A place like this with a history going back thousands of years I can only imagine what it must be like to stand there in such a sacred place and look upon a stone carved by the hands of the ancestors so long ago.

Wouldn't it be a great idea to
    a) capture those stories on this medium and
    b) give classes on ogham on this medium. At least have an aul debate with our Scottish, English and Scandinavian neighbours. One day we'll all be gone; at least here the oral lore can continue.
Might be an idea to bring scholars from hindi speaking areas,Turkey and Northern Africa into the mix.
There is little to no correlation between modern Irish and the older words for the trees used in ogham. The ogham charts on line use a different panel to denote 1-5 for example than was portrayed on film above. Some of us are up to our eyes in kids and jobs and life and would love to study this stuff academically but for most it's just not feasible.
Same with the high crosses. They seemed to be filled with more astronomy and astrology than they do gospel scenes!
Watched a video on a sculptor in ireland commisioned to recreate a high cross and ship to America. Some of the inscriptions were worn away so he filled in the blanks as best he could. So scholars in america will now be studying an (albeit not without thought) opinion!
Sometimes I think this existence of ours is designed just like a phoenix; designed to delete all traces of its path and start over every few generations! Gotta keep diggin though! 🙏🎶🍻☀️

good idea - plus, do yourself a favour and check out the Anthony Woods thesis of Atlantis Ireland - the notion being that the pre-Celtic Gaels were a sea-faring, astronomically educated, megalith building mother-culture that spread right across the ancient world, giving rise to The pharoanic tradition in Egypt, as well as the original Indo-European culture in India and the mystery schools in Greece, amongst others. His YT channel is 'Keystone University' - worth a watch.

The ancient Khasi people who navigated the ancient world leaving their marks all over Europe and the British Isle, who are now settled in their homeland called the Khasi Hills at the foot hills of the Himalayas in North East India, built megaliths, monoliths and stone circles and are still doing so to this very day are the ones who left these beautiful stones, showing their respect to mother nature, vowing to be good stewards of the land! Pliny De Elders in his book Natural History, documented these British Isles as "Cassiteredes" the tin Island, because the Khasi people were mining tin in these Island. King Cassivellaunus from the Casi Clan led the defense against Julius Caesar's second expedition to Britain in 54 BC. History needs to be unearth to tell the true and amazing ancient History of the Khasi People!
