Thanks for taking the time to post a comment. Making these and sending them out on the net is like working in a vacum in that you really dont know if they are helping people. Thanks again

Thanks for this video....this will give me the confidence to try this on my 2007 GSA. I've done the plugs several times so I might as well go that next step and adjust he valves on my own...thanks again for the very helpful illustrations and explanations.

Hope spring is not too far away and that you have a safe riding season. I'm off the bike. After evacuating for hurricane Irma on the 1100 RS I was cooked as well as the bike. I have it to a friend who lost a sweetheart as a result of the hurricane. We got it back to speck and he has two new loves, the bike and a girlfriend.

Thank you so much, great video. The bit about the covers at the end is awesome too, I may have wrestled that awhile lol.

Like the videos short and sweet. Just did my adjustment this weekend. Thanks for the guide.
Tip- remove cover and advance crank with nut on front alternator pulley. "bumping" (two hands and pulling, hard) rear wheel becomes a two man job. OT mark goes past too fast to see, as well.

Something you should add is to use the mark on the flywheel as seen through the hole under the rubber plug on the right side near the throttle body and to adjust the cylinder that is on its compression stroke (those valves will be loose) THEN rotate the crankshaft 360 degrees and do the other cylinder. I rotate the crankshaft 360 degrees again & double check the valve clearances.

Thanks Dave, Could you explain how it would help people find it? I would like to know more about links and SEO. If people are already watching the video how would the link help? Please do not take as questioning or criticism. I am in the learning curve of the net and how all the pieces of the spider web fit together. Thanks in advance

Great vid John. You've got a great style explaining things from beginning to end. Great for beginners like me.
What do maladjusted valves sound like? Or how can you tell if they need adjusting?
I've developed an engine noise on my 1150 rt ('03) and I'm hoping it's as easy to fix as a valve adjustment. Basically it starts to knock between 4000-5000rpm at 60-90 km/h with the throttle slightly engaged. Ideas?

Hello John- for the Valve adjustment- do I have to empty the engine oil first? or it is not neccesary? because after take out the engine cover- oil will come out.
    Pls let me know.
    thank you John -

Not John here but you don't need to drain it. There is just a little bit of oil coming out, not even need to refill the amount.
