Ken Scott is such a fantastic, honest man and a brilliant sound engineer and producer. Thank you for bringing this box set into being and adding more fully to the cannon of David’s work. I loved the whole of this interview hearing how the Hunky Dory sessions bled into the Ziggy and what Ken has tweeted drum/guitar to give us a more rounded sound.
Great! Hunky Dory and Ziggy Stardust are such different records it's baffling that they were recorded so close to each others, with the same producer(s)!
@demah8655 Mick was a mild mannered quiet decent unassuming northerner. Then, a guitar placed in his hands, sent us across the cosmos with his celestial gloriousness. Love your cats!
It's likely the best box set for one album. But don't forget the sets like "Five Years", "Who Can I Be Now", " A New Career In a New Town" and "Sound and Vision".
at a buffet, i personally sneak corndogs into the buffet so others can enjoy them. I hide 6 corndogs in my jacket pockets. it then, is a joy for me to see other patrons of the establishment eat my corndogs thinking they were part of the buffet.
ATMOS mixes sound cool but the novelty wears off quickly for me and its not worth the investment for a real atmos room and not just "atmos" headphones. I'm fine with good old stereo, original or remixes.
So don't listen to them. Some albums were poorly mixed originally; be it from inexperience, studio limitations, or questionable decision making. Then there's remixes where a song can be extended, other instruments added, other ideas can bring a fresh sense to it.
@@s.scottsdale1839 And then there´s the endless remasters and remixes for anniversary editions so that the record company can sell more copies to fans who already have the album in 15 formats...
It's so cool that Ken Scott did this. Thank you for all the music, Ken!
Such a modest man, Ken Scott is a true legend.

I think remixes are unnecessary.
