Transport For Wales - Class 67’s on the Welsh March’s line at Ludlow

Views and sounds of some proper locomotive haulage on the ‘Welsh Marches’ line at Ludlow on 15th and 16th November 2023.
A number of Transport For Wales services between Holyhead and Cardiff and Manchester to Cardiff / Swansea are rostered for Class 67 power with ex LNER mark 4 coaches and DVT’s. The sight of mark 4 coaches off the East Coast Main Line is unusual enough, however is now a daily sight on this route.
Some of the mark 4s are ones which were destined for Grand Central but never made it into service and were redeployed on the TFW workings.
Wednesday 15th November:
1W23 1649 Cardiff Central to Manchester Piccadilly - 67015 in DB red livery with mark 4 set HD01 in ex LNER livery, lead by DVT 82226.
1V50 1630 Manchester Piccadilly to Swansea - 67008 in Transport For Wales livery, with mark 4 set HD04, lead by DVT 82201.
1W96 1714 Cardiff Central to Holyhead - 67020 in TFW black livery, with DVT 82200.
Thursday 16th November:
1V91 0533 Holyhead to Cardiff Central, lead by DVT 82200 with 67020 on the rear.
1V37 0830 Manchester Piccadilly to Cardiff Central, DVT 82201 leading with 67008 on the rear.
1W55 0849 Cardiff Central to Manchester Piccadilly, DVT 82230 with TFW black liveried 67022 on the rear.
