mk7.5 but I just can’t bring myself to do so. Mines is clean clean too.
My mk5 GTI with stage 2+ mods and no map made 220bhp on R Techs dyno... good cars these mk5s
What my audi a4 b7 sline se 2.0tfsi same engine planning to take it 300bhp +
Good video and some lovely cars. Did you do a video on the gti being detailed?
Didn’t have any to start with did it? 😜
Sorry Mr V12 😭
Seen you in Bradford doing donuts in the 140 😍😍
Nice Gulf mate! My neighbour has the same car 👍😊
Great video Luke can't wait to see it tuned
Shows how strong these 2.0 VW engines are. No wonder used in so many vehicles. Just got a new Cupra Formentor VZ edition with the 310ps engine. Be interesting to see what it actually is pushing out once run in
Great video Luke! its lost only 3hp!
Such a great MK5 GTI ! :D
I have ended up with one of these after some young idiot t boned my mk6 gtd in October. My mate had it sitting for a year and was letting it rot got it with 88k full service history and super rare gti wingback from factory so got it as a stop gap! Now im torn between selling it in summer or just turning it into an absolute beast there lovely cars tad bit thirsty for my liking though 🤣
I had one of these a few years back, first Dyno run at R-tech ran 208bhp they said the later ones had a different ECU from memory which surprised me. Just quickly Luke can you get a battery cover for it, my OCD is going nuts 😂. Enjoying the content 👍
I’ve just bought a mk5 gti only got a ram air intake on it however I am so keen to do a stage 1, let us know if it’s worth it !
It's not so bad, at all 👌
640 Nm of torque for the M140i?? It sounds too much for it 🤔
Great vid looking forward to the tune, where are these guys based out of interest?
I got my Mk5 golf GTI remapped stage 1 the other day, only done a pre cat delete and an oversized induction kit. Got 222bhp stock then 266bhp after the map. No idea why my car is so quick😂
First?
👍🏻😎
@@hampshirephoto 😱🤯, will you be doing a review on the mrk 8 golf 8 in the future??
Hopefully soon yes!
@@hampshirephoto awesome can’t wait! Keep up the awesome content!
Really appreciate it 👍🏻🚀
For an 07-plate, 100,000 miles is a rare bargain....and its kept its 197 bhp i.e. the dealership-200 bhp advertising of the day. Loved these for years, (especially the Edition: 30) and in the best colour, it has to be black, and a 3dr no doubt about it....
Was it running on vpower?
The video I have waited for is here 😁
Hope you enjoy!!
✌️🔥
I bought 5 years old bmw 335d bone stock car, from a dentist and on the dyno it showed not the 313hp that bmw claimes, but real 366hp on tock map.
🤔........ 🤣🤣🤣
